Just watched it last night…what a masterpiece. Emma rules.
Thanks for uploading this video, Bella is one of my new favourite comfort characters, since I really identify with her journey. Fingers crossed that Emma Stone will win her second Oscar for her captivating performance. ❤
Lol
Glad we got a _good character_ named Bella, finally.
I am from the future. She won her 2nd Oscars!
Do you intentify with her who ring
Her acting is excellent, but the movie in general is a shame.
This is my new favorite film, because it blends all of the symbolism and metaphors, that are still present today. It's Boogie Nights set in the Victorian era.
Beautiful Ji🙏🏼💎
With the most incredible sets, clothes…gosh all the detail is amazing
Just finished watching this. It was the most beautiful depiction of trying to understand what it means to be human. Exploring the connection between the mind and body, the barriers that society sets in place and the meaning of authenticity. Truly brilliant ❤
Powerfull Always💎🙏🏼
🙏🏼✨
😊
😊
😊
Mark Ruffalo and Emma Stone's performance in this film was a treat to watch.
Sure was!!
Such An Amazing Comment ✨🙏🏼
And wilem :-)))
This was a WELL deserved oscar win for Emma! She def deserves to be in the 2+ oscar win class
Absolutely ✨🙏🏼
Amazing 🙏🏼✨
I liked poor things so much that I saw it 4 time without bored
Oh thank you for posting! I did too and my husband thinks I’m nuts lol
Bored Things
Thank you for uploading, nice edit. So happy to finally see clips of Alfie on RUclips, he is a great villain.
Willem Defoe was robbed of a nomination
Seems sadly he usually is…:-(( I think dafoe is always amazing and a real artist, who expresses mostly just joy and gratitude I’ve noticed…very positive person it seems
This is so brilliantly edited!
Beautiful👏 I love Bella
MARVELLOUS CAPTIVATING VIDEO!LOVED THE MOVIE
Visually stunning film. Lovely cast. 😊❤
I saw this in Hulu and watched the trailer. It didn't seem like something I'd enjoy, but after the awards, I had to. I'm so glad I did. It's now a favorite!!
It's definitely intense and costs millions and millions to make but it seems to be the same intensity throughout, no break.
I get what you mean, but I think this was a question the producers and director and screenwriter went thru in crafting it. Isn’t real growth intense? And till the quiet gin/backyard shot, she was growing at a substantially fast rate’ or whatever exact words dafoe said there :-)
beautiful.
Amazing movie! Well done!😃
Ugh I loooooooved Mark Ruffalo in this! Willem DaFoe was amazing as well.
I love Bella ❤
Hervorragender Film!!!Oscar!!!❤
Thank you for this wonderful clip!!
I'm glad tt its the performance n not some history making narrative tt finally wins!! ❤
The movie was interesting and thought-provoking. Emma Stone deservedly won an Oscar and it's a pity that Mark Rufallo couldn't win an Oscar ex aequo with Robert Downey Jr. Fantastic dance.
I think ruffalo should have won
So So Proud Of You All Ji Respected Cast🙏🏼✨Ji
Прекрасные актеры .и прекрасно с играна.фильм заслуживает быть в номинаций на Оскар .
Jenna Ortega must be thrilled there is new weird character dance for folks to focus on. To be fair, the Wednesday dance died out almost completely from the algorithm.
She reminds me of the game "Alice: Madness Returns"
Iconic!
this looks so interesting
where can I watch the full movie, wow Emma stone performance is amazing now I know why she won an oscar where can I watch the full movie
Amazon Prime.
It’s also on HULU. Enjoy👍
disney+
💜💙
She becomes a Lady Comstock from Bioshock Infinite.
Get it now, yup she deserved the win, wow!
Glad she's an AZ lady,
I liked the Frenchie chicken. I wonder what the eggs looked like.
She didn’t ‘ditch’ and yes, sex and the dynamics of, are hopefully, evolve over a lifetime of experiences. Her infancy lasted months. And I’d love for someone to convince me how prostitution is different than being a kept housewife with no income. Except the cleaning or cooking (but perhaps the chores are a way for ladies to perhaps rationalize ‘the gradual’ almost total disinterest in sex or even just affection with their long term partners?…is the stat 60% of all married folks divorce? and wait, is this about monetary jealousy? After her infancy and adolescence, she goes to college to be a doctor, then a surgeon and as I would expect from a strong woman she’s become and is still becoming, a leader. I believe there are ‘quite a few ‘escorts’ out there who experience that what they do for $ is not only work, but dangerous work. In fact just after her giving his money to ‘the poor’ and the realities of this, she immediately goes and makes money while he sits around whining and yelling.
This is "Barbie 2 " movie
Nah, this is _Barbie_ for the sci-fi girls.
Bella cut too....squish squish squish >
What does the priest say?
"c'est une malédiction"= It's a curse
Is this like Frankenstein/Dog’s Heart kind of story?
Imagine watching this movie and thinking Emma didn't deserve the Oscar 💀
Insane
Just been told about this. Sick. There are no words.
2:53-2:55 _Easy A_ call-backs. 😊😊
In the movie, everyone is drawn to Bella, most in the "carnal" way. Bella is really a child, so what do you think the hidden "thing" the movie is trying to say? It's different than "Cuties" but same purpose.
You misunderstood the point
No, some people sure, appreciate that, but ‘carnal’ isn’t it. The very word brings Catholicism to mind-in any case, it is her freedom, to express, be honest and open, to explore everything without the put on/learned constraints most of us feel in our own lives/selves, the conditioning…especially for women and Bella, by the end, is no child, though I think if she were real, she’d keep growing and learning…beyond what’s ‘normal or required…’
🙏🏼💎She Is Always My Favourite Will Always Be My favourite 🙏🏼💎
Looks like someone’s bad dream….
This video gives away the whole movie. Don't watch this video!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Watch the Movie first !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! 363 like .....................
You are absolutely correct. Video gives away the whole story. Glad I had already seen it.
She is like me as a high functioning autistic woman xD
It was campy and entertaining. I didn’t want to see that much of Emma’s stones and bones, but good for the people who enjoyed it. It wasn’t a brilliant piece, but it was a good piece of film.
I LOVE this movie. Have seen it twice already. Will see it again in awhile. Thank you!!!
I've also seen it twice now. It's definitely a film you have to watch more than once, because each time there is something different that you may have missed during the first viewing.
@@thewall283 absolutely. Second time I watched it. I did see things I had not the first time. 👍✌️
I was motivated to watch it a second time, after seeing a video here on RUclips about the metaphors used throughout the film. This would have been a dream come true project for Salvador Dali to work on.@@Elgor-ks9cf
A masterful and special film, but with the background of feminist thought...!
Something that is showing itself in today's world.
The leading actress (Emma Stone), for maturity and intellectual development, needed to be free enough to become a prostitute and then return to normal life like an intellectual person and continue. But her first sex partner (Mark Ruffalo), who was also involved in sex and lust, cannot return to the normal routine and goes to ruin.
In the end, she marries a man (Rami Yusuf) who has not even had sex.
what does it mean?
It means that a woman needs to experience everything in order to mature (in a more colloquial term, to enrich the world), but a good man must remain good from the beginning.
I remembered the words of Victor Hugo that should be written in gold:
Good men never get good women. Because women fall in love with bad men and hurt with good men. (I think we all can imagine the example of this sentence from the people we met in our life)
In short, you cannot deny the filmmaking art of Yorgos Lanthimos, but the seed of this bitter thought is planted in people's thinking from this film.
If you merely count the number of sex partners, you will have missed most of the riches of this film.
@@JohnnyCatFitz I don't expect you to understand what I said. good luck
i walked away from the film way more creeped out by ramy youssef's character. maybe just me but i found the fact that he knowingly was about to marry someone who was at that point intellectually a child way more disturbing than mark ruffalo's character incessantly boinking someone with the intellectual age of a child. at least he didn't know!
to me the ending reads much more as like, goodness and evil are not linear. the good decision doesn't always mean joining hands with the most virtuous partner in this case, and the bad decision doesn't always lead you to unceasing misery. it's a bit of a lark but that seemed the thrust of the movie lol, that it imagined what it would be for a woman to have it all, imperfect as it is.
you're leaving out the most important person here too i think, her prostitute lover. the scientist is more a partner in business than love. if anything the movie is saying that women can only experience true equality in love through lesbianism, which,,,,, fair.
I don’t know where morality is going with society but that this was Oscar worthy watching Porn I don’t know ! She is such a good actor why degrade yourself like that I don’t understand, sorry!
Your issue. Alert: sex is a part of our day to day lives, in oh so many ways, and truly if that’s all what one gets out of it, perhaps stick to g ratings, as this is only one way cinema is ‘progressing’ and changing…and…babies masturbate!
Actors, writers, artists create work as honestly as possible, an exploration of the world and a woman’s place in it…this is a piece of art…in every way…
UNA PELÍCULA EN LA QUE UNA MUJER SE DESTRUYE UNA Y OTRA VEZ
Poor choice of music. Down plays the movies originality. What saves this vid is the film or movie content itself. I know it feels like I'm just talking mess or being hyper critical. But even the editing is saved by the original.
Jerrod Carmichael was so horrendously bad in this. Like, REALLY bad. Great upload though.
Disgusting...
There was a religious sect in the US, the Shakers, who banned sex so as to be pure. They all died out.
movie is very sexual, drama a little strange
I loved the performance but hated the nudity in the movie. They could have avoided it. I felt uncomfortable and had to fast forward most of the scenes.
I’d ask myself just u know, why is this so uncomfortable for me?
@@Calibound8 i agree. I don't think they should complain about nudity in a movie. They should complain that natural human anatomy makes them so uncomfortable. That seems to be the biggest issue 🤔
Grow up, maybe!
So you think that being uncomfortable with graphic nudity is immature but name-calling in the comment section is no problem?
@@JenJackson-sp6vs not a single name has been called
This movie is so pretentious
That long black hair was already a very bad choice for Emma Stone
Seemingly not true at all, and her total uniqueness had to b expressed physically in all the ways they did that
what is this movie about! it looks boring as sin! I am not a fan of emma stone! i know she won a oscar but...blah!
You’re commenting on a rich, incredible film you HAVEN’T even seen?
Are you kidding , you couldn’t pay me to see this horrible movie
The film is good, everyone has their own opinion
How do you know it’s horrible..if you haven’t seen it..? That’s like someone saying to you that they couldn’t pay them to sleep with you but you could be quite good…
Everybody has a number. How much money would it take to get you to watch it?
@@tracyscott2887 Exactly. Reminds me of people who say they hate a certain type of food when they haven’t even tried it. Instead of being open to the experience, they choose to base food by how it smells - base a person by how they look on the outside - base a film by the little short clips they (don’t have to) watch on the internet, instead of the whole thing. It’s pretty sad.
Great! More for us
This is the worst movie that I've ever seen. I hate it.
Most disgusting movie of the decade🤮 ...even Haley's Monsters Ball Oscar wasnt that desperate. ...😡
Disgusting why, Emma’s performance is a masterpiece.
Art is subjective. 🤷🏽♀️ I loved it and it’s definitely on my favorites list, but I can see and understand why some like you hate it. People are always gonna be bothered by opinions, no matter what they are. That being said - Halle’s performance and Oscar acceptance speech were both *extremely* desperate lmao. In my opinion. ;) Still love her though.
Thugs ruined this movie.
This movie was absolutely horrible. No idea what the fuss was about.
Movie looks stupid
SPOILER ALERT! DON'T WATCH THIS IT GIVES EVERYTHING AWAY - SEE THE FILM ITSELF AND BE SURPRISED (no offense, Ovik6280)
Sorry bout my ‘verboseness’ 🫶🏼
Critiques of sex in this film is disturbing. Esp. Given she is in the power position why are folks so upset about it…so sad. Literally, we have no problem watching people killed, bloody, violent, and this is the norm now. Even James Bond isn’t really sexual. Our culture chooses violence over sex, and it’s so normalized now, we don’t even think about it! It’s unbalanced and sad.
I guess thats why Bella’s so violent in the beginning. Yorgos Lanthimos is critiquing our acceptance of violence and hate, while we still get so upset about our natural sexuality. Stunning film
But she's a child, right? Isn't that the issue? I'm all for women owning their sexual autonomy, but I don't really think THIS was the avenue.
@@marchingham She STARTS as a child and becomes an adult over the course of the movie. It's a coming of age story. It's also extremely metaphorical and not to be taken literally.
@@FritzTheCat_1030 yes this is true. I guess I can see both sides of the argument. However I do agree about the violence part.
That's a good point. I was laughing at the violent moments and found myself uncomfortable with the sexual ones. My reactions to these things hadn't occurred to me till I read your comment.
oh my this trailer imo has revealed far too much, ive never seen a trailer so full of spoilers -just my observation, my 🪙🪙
i think is an edit! a tribute to bella
@@sopirina Bella ! Mon amour!
