Bait dog Nova needs urgent medical help

- Nova was brought into the vet in horrible condition. Major bite wounds on both ears and inner thighs that are super infected.
Our vet believes she was being used as a bait dog. She will need a CT Scan of her head because the right ear wounds are so deep the cartilage is showing which means she may need a TECABO (total ear canal ablation) at a cost of around $7K.
Nova is not spayed and appears to have recently had puppies. She’s also anemic.
The owner wanted to take her home against medical advice but thankfully was convinced to surrender the dog to WUFAW instead.
Nova is such a sweet girl even after everything she’s been through. She deserves a second chance at a better life.

The governorment needs laws against people using animals for bait .

ANYTIME this horrendous situation occurs, these poor pups need the BEST care available the owners property is seized auctioned off every penny goes to pay for the care these animals need, and the owners are put in prison for a minimum of 5 years.

I hope the owner got put in prison for life because of what he did, didn't even try to help nova and just wanted her to die but she is safe, I hope she gets a loving family to appreciate who she is , love, take care of her because she loves unconditionally
