Hi, After spending 9 hours yesterday trying to get to know the Skew and Detail gauge I am in disbelief of how your skew finish is, perfect. Mine was that good lol I wish. When my wife saw my end results her exact words ... 'Ahhh hmmm lumps', it was supposed to be a Snow man! But I've only been turning a week, so I'll keep watching RUclips to see how it should look! This is the best video that I have seen for turning egg shapes. Your skew chisel turning is fantastic and the shape of the egg is very realistic.

My chuck is old Record Power RP4000, but Vicmarc VM100 Chuck is similar with it.

What lathe tool do you use
Crown Tools 10mm Pro-PM spindle gouge. Robert Sorby 13mm oval skew and 3mm standart parting tool.
what wood are you using
It is spruce.
