- We take on The Trifecta! This is part 2 of our long trail day that covered Poison Spider, Golden Spike, and Gold Bar Rim!
Can a stock Jeep JL Wrangler wheel on 6 and 7 rated trails in Moab? What do you need to start off-roading? Do you really need that 3 inch lift with high flex control arms and 37 inch mud tires? Well don't think you do, so I head to Moab and find out if I can conqueror trails out west in a stock Jeep JL Wrangler Rubicon.

I love that you got the two door.
2 Door Excelent for off road ...
I did all these trails with a bone stock TJ Rubicon. With no damage.
My exact configuration, including color @ NoGasWelcomeAboard. So far JL always more capable than driver is willing 😄Couldn’t agree more on upgrades, though likely going to 37’s when current 35” Nittos wear out. Subbed as I love watching “my” Jeep in your videos!
It seems like a 2 door Jeep only really needs 35s. 37s are a bit over kill huh?
I think so too.
Truly awsome video. The camera angles and narration were on point. Subscribed
Thank you!!
Yep!! Same here! 🤙🏼
Big props to you my friend
Picking up my 2020 Rubicon Recon JLU super low miles on Wednesday
I did Hell's Revenge, Top of the World and Fins N Things no problem in my 2021, 2 door JL no mods, 33 inch tires. Zero damage! Of course some scrapes on the skid plates but that's what they're there for.
Did you do Hell’s Gate?
@@SeekTheOpen Yessir! Did everything except the escalator!
maybe lower air pressure will give more grip for your jeep
Epic video man. Subd. Keep it up 😎
Thanks for watching’
Great video. We completed this trail in stock JLUR but we were on skids quite a bit. I agree on the factory rear steel bumper. Its kinda flimsy. We bent it in on the golden crack a bit. And it put a small dent in the tub. The front steel bumper seems to hold up really well though. I've been wanting to get a 2 door rubicon. It's cool to see one taking on the trails. Any plans for suspension work?
I’d like to do a 2.5 inch Metalcloak gamechanger
Beautiful country think it’s time for you to get to work and build a rear bumper so get the welder out and start fabricating
Haha I haven’t welded in some time but I agree that it needs to be addressed
Do you feel like the 4 door is more capable? I’ve got a TJ “first time Jeep owner. Wife has a JLUR stock, and that thing seems to go more places than mine can and never uses lockers. Have you noticed that the 2 door can’t do as much as the 4 door?
It really depends on the type of terrain. I think that a 2 door is more capable out of the box. But a 4 door can lifted with 37s is hard to beat
Awesome
Could the stock wheels run your aftermarket tires or did you need new wheels for those tires?
Stock wheels would be fine
The rubicon comes with a rear locker too right?
Yes
You also need a really good spotter or you could be in some serious trouble
That’s a great point. Having a good spotter and getting out to walk the line are essential.
Happy I found your channel. Excellent demeanor and low key commentary with detailed information. Excellent driving without hammering the skinny pedal. Letting your Jeep Rubicons do what they are capable of, slow methodical climbing. Very safe driving styles, and I understand why. As a new 2 door owner, it’s great to see what they can do. Keep up the great work and JEEP on! O|||||||O
@@mikesters3532 thanks!!!
2nd that, nice driving without beating the S$%^ out of your rig. They call it crawling for a reason. Well done.
You and your voice could narrate an action movie. Seriously
Thanks! 🤠
