Telling a musician that they're 'naturally talented' feels diminishing. I can confidently tell you NO performing musician ever was incredible when playing their instrument for the first time. Being a musician is incredible hard work, and the more 'talented' a musician seems, actually it's probably that that arist puts in incredible amounts of time into practising.

How humble, no other artist or any person for that matter would dare share something like that purposefully
Yeah Eed sheeran was very humble and determine to be a good artist
I think it’s great and all but there is no risk in him showing this. Everybody knows he can sing like an angel now.
I’ve seen basically every artist I admire at this point on social media share art they made when they first started so it’s definitely very common to show where you started and came from especially once you’re successful, you have utterly nothing to lose by showing it
I'm reasonably certain that there is at least one other artist or person who would dare share something like that purposefully
No actually John Mayer has done a similar thing just not during a TV interview.
"hold me" 😭😭
Hi,thanks for your comment and How are you doing Fan?
@@edsheeranhd Worst scammer of all time🤣🤣🤣
@@partyhooper yeah... It just like when the fuck edsheeran whould comment on random posting about him.
yeah not enough people are talking about that part 😂😂😂😂 so wholesome. just two grown ass men comforting each other. and the way the host was like "say no more i will hold you" was adorable
@@mr.yesiam he doesn’t even own a phone anymore so he wouldn’t
Ed is absolutely adorable, just keep adoring him
The fact that he showed this audio is amazing.
The way he just showed that was a whole other level of humbleness. I gained so much respect for him for that. ❤
Hi,thanks for your comment and How are you doing Fan?
@@edsheeranhd💀
@@MrReklez bro think we gonna fall for this 💀
I see it as a selflove not humbleness (100% not saying he is not humble)
Since showing that he was like that and now he was like "THIS" is kinda a somewhat "flex"
@@edsheeranhd 🤡
I love how open he is with this, a lot of other people try and hide their "shit phase" because they think it's shameful for some reason. It's important for others to know that practice is what makes the talent so they don't get discouraged
Well, it's inspiring to show when you've reached a decent level, but it does feel shameful when you're still shit 😅
(I'm not disagreeing with your comment btw, hope it doesn't come across the wrong way)
@@faridafitrihani9963 that is true, but for people who think that they should stop just because they "aren't good" even if they enjoy it I feel like this video would help them. People stop doing stuff the love just because they think they're not good enough, it's really sad. I myself have stopped doing hobbies because of that and I'm trying to pick them up again because they were fun!
Okay now go and buy his new stuff. Hard worker.
@@mrss3058 buy his stuff????
But there is nothing that people can say about it when you are succeful afterwards. It is different when you are still SH...
there was a time in my life where i religiously listened to ed everytime id hop in a game or something lmao good times
Not a fan of his music but big fan of him. Everything I see of this guy is just a class act
"Hold me" 😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 it’s that part for me too
Hi,thanks for your comment and How are you doing Fan?
And " uh umm nope" he was so adorable 🤭✨🥰
talent is a part of it, and hard work also.
Goodness his personality is sooooo dang sweet and humble. Yaaass dude show the world its cool to be kind!!!
The “Hold me” and the other guest’s reaction after the first phrase was so funny!
It is his eye Rolling and talking the wife for me
He’s even more of a legend for this.
Idk sounds like this was when he was going through puberty with the way his voice cracks. Still say he has natural talented voice
I like this, i like this alot. Practice makes perfect
Honesty the lyrics were straight fire 🔥 👌
As a guitarist, I'm really motivated by this
😂😂😂
same😭😭
The guitar sounds okay tho, is the singing 💀
Practice everyday bro, you got this
@@AndreaFauche I was saying it motivates me as an artist bro.
I can't stop watching the part when he says "Uhm nope, no"
Me too. It was so cute 😍
That "umm nope" is so idian 😂😂
Yea he was so adorable ✨🥰🤭
Thank you. Now I know I can make it too Ed!
Hahaha I love that he just shows this, legend. Might be ashamed but he owns the growth❤ love it
This is why when I compliment people, I say "you're so skilled!" instead of "you're so talented!"
I take notes
What
Yeah, same
Still talent tho... What?
@@itsmike6757 You are born with talents, but you learn and perfect skills yourself. No one is born with skills, you have to earn them. Yes, talent helps tremendously in the process of acquiring skills, but talent and skills aren’t the same
I'm assuming he was going through puberty 😂
yeah, that‘s the number one puberty bullshit. i have enough of such recordings to kill off every upcoming optimistic musician

Such a loveable person
My wife is a jazz vocalist and I agree, talent alone won't be enough, she is putting so much hard work I can't even imagine. I'm very proud of her and how determined she is, it's aspiring me
This is actually inspiring and motivating, also the fact that he kept the recording shows that even with success he still reminds himself of where he started.
Exactly 💯
He's an honest guy. Unlike other artists saying they were good since birth. Ed is right, one has to learn and do innumerable practices.
I’ve never heard a musician say they’ve always been good at singing. But they do say it takes a lot of practice
I don't know any artist saying they were good since birth. What the fuck are you talking about? Maybe some say they knew they had a gift that they could work with, but nobody says they were born great enough to succeed at what they do.
are these other artists who say that in the room with us right now?
I dont think any artist in any medium would ever say that as they all worked their ass off for years on end to get where they are.
Its like saying "wow youre so lucky everything you got was just given to you" its an insult in a compliment coating made by ignorant people
The way they touch hands❤ beautiful
This man... this is why I really love Ed Sheeran, he knows nothing comes in life if you don't put in the work, he is real and you feel it in his music.
It's actually offensive to tell an artist they have natural talent, it implies they haven't worked hard to get to where they are today. Like it was an easier journey for them.
Lol doesnt sound offensive at all. They are so good that it seems like they are born with talent.
@@WenQixz i don't think you realize it's insulting to tell someone that they haven't worked for what they achieved
Edit: maybe "rude" is a better word than "insulting". In any case, it's not something nice to hear
I don’t think it implies that they didn’t work hard
@@caoilte8097 no, but it will come off that way if you know their back ground. Everyone has worked hard for their present in their own way. Sure some may just let it slide as obviously it isn't a crime or intentional but sometimes it comes off rudely as if one has not worked for their achievement but was borned with it. It's like with these rich kids who are spoiled thinking they are rich when it's their parents working hard to achieve the rich life.
Well I mean people are born with natural talents, you just have to practice A LOT to get better. Otherwise you just waste a cool ability
People always say I am a party pooper when they say: "They are so talented" and I say: "No, they are skilled. You are shitting on their hard work by saying it came all to them by birth"
exactly
You're not a party pooper
You're a Giga Chad
Creativity is a talent. And so is luck. You can't train that. And even if they want to deny it, successful people have talent, or they wouldn't have made it. Hard work can't carry a person all the way.

I had other views on him earlier. It changed after seeing his views on Instagram and this. He is very sincere, genuine hard working person with less of an ego than many other singers. Plus he is great at what he do.
He manages his ego so well x
