I think his accent kind of worked with the movie, it was a little quirky and f'ed up but also charming 😂 and the total bizarness of his scenes just made it all work. I loved Bella for the same reasons. But mostly for her wonderful innocence and non apologetic attitude about how she thought and acted. Brilliant film. The crisp pastry scene had me rolling and her dancing with Marks character trying to make her blend in better with his dancing. Hilarious.

that "Noo" is how you would tell a child no to that question. I understand why Stone describes the movie that way but it's a baby girl in a woman's body being treated like a woman. A baby's brain in adult body like she says. She is not a Woman like Stone said but a baby girl in the body of a Woman who has not lived through the shame stage of child development. It's like a post-modern Aesop's Fable fantasy & Gothic horror fairy tale all at once that requires the viewer to distance that identity from the displays of debauchery in order to admire the deliberate designs of its satire of the sexes and social norms. I loved it because I am capable of the necessary suspension of disbelief but understand why those who did not did not.

A 'neat' contemporary-dance (perchance) 'precedent' (video-short) --- to the nifty dance floor romp (in a posh Lisbon hotel) --- would be 'To Get Her' (by 'Jukstapoz Dance Co.') from a decade-or-so back; esp. mid-way thru; w/ the (dance) lead-role nicely 'reversed' (to an extent).

Squeaky bum time has been my favorite since Sir Alex said it after a Manchester game.

No not her own. She like the men is caught in culture. Bless her that her character breaks the mold.

3:57 and the preceding clips from this area of the film - is anyone else suspecting the use of a Helios?

I don't run an ad blocker and I keep getting a notification that "Adblockers violate RUclips's Terms of Service..." I checked. THERE IS NO AdBlock. This video is not being played because of RUclips's nonsense.

I desperately need Emma and Mark to make a aughts-esque comedy in which they play uncle and niece, Emma's repressed character has just broken up with a longtime partner and has to move in with her grouchy, stoner uncle.
