    Great review and very helpful!! My brother just woke up after a 6 month Covid coma and now we are working on reconditioning. I am determined to get him home whether it be by wheelchair, walker or cane but NOT in a bed.

      Good luck. I was in coma for 49 days. 6 months is an incredible amount of time. After I awoke. I recovered M y walking abilities without physical therapy. I'm sure he has better options than I did. Best wishes for you and him.

    Best video about starting the Powerball! Thank you so much!
    Tips of how to hold your arm and wrist are actually very important. After other videos I never got the ball going. The only problem - the ball is too big for a woman's palm

    This was much more helpful and informative than the powerball website. I'm rehabilitating after two wrist ops and this was excellent. Thank you

    I've used these for over 30 years. You don't need a string once you know what you are doing. They were invented long, long ago. For getting the rotor to accelerate - Move your wrist in such a way (attitude, phase, frequency, etc.) that you feel the MOST resistance. That resistance is YOU pumping power INTO the rotor. If you don't feel that resistance, no energy/power is being directed into the rotor, and the rotor will slow down and stop. So it is a feedback loop where you are sensing what to do second by second.

    I have one of these. I think they’re best for keeping blood flowing between workouts so you recover faster. However what I have found is my pull up strength has improved after using this for just a week. Mines the signature series.

  • @diogeneslantern18
    @diogeneslantern18 3 года назад +1

    You can spin it in any motion - eg left and right like opening a doorknob - you just need to coax the flywheel onto the gyroscopic plane

    • @diogeneslantern18
      @diogeneslantern18 3 года назад

      It's also incredibly easy to start - the technique is to start slowly and build up speed very slowly until you get momentum - if you hear clicking at the beginning then it's going too fast

  • @gyrobull

    Great video! We love how you're promoting the benefits of using a gyroball to improve strength and dexterity. We've also developed a methodology that focuses on sustainable efforts and results while activating the entire upper limbs. We believe our approach can complement what you're already doing and take your training to the next level. Keep up the great work!

    Throw the sting away immediately. Much quicker to spin the gyro with your free hand or thumb. Watch videos by RPM Power for the best tutorials...not that this one is lacking good info. This is an excellent video and he's correct about his facts. Except for the string thing......on day two you'll throw it away too.

    this is weird to expain, but you shouldnt actively move your wrist either. when you try to hold that thing still with all your might, after cranking it hard, you will eventually find the spot, whereit causes reflexive movements to self-oscillate. like jittering you knee on an oncomfortable airplane toilet.

  • @benjaminstuckey9044
    @benjaminstuckey9044 8 лет назад

    I couldn't get mine to work and got so pissed off that I pulled the string so hard that it jumped off and got stuck inside the ball. Then I pulled the string out and think a piece broke off in it. I have strong wrists and am pretty coordinated but I can't figure out for the life of me how to get this going for more than 10 seconds. I don't think it should be this difficult. Will keep trying but this thing is very frustrating.

    • @benjaminstuckey9044
