High Speed Train in Minecraft

- Actually, this should be a test for Minecraft. I wanted to see how Minecraft reacts to very long objects and the game will behavior.
If I would let drive the train at the normal speed of 30 kmh for over 5000 meter, it would require 15 minutes and the video would be boring.
So I decided to make an elaborate video. I hope you like it!
Of course, the content of the video is not to take seriously. It´s a joke.

I first watched this video over two years ago, and thanks to this nostalgic masterpiece, I fully replicated the High Speed Railway (HSR) in my Minecraft world (aside with a few small differences). Feels so good to revisit this. :)

Well I found an addon only for mcpe which is called no speed limit addon. Search it up

Back in 2017, I watched this and got inspired to replicate it.
Good video! It was cool how you turned an ordinary experiment into something cool like this. Lots of people are saying it's fake. Well I guess it is for some aspects, but in other ways it's not! The people that are smart enough would know that it was sped up. I find it cool how your video is somewhat similar to a maglev train test which reached speeds over 500 kmph!

486 km/h? Back to 2010, Chinese high speed EMU CRH380AL was also recorded with that speed. I am happy that If you copy of CRH380AL. Thats lets more people known about Chinese High Speed train CRH. As an Chinese I am very proud

The speed was actually 486km/h not 485.76 but was VERY close! That was a lot of effort!

You have copy the speed test of the TGV in France.
Three little differents:
- The TGV reach the highspeed of 574.8
- It is Virtual
And - It takes longer to reach that speed

I made like this using a powered rail too!
My top speed was 720kph because of 700 km railway and it takes the longest route in just 10 minutes!

You can do this using the Train Cars plugin
It seems that your speedometer needs adjusting, unless the distance between catenary masts changes between the station and the high speed track. Coming into the station, I counted 15 blocks (i.e.) meters from one mast to the next. Starting at 3:04, on the first mast you pass when the "480 Kmh" comes up, you take exactly 60 frames, i.e. 2 seconds, to pass the next 13 masts.
13 masts × 15 meters ÷ 2 seconds = 97.5 m/s, which is the same as (multiplied by 3.6) 351 km/h. Throw in 5 meters of tolerance on each end and it's 351±9 km/h, meaning it's up to 360 km/h, which I'm pretty sure is not the same as 480+ km/h.
The video description did say that the video wasn’t to be taken seriously, but fair play in calculating the speed I guess.
Use the Eurostar-like high speed electric train from the TrainCraft mod and it'll be complete!
