Please, Eath Touch, don't overuse cinematic effects in nature shows... please! This is not a crime show, not a sci fi movie or whatever... stop using soundeffects and other effects normally used for that kind of projects...
The footage you show is awesome, but because of editing like this you give these wonderful creatures an image they do not deserve... They are not bloodthursty monsters trying to kill people with some kind of evil powers.. no... they are just spiders doing their awesome things.. nothing more, nothing less..
    thanks!

Sorry to say, but I have to completely disagree with Seifenschaum There are hundreds, if not thousands of LAME, BORING docs on youtube that one can find and watch (why you would, only god knows). This was so gripping. The special effects made it more story-like and kept me entertained for longer. +1 Earth Touch!

      Earth Touch
This is the first video you've posted that I've given a thumbs down. This was too much like the horrible programming on Discovery. The tone and style of this video paints the spiders as evil when all they're doing is being spiders.

Sarkazmo Loafy The series is called "Microfreaks," the trailer has a Halloween vibe to it, and you're acting as if they didn't make it as advertised?
Kind of glad that you're only one of the, lets see, 3 dislikes on this vid. I personally approve of it. At least they're giving us what they had advertised.

My comments, of which you've now replied to two of, are directed at Earth Touch. I gave them my honest feedback. I don't care if you dislike my comments and I don't care if you like these abysmal, drama laced, fear mongering videos. Up until this series Earth Touch has produced and put forth informative videos about the natural world. This series of videos is shlock intended to appeal the lowest common denominator just like the crap on Discovery. Lean on science and information, high on drama and bullshit. The only reason I initially watched these videos was that it was something that Earth Touch put up and I've really enjoyed all of Earth Touch's videos up to that point. The reason that I've kept watching is with the hope that they would get better. They've not.

like a commenter said right before me, these spiders are not blood thirsty organisms. Theyre actually quite gentle. Their long legs and massive bodies make it difficult for them to maneuver on solid ground without toppling over. You can handle them easily because theyre more preoccupied with finding their balance and exploring your hands (assuming you pick them up) than they are concerned with biting you. These spiders are gentle and prefer to hang out all day on their webs (which they are adapted to maneuvering about) waiting for their prey to come to them, not the other way around. I used to have one as a pet, i could easily coarse her off of her web and onto my hand and she would curiously walk over my arm. She was only ever aggressive WHILE on her web cause she thought my hand was prey.

Yeah orb weavers are great. They make good pets. They very seldom ever bite a person, they have to be provoked. Even if they do bite it's like a bee sting. You can handle these guys all day and not worry. They are great to have in your yard too. They are literally nature's pest control.

This series isn't totally wrong. Orb weavers are indeed very dangerous and very deadly predators... If you're a flying animal no bigger than twice its size. Same for the absolute majority of animals this show portrays. Most of them should only be actively feared by its respective prey, but humans just need to respect them and understand most don't like being handled or squished (except maybe the Scolopendra genus centipedes, those guys seem naturally easy to irritate for some reason).

I feel so bad for those spiders..
Taken by scientists and nailed down to a table.. (not like nailed down like Jesus)
And made it sleep because of carbon dioxide gas!
And they stretch their silk from their spinnerets which might have hurt.
    Gosh!

Nah dog, they're awake when the silk is extracted. And obviously I can't know if it hurt, but since they do it daily I can't imagine it hurts that bad.

foolish text, ridiculously overdramatic narration, & stupid sound effects; after putting all this work into the video it comes off as a bad advertisement for a halloween haunted house.

I really don't like how americans do reality, nature, history or some other forms of TV. Please stop trying to spice everything up, it ruins the point of it.

By the way....there is no known artifact on earth older than 5,000 Years Old, so when you listen to the "165,...million years", keep that fact in mind.

Uh, what? Are you one of those people who believe life started five to six thousand years ago? There are plenty of artifacts older than 5,000 years.

Start adding numbers, and you'll find 'God' in the numbers. Einstein knew something you don't know. Study astrology, and you'll see 'God' in the 'timing' of the movement of the planets. Study the passing of time, and you will see what is NOT TRUTH in the archeological 'findings' about the age of an artifact.

Open wikipedia, type in "Barnenez", look for the age, feel the enlightenment ;)
btw: just because human made artifacts are not as old as different kinds of animals, it does not mean the earth is just some 5000-6000 years old... The humans theirself are quite young compared to animals like the Nautilus... So obviously they could not have built structures millions of years ago because they just were not "envolved" yet...

    • @LeeSKennedy
      @LeeSKennedy 10 лет назад +1

Precisely what I've been saying. None of that 'aging' the 'neolithic' has ANY equally aged artifacts to back the 'aging' of the monument they are describing. Therefore, it's all a lot of 'the professor says this the professor says that' but with NO artifacts older than 5,000 Years Old. So, anything dated BC is just a lot of bunk!
Feel the enlightenment? Where did you learn to be enlightened? Before Christ?

so insects are inside out of animals since their bones are their skin. so if human were insect, then our bones, hair and nails, teeth would be fine, but the rest would become liquid, I guess spider would have hard time eating insect size human.
