Great demonstration as to the importance of every member of this band. 4 people who equally made Zeppelin and why they couldn't keep going when Bonzo passed. Great work George!
george Im curious how you got into zeppelin since you're mainly a jazz drummer. Did you discover zeppelin/bonham after being a jazz drummer or were you always a hardcore fan? thanks. great cover.
I've been listening and playing them for over 30 years! But I still have to refresh my memory before I record a video, usually. Some less so or not at all.
George what years and what songs do you use for the cymbal selection? 602 vs. Giant Beat studio versions mainly Zep II to Houses album. I'm curious of the difference
@@matebibilashvili5053 Do you mean the lick that he plays before the guitar comes in, that is part of the song? Or the little warm up he played before they get started?
Not sure what you mean. Do you mean just for this video? Because this is recorded with only the camera mic, which isn't as full sounding as the multi track recording I normally do.

Cheers, thanks!
I can still hear the music in my head.

Nice George thankyou
cymbals sound amazing! Are those vintage? Zildjian?
Thanks , they are the same type Bonzo used on the recording. Paiste Giant Beat, late 60's.
How do you remember all the intricate fills etc for these zep songs? Seems overwhelming.

Two things. Have you or bonzoleum ever done a B8 cymbal care video? Also can I have your ride cymbal?
Edit: I would also like that snare lol
Ha! The answers are...
No I haven't made a B8 care video, not sure about Terry.
No , and No to cymbal and snare.....but , thanks !!😆

What model and year is your drum kit exactly?
Sounds amazing
Thanks. 1971 Ludwig Thermogloss Maple. 3 ply with rings. 1968 Supraphonic snare.
Good job Rim shots when popping the snare would sound so much better

George I dont know if it is the recording or your drums! Your chops are solid but the drums dont do your chops justice!

Ok it’s just the cam mike! It’s not picking up the depth of the sound!
@@brianslicanderson3240 Yes, check the description, I explained it there!! 😉
