As I was a kid back then I used to play with them a lot and sadly I gave most of my figures away (which now I regret). I have memories of getting the Remembrance Set in 2011, getting figure sets throughout the years, getting figure for Birthdays and Christmases, having a Tardis playset, building my dalek and cyberman armies, I actually remember my first ever figure I got was the genetic 10th Doctor in brown suit that was released way back in Wave 1 in February 2006 and my last figures I got were the cybermats and Pegdoll in November 2011 for my 13th Birthday, to think that is more than 10 years ago now is mad and upsetting to be honest, however I have great memories of my time with Character Options Figures.
Amazing video as always-i haven't actually got the new sculpt RTD daleks and am currently stuck with 5 fatleks, Anyway, i'd love to see more of these sort of reviews-maybe the master, or companions would be a good choice to do for your next yesteryear review:)
Finally, a great video well done, I always thought that they could do a 3 pack of time war daleks so damaged and dirty daleks like seen in day of the doctor! ps you could do a yesteryears on 3.75 inch range!? (If you do then good luck as most 3.75 inch figures are s**t!)

Dalek thay is not damaged, he was missing panels because they needed dalekanium to but on the roof of the Empire State Building to harness the gamma energy, and due to them being stuck in 1930 new york, the only dalekanium there was on a dalek casing, so dalek thay sacrificed his. Thats why dalek sec said “we have all made sacrifices” before he sacrificed himself for the final experiment.
Excellent review! I live in the States, so the Dalek Collector's Sets are harder to find, but some of the newer figures are available. I own that new Dalek Sec, and he looks amazing. It's exactly what you'd expect it to be, with the glossy black, the matte on the skirt. There's one gripe I have with the new sculpt, and that's the mobility. The arms can just BARELY move. If the arm-ball stuck out JUST A BIT more, then perhaps that could be rectified. I can barely pose Sec's arms at all (The same with the bronze Asylum Dalek too).
toastAHHH that's a different kind of Woolworths the British version closed its stores in 2008 and the brand name became defunct in 2015 when the website closed down there's still a Woolworths building somewhere in the UK however it has rotted away and only has the original sign left

My argos rc dalek drone was plagued with motor issues, returned the following day received a new one ( after seeing the previous one still sitting on the floor of the complaints department ) tried the second one but it seemed to have the same issue but a bit more mobile. Gave up and took the batteries out to use as a regular figure.

I had most of these as a kid. I specifically remember having multiple basic bronze daleks, thay, sec, davros and the supreme dalek from the set. I also had lots of classic grey, silver and blue daleks and the now rare gold and black supreme from planet of the daleks. I can't remember what happened to them when i moved house. I asked my mum what happened to them after seeing how much the black and gold supreme costs now and she says that she can't remember but i think i might have left them in the attic when we moved :( really wish i could get them all back. So much nostalgia in this vid. The improved dalek sculpt is still perfect after all these years. And that Churchill and iron side set should not have been a SDCC exclusive. Churchill, union jacks and tea... i mean, you can't get more British than that but it was released at an american comic convention. Bit stupid really. Same as the updated dalek sec being released as a US exclusive TWICE.

The B;ack and Gold Dalek was designed for Parting of the Ways (one even with a round buzzsaw arm in place of the sucker!) but was not ultimately used on screen. Google “Black Dalek Parting of the Ways” to see the CGI model. When the RC Dalek Battle Packs were being planned and manufactured, lead time was a good year to market and the New Series had not yet even debuted, so they didn’t know the Black n Gold Dalek wouldn’t actually be seen (tho the idea of a Black Dalek was obviously used for Sec Later in the Cult of Skaro). The design of the Daleks wasn’t entirely locked down until late in the day and a bizarre early prototype BattlePack can be found online where the Daleks heads are very squished looking domes! I quite like them!

I don't mean to sound like a jerk when I say this, but regarding the U.S. exclusive Dalek Sec figure, now you Brits know how us Americans (at least me) feel. Doctor Who figures, at least in my neck of the woods, are EXTREMELY scarce, & I believe it's because when stores get them, they are not shipped directly from the company. I think the stores have to order them themselves online, & not from the companies. Underground/Character need to get their act together in terms of importing D.W. (Doctor Who) stuff to the different regions.

I know you said it didn’t bother you, but I dunno, the Dalek Emperor not being able to turn his head would REALLY get on my nerves. Maybe that’s just me, but I prefer to have Daleks that are able to turn their heads, especially such an awesome design as the Emperor.
I DETEST the 'New Paradigm' Daleks. They look toy-like, and almost cuddly. That is not a good thing for a Dalek. I'm so glad that they got sidelined in the show, almost immediately, and, in fact, new bronze Dalek props have been built since. The toy versions of the 'New Paradigm' Dalek do fly apart nicely if you add a firework to them, by the way.

My favorite Daleks are the grey ones from the 70's, but if I had to choose, the red Supreme Dalek from Journey's End is a close second.
