    Hey, this seems to have helped for the moment as of thsi comment being posted. I noticed something on your end though that may have cause issues also, i see your ram is registering at 2133mhz, and i highly doubt you're using ancient ram and you probably have 3200 or 3600mhz ram sticks. I wont explain how to adjust your ram as if you can do all this, im sure thats an easy enough task. I had this issue before where my ram was not reading its speed, turned out i had a faulty ram stick and had to purchase newer ones, but as you ve said you ran memory diagnostics as i have so maybe it jsut needs to be set to the xmp or docp profile in your bios. Cheers!

    Had this for pretty much as long as i got the pc (i got it early may this year), and the thing is, the eventlog 6008 error appears before 3 others each time, what proceeds is volmgr 161, kernel-power 41 and then bugcheck 1001 (iirc, instead of that, the fourth one is now WER-SystemErrorReporting 1001, possibly always preceeded by 2 instances of Service Control Manager 7000)

    I have random reboots, event ID 56. I have verified that it is not something physical. Memtest, temperatures, BIOS version, drivers updated, windows update up to date. I've done scannow, looked at the system log, everything. I will try your option, although something inside me tells me that it will not solve it either. Haven't you had problems again in these two years?

    • @JohnDaniels

      My computer's running perfectly now I've done so many things. The last thing I had done is permanently disabled Windows defender, and Windows search I haven't had any more crashes for a long time now.
      I mean one thing you could try if you had the time and another hard drive is to shut down the computer pull out your hard drive put another hard drive in and then reinstall windows and start testing for a while and if everything runs perfectly smooth then you know something in the operating system was the problem or a program or something I mean kind of like the process of elimination because if you feel like it's not a hardware issue so if you put a clean windows on there then you could at least narrow that down.

    Hi! Thank you so much for this video. I do not get the blue screen, what happens with my pc is that when its been idle, or in the middle of me using it, it randomly freezes. I have to do a power off via pushing the button. It is happening daily or now even multiple times a day. After I booted up my pc, I would check the event log and see that its the 6008. I remembered opening another few browser windows before the freezing happened. I then bookmarked all the browser tabs and then closed and then reopened chrome and have not had anymore freezing. I really think it may have something to do with Chrome and multiple browser tabs being open, I know that sounds strange but it seem like what is happening. My pc randomly crashes and then restarts, I did all kinds of stress tests and it always crashes and restarts when im in Chrome, i can render videos/play games non stop for hours and not have a single little freeze or slowdown. Weird and un-explainable. I don't have any blue-screens whatsoever, just a 6008 in the event viewer. I've also tested all my SSDs, nvme, hdd, all in perfect condition, error free, ram and cpu are tested as well in most hardcore stress tests available. What im trying to fix this issue is: ive removed all my extensions and only left adblocker, which i changed to another one and disabled hardware acceleration. Whats weird that it crashes randomly, sometimes i might have 0 issues for weeks and like today it crashed 3 times...

    What clued you in to it being the swap file? Is it still fixed for you? A lot of Ryzen 5000 series owners are getting the same error including myself. Only happens at idle, chrome is often in the background, no BSOD just either power cut and restart, or restart with no post and need to power drain. I'm not used to not getting some kind of dump file. Possibly different to your cause.

    • @JohnDaniels
      @JohnDaniels  3 года назад +1

      Thank you for the detailed comment. This problem is so intermittent I think having the large swap file has masked the issue but I really think the issue is with chrome. I can't believe it myself but I think having too many tabs open is somehow triggering a crash. There may be some setting in Chrome that can help this I have tried turning off hardware acceleration but it still has happened and I've always noticed it's when I have too many tabs open in Chrome I don't know if the tabs are conflicting with each other somehow but if I have too many tabs open this will happen. But I really think it's something to do with one particular tab or one particular website that's causing the crash. Because I could have 100 tabs open and it would be fine but if I get one particular website on a tab it will cause all the other ones to crash and it causes the whole computer to freeze. Maybe you can confirm this I swear that's what seems like the problem I guess the one way you can confirm if it's Chrome is just don't use Chrome and switch the edge for a few weeks you don't get any crashes then you definitely know it was Chrome.

      @@JohnDaniels Everyone at work has been talking about Chrome memory leaks for years, hard to know if it's Chrome though or the apps using it. Also Edge uses Chromium, Firefox might be the better test although I'll probably try Edge next. I'm having trouble reproducing it after the latest BIOS update and Windows patch but if I work out it's Chrome I'll let you know.
      Just curious what is your hardware specs, particularly SSD model and CPU model and do you use Dual monitors?
      There was a dual monitor stuttering bug in Windows from a patch last year, someone else was getting stuttering as well as crashing like us, he fixed it by reducing monitors to 60hz.
      Too many things it can be and every BIOS update or Windows patch has made it occur less and less or maybe I just haven't worked out what piece of software causes it. I think often I've had a bunch of youtube tabs open and left a vid paused halfway through.
