Emma has the edge for me. But uniquely , everyone will compare second to Diana.
Both women portraying Diana perfectly. Emma as the younger version feels soo innocent, pure, bubbly, driven, naive, angry and frustrated. Elizabeth as the more adult version feels more ellegant, poised, and there's bit of hopeless, more toned down because she's been though so much.

I really respect the way the show covered her death. It didn't show the crash, Charles actually telling the boys with sound or her body at any point. Very respectful.

It's a shame they didn't last, but as Diana stated in her interview, "Well, there were 3 of us in this marriage". A complete and utter shame. I agree, the woman portraying Diana did an excellent job.

I don't think Shakespeare himself could have written a more tragic love story than that of Diana and Charles. Some might argue that it wasn't love, but whether he loved her for a minute or she loved him unrequitedly, you can't deny that this was a love story. It lasted longer than it should have or it didn't last long enough, that's up to each person's interpretation.
The world should never forget Lady Diana… and we know why

This last piece of music is truly heavenly, it sounds inevitably celestial, it feels as if Diana was talking to us from where she now is, so when she appears like "tadaaa" and the music goes on with that celestial embrace... Argh, I have no words, I cried so hard. Brilliant work.

Queen of the world and Queen of Hearts. She was loved world over and was truly the true Queen for everyone. I remember when she passed away everyone was in shock and her funeral brought tears to the eyes of people all over the world. She was the most beautiful woman God has ever put on this earth with equally beautiful soul.She had a heart of gold and did so much for the people and charities with all her sincerity even for aids when everyone in the world was afraid to even go near an aids patient but she literally shook their hands and put a child on her lap and the brave walk she took for raising the awareness about landmines.
She will be missed forever. May she rest in peace. Amen

She really was the most beloved of all of them.

I believe that they did a good job trying to portray the ENTIRE story, all of the moments, all the back and forths, all the perspective and voices and I loved that it wasn’t totally polarised, this show is great at portraying that people are people, they do good and bad in life. It shows the mistakes of Diana, the way she might’ve thought, the decisions she might’ve made.
This broke my heart. And it's inexplicable how after all these years, she will never be a closed chapter. She is the People's Princess. She belongs to all of us. And it breaks my heart every time I think that she deserved so much more but she didn't have the way and time to deserve the best she could. All the love in this world. The last scenes broke me so much. Elizabeth did an amazing job remembering her. ❤
The ending scenes when she appears to Charles and the Queen were incredibly emotional. The Crown was an amazing series.

This beoke my heart. I was 6 when princess diana died. I remember watching her funeral in tv with my mom and her and i crying. People all over the world loved her. She was relatable in so many ways. She was human. People could feel her warmth and sincerity. And although you didn't know her personally, it felt like you could. This brought back those memories.

We all knew what went down in Paris, the following weeks after, QEII’s televised speech, the funeral, the extraordinary, universal outpouring of grief from people of all walks of life. It seemed like the world stood still for a moment.
The “Mummy” Letter on the casket broke my heart. I was old enough to remember the funeral televised in 1997, and the same grief & sadness just hit as hard as it did back then. The tears just streamed down.
This video is such a fine tribute to the Queen of Hearts.
We have seen so many Diana depictions on the silver screen over the years from Naomi Watts & Kristen Stewart, but gosh Elizabeth Debicki hit it out of the ball park.
Special mention to Emma Corrin for embodying that youthful zest of Diana in S4, and that Emmy was well deserved.
Looks like Debicki will win the Emmy this time around.
