I had to do very little to get this video done, all the credit goes to FERGUFOOL: / fergufool
he is not active anymore, but when he was, he uploaded great stuff in the greatest quality and the best descriptions too. I consider him the ultimate Craig Ferguson fan and I base that on the descriptions he makes for the videos & what kind of videos he uploaded back in the day. I just put these together from him.
I know, I forgot to do any work on the outro, It's because I've fallen out of the habit of making these videos and it doesn't come to me automatically, I have to think about it to get it right. Glad you're here, enjoy!

sometimes i feel like craig's entire late night tv career was just to troll the entire concept of late night tv
That's been his whole schtick...in his own words "to decompose the late night television idea".
The gay robot skeleton was obviously a dig at the useless sidekick hosts (ie: Ed McMahon and other stiffs like him).
It was his intention from the very start.

Been alive long enough to remember 40 years of late night. Besides Johnny Carson on a good night, Craig is BY FAR the funniest late night host throughout the years.
You can’t really compare the two though. Johnny was a polished host who liked to have every moment scripted and planned. Craig loves to wing it, (or at least he has the appearance of doing so). They are both great in their own way.
@@Kev_Shmev if you averaged the length and volume of laughs divided by total words spoken the funniest person in the history of late night was Tommy Newsome.
Johnny: "Where's Doc?"
Tommy: "He's in Florida, he's going to TAMPA with his wife."
Except for the exceptional Craig this compilation also shines a little light on the brilliance of the invisible actor improvising all of the Geoff feedback to Craigs utterly random and unpredictable outbursts of sheer funny. They do so really great together!

I tried backing up all your work JLF and I didn't even get a quarter of the way in before the gargantuan task before me was revealed and the true scope of your effort was visible to me. I honestly don't think many of us can grasp, truly, the sweat and tears you've put into this channel. It is absolutely absurd, almost dreamlike, that this channel even exists. Bless you. We love you. It's pretty easy to find a tool to download playlists from RUclips.
It's about a hundred gigabyte...just takes an hour or so depending on your internet speed.

I live in Bosnia and Herzegovina and discovered this guy, this team and this show by pure luck on this ocean of videos. I just wonna say thank you. He was and still is a helpfull meducine during bad times or when I just desire for some laughs. Btw, unscripted parts of show and conversation between Craig and Geoff are priceless comedic history.
We should do some kind of a kickstarter campaign to get Craig back on a brand new show. Give me your blessing JLF!

I wonder of we could have a compilation of him, when he was emotional, like when his father, and mother died, when he talked about his past alcoholic history, etc.
I couldn't watch that. The opening where he was talking about his mother was so hard to watch. He could barely hold himself together. At the end of the monologue he just stares into space realizing his parents are gone. It was heartbreaking.
What is it that Miracle Max said.... "Why don't you just give me a paper cut and pour some lemon juice into it????!!!"
Pure unadulterated comedy. I remember hearing about the late late show but never really put much thought into it because all the late shows are dull and boring. After I discovered this, I feel so ashamed that I didn’t put much thought into it plus it’s all over now. Thank you so much Jayleno Fly for doing all of this, your work is not in vain. I do wish Mr. Ferguson will come back or do something as incredible as this again

Yeah, at the end of the day its all ass kissing, even Conan. Craig never did that, he just talked to guests lile normal people.

Nick Zec well said. Craig perfected his craft with no writers to do his jokes, it all came from his natural ability to entertain people and improvise comedic timing that makes you being tricked at first and then he brings in the funniest punchline that you never saw it coming. A real golden comedian

@@seamac206 I think he did for a while but it ran longer than he expected. Word was he was gonna walk halfway through his run but he decided to stay on as long as Letterman was on before him.
But I think he liked it in the long run; if you watch his demeanor during the monologue of his last episide he seemed genuinely choked up and emotional.

Kinda hard to tell if Craig meant his rants seriusly sometimes and just took the turn to comedy so it could be part of the show. I'm honestly not sure if he was genuinely mad sometimes or if he was acting.
With 99.9% of people, I am absolutely sure what they're up to.

As funny as Craig is, let’s reserve a little praise for the very talented Josh Robert Thompson aka Geoffrey Peterson, the Gay Robot.
I wish that George Takei would have done the voice of Geoff just once.

Craig did the pre-recorded voice, at the beginning, but that was a disaster. Larry King did a guest spot as the robot voice in 2011. Larry was amusingly clueless. Some other celebs did guest spots when Josh was away: Alfred Molina, Dominic Monaghan, Thomas Lennon, Larry King, Louie Anderson, Lauren Graham, Paula Poundstone, Angela Kinsey, Jason Schwartzman, and Shadoe Stevens (who also did the opening of the show).

I agree partly. Craig Ferguson had the greatest late night talk show of his time. Hands down. To have Geoff as a sidekick is just brilliant. But, not all late shows since have tanked. Most have though.

Great stuff! Read both of his books and he’s so good! Miss the late show and since he gave it so many years ago, I’ve never tuned in because other hosts don’t come close. I respect Letterman of course but have watched Carson, Leno etc… not funny and original like Craig and Geoff!! Thanks for these memories on RUclips. Priceless!! 😂
