  • Episode 2 Here: • How a 1000+HP Evo Gets...
    In today's episode, I had the opportunity to visit the guys over at JRP Performance in Los Angeles, California.
    Two of the owners, Roni, and Jeffery were kind enough to show me around the shop and show me their Evo as well as deep dive on how high HP Evo motors are built!
    I hope you enjoy the part 1 video of this 3 episode mini series!

    What's crazy about this video is that I was interested in watching it but saw 20 minutes and thought "I dunno that I got that kinda time..." and I decided to start watching and suddenly POOF 20 minutes gone. Dude is really interesting to listen to. :D Great video man. :)

    Roni is the man... I inherited all my dads Mitutoyo measuing tools which he used from the 60's. They are so so accurate still. To hear that Roni uses them shows he is a pro imo.
    Awesome to CZ Media showing JRP.

    Wow. As a subaru guy, some of those Evo heads look so similar with how they do things on Subarus.
    The buckets look the same as the suby turbo models. Those intake ports aswell look so similar. Very similar shape port. As does the combustion chambers. Interesting to see it.

    He's pretty good but plastigage is better than precision tools for a bunch of reasons. Cheaper and simpler doesn't mean less effective. One reason is that metal tools expand and contract just from the heat of your hand and it changes the readings, let alone ambient temperature and user error.

"Oh that guy has 700hp, but this other guy has 800hp. 700hp guy needs to get 900 or he's just gonna be stuck slow at 700hp" wait what.....700hp is still going to be stupidly fast and as we all know, theres always someone with oil money who is going to be faster, calm down internet.

    • @darianistead2239
      @darianistead2239 5 лет назад

      Not really lol, I remember back in New Zealand watching Docile run in 2004, Andre Simon from speedtech motorsport whom had the fastest evo in the world at the time with 1041hp(real hp not american hp) and the multitude of high hp low 9 or 10sec full street legal evos he pumped out of his shop which was 15 years ago. And street legal in NZ is far harder to accomplish than in any state in America, including California, i.e full interior, engineer report if above 25%, power increase and 6 month mandated road worthy checks.
