➡️ PREORDER THE BUDGET BY PAYCHECK WORKBOOK: budgetbypayche...
This will always be my payday routine. I have been taking the same steps every time I get paid for YEARS, and it's a system that gives me complete peace of mind. I know everything is taken care of and it allows me to not worry or think about my finances for the rest of the month.
I also wanted to note that it may seem like my morning routines take a long time or a lot of time. It doesn't. If I wasn't recording or explaining my steps, I only spend about five minutes a day on my finances!

Miko - It's lovely that you are able to work out that your kiddos can be with family!
Thanks Miko! I sat down last night to figure out my 2025 plan. My rent goes up in January approx $50 per month, and other than food prices, I’m pretty steady in what my bills are. My sinking funds have a new edition as my son is planning on the wedding next November. They are having a small City Hall ceremony, but I will be taking us all out for dinner. I will also contribute what I can towards a photographer, etc. Anyway, always better to plan ahead!
Thanks for these videos! I look forward to them every weekday 😊
Thank you for these daily videos, they are so useful. Watching these over the past few weeks has completely changed how I look at budgeting and money. I am looking at my finances daily and tracking spending for the first time. I feel in control and know where I am at and I think I might even make it to the end of the month without being completely skint a week before payday is due. Super-useful, thank you ❤❤
This message just made my entire day!
Thank you, Miko, for another helpful video 💚
Thanks Miko for your videos its greatly appreciated 😊 Good Luck on your Run, your going to kill it 💪
Thank you!
@thebudgetmom Your Welcome, Be Proud of yourself, you have been through alot and have accomplished so much. You are unstoppable.
Thank you x
Also I love the way you decorate your monthly spreads. Are those hand drawn or stickers? Do you use a stencil? Beautiful.
Stickers! I doodle at times too!
Awesome. I enjoyed watching. 🫶🏼🩷
Hi Miko! Thank you so much for these videos! They are super helpful and motivating to keep up to date with my budget! I look forward to these videos! When will you be doing the savings goals 2025 video? I love those and always look forward to it every year! I know that you will be very busy in the next few months because of your travel plans.
I am hoping to do this!
@@thebudgetmom Okay that sounds great! Can’t wait to see the video!
Happy Wednesday! I need to get better with getting my the new month’s calendar set up early. I wait until the last minute 🫶
Thank you for all your guidance. I have a game plan to pay off my husband's truck, my car, our home, and credit cards of a total of 125,000. I'm hoping in 3 years by September of 2027, my 55th birthday. I'm praying I reach our goal.

I’m patiently waiting for the new book. I should have ordered 2. How long do you keep your Budget Books in storage? I have the first one but I’m doing it on sheets 😂 in the meantime. I’m going to have to transfer everything from September to October to the new book
I scan my workbook pages at the end of every year to a hard drive and keep them!
When will the Savings challenge book be available to preorder?
Mid-late October
What stickers do you use? Cause I feel like I cant find decent stickers I like it they have random stuff. I just wanna be able to do it based off the month and time of year if that makes sense.
They're out of my random sticker assortment I've obtained throughout the years 🤣🤣 You can really find any sticker set on Amazon so I recommend checking out there! I get my stickers from all sorts of places - craft supply stores, Amazon, TBM stickers, etc. Happy Planner sticker books are also great because they're themed and have a very wide variety
Lol alright, thank you ma'am! I appreciate it!
Thank you. What’s the best way if your bills start going out right at the beginning of the month but you’re getting paid next week? 😊
I've always budgeted each time I'm paid and my tracking periods have always been the 1-last day of the month regardless of my paydays. I think I'm confused by your question, I'm sorry!
@@thebudgetmom Thats okay! Sorry for not being clear. So this month I budgeted for October. My first pay for this month won’t be until next week on the 8th but my bills started going out yesterday. So do I need to budget my Septembers pay for this month to cover these first bills? I think the answer if obvious but I just wanted to clarity since I’m new. Thank you 😊
@vickc4422 Yes! She has some videos going over this.
@@vickc4422 The money that's in your checking account from Septembers income is just included in your October starting balance, so you'd just track your expenses as normal!
So I am a credit card user. How do you handle transactions if they are pending at end of month and don’t post until next month? I know youcount it when it clears. But the issue is how do you keep track of the expense since you spent the money and need to make sure the amount is correct in that category so you don’t overspend.
I’m a credit card/cashless spender too. How I handle it is that if it’s a transaction that I know the amount won’t change, like a bill or in-store purchase, I’ll count it right then whether it’s cleared or not. But if it’s something that might change like a restaurant that will include a tip later, I’ll count it only when it clears. I also try and avoid going out to eat during the last few days of the month to avoid pending transactions so I can close it out easier. Hope that helps! 😊
@@lcn706Thank you. Thats helpful.
