Which is better? Armani Code or Armani Code Profumo? EDT vs EDP?
Code proved very popular upon it's release in 2004 and spawned the flanker Code Profumo. Is one better than the other and is it worth owning both Code and Code Profumo?

Just picked up some Code Profumo and it was love at first spray!!
Got a sample of Profumo when I first got into frags. Now it's one of my staples and gets me in a great mood everytime I spray it. I finally tried the Code edt and it was pleasant but nowhere near the performance of Profumo.
It’s always going to be down to personal preference but I certainly prefer the Profumo. I believe that the original Code is smoother and more subtle but the Profumo flanker is VERY strong and long lasting. DO NOT overspray the Profumo as you will only give yourself a headache and possibly annoy those around you!
Tried the profumo for the first time, but went and bought a new bottle of regular Code anyway. I do like the fact that the profumo has a bit heavier presence, but I prefer the less fruity/warm smell of the regular Code.
I'm a big fan of Code Profumo. One of my easy reaches, love the performance as well.

Hello. Great review. Your videos are full of good taste and content. In my experience, Code was my signature fragrance for years when just came out but after years it was so popular and cloned by copies that I got bored about it beside its performance was never right. For another hand, Code Profumo is a modern version of the original but on steroids, the only thing I don't like much it is its opening but I like its drydown because is sexy, almost unisex but that's the now days tendency that everybody like.

I got both on blind buys. Love the original. Profumo is ok but there is a sort of peppermint smell that i dont like. I was hoping it was like original code but just stronger smell bubble/trail and longer lasting but its a completely different smell. Now im scared to try acqua di gio profumo
Armani Code, which was originally named Black Code, is my favorite from the line. It was my club go to scent. Nothing will beat Black Code.

I find that the opening in the original Code is far more unrepresentative of the drydown than in Profumo. It starts off very fresh and generic, but eventually morphs into a dry and pseudo-leathery star anise on my skin. Whereas in Profumo, the tonka and amber I get in the beginning tends to stay with the fragrance for the entire duration. Personally, I much prefer the sweetness and dense "root beer" type aroma of Profumo, which is why I chose it over Code, Stronger With You and even 1 Million Prive. A solid scent IMO.

I accidentally ordered profumo when I meant to order absolu. I’ve never smelt absolu but I can say that I literally can’t stop smelling the profumo. I recently ran out of my bottle of givenchy play intense and they are oddly very similar. I’m so happy now It definitely was a good accident. Glad I didn’t send it back. It’s a absolute beast too, it last prominently 1-2 hours and then has a nice dry down that last what seems like forever. I can even smell it after a shower.
Profumo. Everything I disliked in Code is gone and everything I loved is there plus added stuff I love. So I got a big 200ml bottle.

I always get the biggest bottle. And a backup one the same size. With reforms you never know so better be safe. I am trying to have 300ml-400ml of each frag I own because I get only those I fall in love. My collection is 20 or so frags but those are the champions. And I do not need any more. If a new release comes along that will wow me so much, they yeah.

I have both. Both are sophisticated and favorite among ladies and a compliment getter for me. The Code was actually known as Black Code, that was a beast, exemplary performance in terms of longevity. The Code is way watered down and some of the Black Code DNA has gone missing. People who have used Black Code will definitely agree with me. Code Profumo is darker and deeper brother of The Code, more sweeter..more of a night time elegant perfume. Love both.
Thats what I thought..black code was the one I had. And was wondering what the difference was
Haven't sniff the original, but Code Profumo is downright headache inducing for me due to its cloying sensation I got. I have to layer it with another perfume that is darker or more citrusy to calm the beast.
Yeh I could see that it could be like that for some. It does have quite a strong sweet opening. Fortunately for me it settles down pretty quickly!

Armani code edt is the better fragrance. It's a masterpiece .The note's work together beautifully. It was never a strong performer or projector , so I doubt it's been reformulated.

Armani profumo is too expensive , I've got a clone called chatler armand luxury proof that does the same job for £10. The fragrance oil's in profumo probably only cost around £3.

Do u think it works for a 22 year old guy who goes to college? Or bit offensive?
Performance on code EDT is shocking, such a shame as it's beautiful. Considering the Profumo for my next purchase. Which in your opinion has better performance out of AC Profumo or Versace Eros, based on current formulations? I appreciate they're totally different scents, just after performance comparisons. Yet to thoroughly test either, Cheers.
Profumo performance is excellent. Unfortunately I don't currently own Eros so I can't make a direct comparison!

Has It been reformulated? Just picked up a bottle and I'm not getting more than 2-3 hours, becomes close to the skin real quick..I purchased my bottle from fragrance.net, batch code shows 2020
Got the same problem with batch 2017
But the first bottle i own was mind blowing,totally different projection than that i have now from 2017 😢
Do you find the profumo analogous to 1 million or spice bomb like I'm reading,or is it distinguishing?
J Gambler it’s sweet like those and you can tell it’s one of those tonka bomb clubbing fragrances, but it’s certainly different and stands apart from those two.

Good choice for comparison. I am still a huge fan of Armani Code from 2004 but the scent is literally destroyed with reformulations, at least to my nose. I own Profumo just beacuse in the drydown, about 30-40 minutes after you spray, it strongly reminds me of original and that well known scent DNA to my nose. :-) In the opening it is totally different scent. Nice channel mate and good content. ;-)

Now A-code, and because of its notes I should enjoy, but dear Lord is it dreadful?? smells like the Tom cats have been spraying around the bins, just bloody awful. Now I must say the Profumo is better, well a lot better actually but, I still wouldn't buy it. I hope you don't go around wearing that A-code? You'll smell like an old Tom. ;-)
Dylan that's funny! I love how we all attach different imagery to how scents play off our skin. I'm pleased to say I don't get Tom Cat piss when I sniff code 😂. Profumo still the best though 👍
