There's actually science behind that. 😊👍 I wish I had saved the article, something about how important teaching/learning cursive handwriting is. Sure, it's convenient to just snap a picture with your phone and link it to your calendar or something like that; but you remember more when you actually write it down. Made me feel better about being a pen and paper girl! 😄
@thekingsdaughter4233 you are absolutely correct about the research! I've looked into it extensively. (I am a special education teacher and worry about my students with technology taking over.)
I LOVE LOVE LOVE your 3-bucket system. As someone who is neurodivergent, has several chronic illnesses, and is also a caregiver for an elderly mom with dementia, it's been life-changing to shift to an attitude of, "Just get these 3-5 things done." And to realize that getting one thing done is still a good day. After using both the physical and the digital versions of the planner (including using the printable planner with a PDF reader that lets you make typewritten comments), I prefer the physical versions - especially when I'm filling out the Goal Setting section at the beginning of the year. I definitely think better when I'm writing than when I'm typing! Lately, I've been using the Daily Plan Notepad that I forgot I had - it's a little easier to keep handy since it's smaller than the big planner, but it still has a good amount of space for the 3 buckets. And I can always turn it over and use the back for a brain dump (or for other notes that don't fit on the front) if I want to. But I'm also definitely looking forward to getting the new planner! 😀
I just stumbled across this video and going to try this 3 bucket system as everything else I’ve tried has failed for me. This system seems so easy and more likely to set someone up for success. Thankyou!
I prefer a physical planner. I’ve been trying to go all digital, which works great for appointments on my app calendar, but I found that I feel unorganized about other things that need to be done. I like to be able to view my planner and make adjustments anytime, without having to have a digital device with me.
Physical planner all the way. I'm not good at prioritizing tasks. I've always heard to sort them A,B,C importance, etc. That has never worked for me. The 3-bucket and HOP method makes sense to me. Can't wait to get this planner!!
Just received my new planner. It's cute, and I love the fun stickers. Hoping it helps give me the structure I need to use it successfully. I was a little disappointed that the QR code on the "Thank You" card took me to a page where the "gift" discount code was expired (August 2024). It would have come in handy for the additional sticker and meal planning kits I purchased today. I didn’t see a place at checkout for promo codes anyway though. Still looking forward to getting the most out of my new planner.
It's dark blue, actually. It says "My Trusty List of Lists." I believe it is just a blank, lined notebook, conveniently sized to not take up much space, so you can carry it with you, and you use it however it best suits you. 🙂
I would be interested in finding out what the tablet version is like. I’m 72 so I’m definitely from the paper generation. But I find tablets and cell phones are so much easier to carry around than paper products. But I have loved your planner. I used it all of 2024 and I want to buy a 2025 now. Just don’t know which version.
Absolutely! The Tablet Planner is actually the one that I use! :) You can take a peek at what each planner version has to offer right here in the 2025 GOHQ Planner Lookbook: getorganizedhq.com/94ve
I prefer a physical planner, because when I'm at work, I find it's just WAY too easy to get onto my phone "just to write this in my wish list" and I end up seeing a notification, clicking a link, going down a rabbit-hole, etc. Before I know it, I've spent 30 minutes of company time in my phone! So writing things down instead helps me make sure I don't forget it later, but also helps me stay focused on what I'm working on right now in front of me. :)
I hope you do have some sort of part of your life where you do some sort of physical writing, preferably in cursive. It activates different parts of the brain and has benefits beyond whatever you were looking to accomplish by writing something down. 😊
I’ve never researched a digital planner, but am intrigued. I use an IPad and IPhone. Are all Apple tablets and phones compatible with the digital planner? Is there a learning curve to download and figure out how to use? Any other required accessories needed? I’m not very computer savvy and wondering if I can figure out how to download it and make it useable. Thanks for anyone’s help!
Yes, we have a new GOHQ Planner every year! You can click here to get on our planner waitlist: getorganizedhq.com/hd86 and click here to see details of the planners: getorganizedhq.com/94ve
I’ve gone through that link you sent me a couple of times and I don’t see anything that shows really what the tablet form looks like. Is it exactly the same as the book?
Side note about water bills. I kid you not, where we live, water/sewer/trash/recycling are combined and this month was almost double the $65 Sept electric bill (*which was oddly low). That makes it almost triple the electric in winter. On top of one of the highest property tax counties in the US, living here is a $$$ scam. I'd put up with Mayberry any day. :)
I think by Tablet planner you mean its digital and accessed on a tablet, right? I use a PC, but would still prefer a digital version. I'm a Google user, and my pasion is banishing paper clutter from my life - so digital all the way!!
I love your shelves. Unfortunately, I found it hard to concentrate on what you were talking about. I think I probably have ADHD. I love the containers that hold your stuff like a filing cabinet. I wonder if that would work for books. Oh, I see you are showing it now. I guess I am very visual. I get it better seeing you explain it, thanks!
Proverbs 16:3 NLT ³ Commit your actions to the LORD, and your plans will succeed. When I seek God first and include Him in my day before even taking action, I have found that I want to do the tasks He has me write down and even complete them. I do not focus on 3 things each day. I make a list of 3 things I want to accomplish for the week. And, I am learning to give myself grace whenever I stumble. Honestly, I need to celebrate my wins and clap for myself more. Maybe this will be the habit I work on. 😅
I find I remember things so much better when I write something down rather than typing, so physical for me!

I started doing this a few weeks ago as saw the 3 bucket system at the HQ event. This has relieved a lot of stress. Highly recommend this system.
Yay! "Less stress, more peace" all the way! I'm so glad the 3 Bucket System has helped you!
@@GetOrganizedHQ Thankyou so much!!!😃
I like to hold things in my hands! I love planners. I have millions of them partially filled out!
Same! Lol
Same!
Me too 😅
So do I!😊
I just stumbled across this video and going to try this 3 bucket system as everything else I’ve tried has failed for me. This system seems so easy and more likely to set someone up for success. Thankyou!
Love the look and feel of a physical planner and find it satisfying to use.

I really liked this idea, I have always had such a long "to do" list for the day. I think a physical planner would be good.
I like physical or hard copy planners best. Your planner looks wonderful! So much thought put into it! Kathy
This is so true...I list 4 things every day to get done...and they usually all get done across the week!
This makes sense, so I'm not putting 300 things down for every day and not doing them!
Physical planner all the way. I'm not good at prioritizing tasks. I've always heard to sort them A,B,C importance, etc. That has never worked for me. The 3-bucket and HOP method makes sense to me. Can't wait to get this planner!!
Subscribed when you wrote down bath 🛀 ❤
I actually do the three - five items for the week - not for the day - takes a lot of pressure off me
I like digital -I use my iPhone calendar and I use my iPad. I’m trying to get rid of paper so love digital. Thank you for all your great tips.
Thank you for sharing. Definitely a physical planner.

I am old school, so I definitely prefer a physical planner. If I printed it myself I'm afraid I'd lose pages or end up with them all over!
Can you share what the title of that little black book on Lists is?😊
It's dark blue, actually. It says "My Trusty List of Lists." I believe it is just a blank, lined notebook, conveniently sized to not take up much space, so you can carry it with you, and you use it however it best suits you. 🙂

I really need a digital planner so that it is always with me. Although these are beautiful & tempting. 😊

I like digital🎉
I much prefer a physical planner!!!
I would prefer a tablet calendar IF it synced to my phone.
How do I purchase the 3 bucket planner? Is it year to year?
