His confidence and seriousness definitely saved him. From what I’ve lived, “street people” like these will respect you if you show you are brave, but respectful aswell. If you follow their rules and guidelines, they will respect you. If he had showed he was nervous (which he was) the whole trip could’ve gone very, very differently.

Yeah man. All of the stuff he’s done. All of the stuff he’s seen. The constant threat of death. The constant use of drugs as a coping mechanism. Definitely another plain of existence. Think of war vets and the place they have to go mentally in order to survive and make it home. Same concept here. Only the war he’s in the middle of; there’s no going home from it. He’s gonna spend his whole life in it.

To some degree yes, for example: when you are a child you see your mom or dad as very happy people that can fix all problems, to you they are like superheroes, but in reality your parents are just like any other person, they have fears, they struggle with bills and sometimes they have no idea what to do but they need to show you a happy face because you are a child. In this example the child exists in a different plain of reality than the parent. so In the same way this hitman has experience a side of life most "normal" people never get to see or feel, so in the same way the parents were dealing with bills and anxiety this hitman must be dealing with something out of the experiences he has that I my self dont have. Life is the one warranty for death, and when this hitman sees it a lot it must do something to him that shapes the way he observes the world. In life it is pretty normal for living beings to die at any moment, yet for me, death is not normal, it is something i am not surrounded by, yet.

I'm Mexican and because of the body language of the guy and the way he expressed himself I can tell that everything was cool. Arab was really confident and chill and because of that the sicario was the same. In Mexico is not offensive to be touchy with someone you feel comfortable with, the guy was very humble also so he was not going to be offended by that. I think that Arab is really good at identifying those nonverbal cues and he knows exactly where the limits are. He was probably safer inside that room with the sicario than in the roads

Just came back from Mexico, went with my parents and wife for vacation. My parents own a house near the ocean. Had a great time 😊 just don't go looking for trouble and you SHOULD be just fine. And remember, cartel LITERALLY OWN EVERYTHING.

SO, after watching all 3 of your videos I can say you are legit lucky to be home alive.
People in Mexico don't drive their cars across country like we do in US so they do not know a water pump is out until they are half way up the mountain from the coast on their way back to Mexico City (My mechanic shop was at the first stop light on the way up that mountain and we would sit there every day and push cars into our shop to replace a thermostat, water pump, or even replace a head gasket if they were lucky).

Just started watching love the videos I'm Mexican American, bilingual and lived in Mexico for a couple of years when I was a kid, so just the perspectives of everything is cool to see and what I know about cartel stuff, enjoying watching
Of all the places you've been, even in Africa & the Middle East, this was hands-down the most smirkish series you've ever put out. The danger was so palpable, at times you could feel the tension through the screen even as you were cracking jokes. Keeping your cool is so important, but there are a thousand ways things could've gone sideways here.

It is wise to know about the world you live in and be able to stomach some of the more gruesome aspects of this life. While yes some real sickos dwell in the macabre and will watch some things over and over again to fulfill some sick desire.
Me, like I said it is purely educational. If you work around dangerous machines and other types of work it is good to know how and what will take you out.
