    This is the best video that I have seen for turning egg shapes. Your skew chisel turning is fantastic and the shape of the egg is very realistic.

    From a new turner, that's great touch. You make it look easy, and it's not.

    Hi, After spending 9 hours yesterday trying to get to know the Skew and Detail gauge I am in disbelief of how your skew finish is, perfect. Mine was that good lol I wish. When my wife saw my end results her exact words ... 'Ahhh hmmm lumps', it was supposed to be a Snow man! But I've only been turning a week, so I'll keep watching RUclips to see how it should look! Thanks for sharing.
    Cheers

    Awesome work on the eggs. I can see how it would be good for practicing your skills. Wood eggs make nice gifts as well. Great job.

    I haven't had great luck at making eggs. I've turned a couple that have come out pretty well. I'll have to call you the egg God. After watching this I think i'll be able to do a little better. New subscriber to you.Leonard

    May I please ask what chuck are you using. It is obviously very capable of holding the workpiece securely. Thanks.

    • @MambaWood
      @MambaWood  2 года назад

      My chuck is old Record Power RP4000, but Vicmarc VM100 Chuck is similar with it.

      Believe me it is magic but, at the same time it could just fly of at any time hit the lathe bed and be ruined.
