This is my setup, RRC oil pump, refreshed timing components, Z3 errthing else on a k24a2 plopped into my FA5 for a 8.2k redline all day. It's an absolute blast.
J-series! Cheaper, more plentiful, has torque, and power on the table for a turbo. That and they all seem to outlast the auto transmissions most of em came with! I use j-series trans, but many go j2k. K20C is a close second, but less common.
K24 trumps the K20R in terms of dollar per hp (except for the transmission), the challenge would be the rod-stroke ratio and cast pistons when road racing.
@@joeymcquilkin3670 those rype of mod usually end you up with a fully built engine. I think most people do cams, valve spring and such. Those mod you need to take to engine tuner machine to have it fit and bore etc.
@@joeymcquilkin3670 The K24 can easily produce close to 230 whp and 190wtq stock just with tuning the ecu which is very good. However, if you're going to road race the engine and let it run ABOVE 7200 rpm for a prolonged duration , the cast pistons will be the weakest link in system. Try looking up piston speed and rod stroke ratio and the effect these have on engine longevity.

I have a 07 civic si fg2 coupe with a jdm k24a swoped in it and love it. The jdm k24a has great bottom end and screams to 8k all day. I'd love to get some help with some problems I have rite now and wish I could talk with you guys more about it one day.
This probably a stupid question, but why does Honda need to flash the ECU and MICU? Is it because you swapped the ECU with a different VIN? If you dont swap the ECU does it still need to be flashed?

What header y’all recommend for a K24 swapped EK coupe? Bought a 1320 knock off to complete my swap and it rubs against the EG subframe and hella annoying. Any help would be appreciated

Just got a k24a3. Same at k24a and k24a2 except it comes with oil cooler
K20/23/24 is so flexible. Subtle difference in engine specs yield so many ways to build. That being said is cost per hp and the market support for it.

Honda Tuning Suite Canbus is able to disable immobilzer for swap applications on canbus ecus, no need for dealership visit.
