My seven year old would yell at me if he heard you calling it water dinosaurs. He would say, they are marine reptiles!
Just going to be that guy and point out that none of the creatures in the water pack are dinosaurs either. Dunkleosteus is a fish, and the others are marine reptiles.

Personally, these expansions add a nice variety to the base game. They actually have you think differently when it comes to building your park.
I actively hate the hybrids lol. Water and Ice Ages look cool tho.
A bunch of diffrent mosasaurs and plesiosaurs and a placoderm fish... cool but no ichthyosaur :(
Dinosaur World and Dinogenics are my fav dinosaur-park games! One (DG) is about the overall running of a Dino park and the other (DW) focuses on the closer view of jeep tours around the facilities :)
I've stuck to Dinogenics with Controlled Chaos.
To save on shelf space, highly recommend the official insert from e-Raptor. You can fit all three expansions in the base box with maybe 2mm of lid lift.
You can also 3d print an insert for $10

I'd go for the Folded Space insert! Only $21, totally worth it :)) And it comes in color too, with proper markings for what components goes where!
There are no such a thing as water dinosaurs, hehe. They are prehistoric marine reptiles. All dinosaurs are terrestrial.
Do you guys feel these add to game? I got the full set on KS, but I haven't touched the expansions. It looked like they might not do much and I kind of regretted getting them.
Is this a sequel followup type deal to Dinosaur Island?
They said it was kinda that, but it's not. Some items are better, some are worse. Its like another version so I would not have both games. For me, I think I liked island more. In island you get visitors, in world, you take a path through tiles like a safari and the tiles get less useful the more you visit them. And there are TONS of little pieces. If you have island, skip this, if you don't, decide do you want a safari tile placement or just a more simple park builder. This one is Def a bit more complex, which is why I feel island is better

Nope, I was also confused by that.
It's just upgraded components and a solo mode. Basically, not worth it unless you want the solo cards

Hi Tom, what do you mean by end game scoring with regards to dinosaur colour types?
Dinos are based on colors/types like red carnivores, green erhivores. So basically you get 1 point for every red Dino (every carnivore)
@@NoxSicarius1 thanks, is this extra 1 point for red dinos during end game scoring only for the expansions? I cant find it in my base game rules?
@@benjaminjohnson8377 I believe so. It's only for special tiles.
Mosasaurs (giant marine reptiles) are not dinosaurs!
