I enjoyed watching the Deus II lock on to that tiny half dime. Thanks for the video.

Nailed an 1865 half dime 6 months ago with the D2 in extreme trash and highly mineralized ground about 8 inches, thought for sure it was a nail. Hot ground will do that to ya. Low mintage last year civil war, in really nice shape. Congrats!

Congrats on the half dime, someone on reddit sent me a $20 seated liberty dime, a barber dime too

Bet you’re tempted to go back one more time, after pulling that lovely silver. Great find dude!

Hey Brad!! absolutely will be going back even though I’ve been hammering that small area😊 tempted to dig up some of the iron and get it out of the way

I just ordered a deus 2 on layaway on black friday, it arrived yesterday, been testing steel core coins on it and its a bit of hit and miss, mono program hits them good, but i prefer the steel coins on the deus 1 to deus 2 mono program, FMF in default program settings is silent on the coins, if i lower the silencer it lets them in, but seems to let big iron in too, i need to get some use in the field, but we have like 2 feet of snow ❄️

@@digginggopher I hope the D2 works out for you. Other than some EMI issues it works rather well for me. Regarding steel coins, I don’t have that problem here in the US yet… and I say yet cause who knows what they’ll start making steel coins here. SMF It’s nice for many applications but not to “be all, end all” sometimes you need to use single frequencies but as we know that’s a debate that can get ugly and I try to steer clear of the drama.😂😂😂. I think I have one Canadian quarter that sticks to a magnet. I have to find it and mess with it with my Metal Detectors, never thought to.
Stinks that you have to deal with 2 feet of snow, I’ve been trying to get out down here as much as possible before the real cold and snow sets in. Thanks for watching!!!

@DigginDude-vt8sx the quarter that sticks to a magnet may be steel or nickel, 2000 and later are steel 1999 and earlier are nickel

@@digginggopher yep I found it 2009 men’s hockey quarter. Did someone color it or did they come with part of the Maple leaf red on the reverse side?

@@DigginDude-vt8sx Canada has many colour enamel coins, most coloured coins also have a non-colourised version too

Buttons and a half dime, Congrats they are so small. Not a Zinc this time. It is funny like you said you get warm when you find a good one, me too. Are you gloves warm? Thanks for sharing.

@@DetectDigSmile hey thanks for watching! Had those pesky zinc pennies… 85 all day long until they start deteriorating then they ring up like Indian heads. The halfdime was one of my white whales. Happy to dig it didn’t realize they came up 85 on the XP. Those gloves are warm, but as you will see in the next upcoming videos, I’m wearing heated gloves. I have problems with my hands from all the years I used to steelhead fish up by Lake Ontario in the winter. 😎

@@DigginDude-vt8sx Cool I dug my first 2 weeks ago, 85 86, I thought to myself I wonder how many I passed up, I know now so be ready half dimes I am coming for you.

@@DetectDigSmile just remember watch that cherry picking. I don’t do a lot of it because you end up missing too many good things that come up 84/85/86 etc. especially on the beach with rings. I do understand it can become cumbersome to constantly dig certain targets, especially mid tones, but I just look at it as part of the hobby and you never know when you get a little something special.😊

Could the piece that at the end of the video that you are unsure of be a crotal bell? looks to have the curvature of one. the bottom section of it.

    • @DigginDude-vt8sx

@@mattwinchester875 hey Matt, thanks for watching. Yeah I think it’s possible it’s part of a crotal bell, maybe a larger one that I’m used to, going by the curvature. 😎
