Building as you go is one of the ways that prevents me from overthinking/stalemating a project. Just start with the basic build in my head and it always turns out. Nicely done.

Same. I'm here looking around to over analyzing an anwing rebuild after a hurricane. It would have survived just fine if a large live oak branch didn't mess it up, but I still feel as though I might as well just rebuild it better than it was.

The "building as you go" method is 100% my MO. I am glad there are others out there that are very successful doing projects that way. Too much planning on my part can stall projects or even keep them from happening. I will admit that RUclips has inspired me and provided many great ideas for some of my projects. For example, my 2x72 inch belt grinder build, a metal melting foundry build, and my current project, a wood fired pizza oven.
    Thanks Jimbo!

Great Job, but two things to consider: 1. trusses are too much, you could have put only one in every 8 feet and fill the rest with wood. This would have made your job much cheaper and much easier. (Not as good looking as this though) 2. Are all the rain going to neighbor's property? What do they say about it?

Lol. That usually happens to me when I'm far into a project and a mistake happens . Then in order to save what I've done a reeeaaalllly over complicate the project .... I salvage it, but boy is it a pain in the rear end 😂😂
Only concerns I c r wind uplift and "wind tunneling" through there . Maybe a door or something to minimize?

Looks awesome. Good shout on filling in the wall. Some corrugated plastic sheets would help get some light in, but if you're getting some lamps in anyway, why would you.
Did you seal the overlaps? I've worked of a few corrugated projects and if you don't seal the overlap moss get's under it and is a pain in arse to get out.

Great little video!...just what I was looking for. I'm building something similar, instead of metal roofing I'm using tinted polycarbonate double wall panels. They weigh Less than the metal roofing. I'm spanning 14ft. With the price of steel skyrocketing, I need the most efficient size "rafter"...do ya think 2" x 2" x 16 Gauge (Grade A500) will do the trick? Thanks! (great looking shop!!)

I'd be worried about rodents or birds nesting on top of this under your shops eaves. I would have stopped the metal roofing at the fascia board , that would also help a lot with ventilation.
