Thank you so much for this video, I will be heading there alone this year and I need to make that same trip from the airport to my airbnb. This looks a lot trickier than what I thought 😭just so much walking and I’m kind scared as a black woman. But your message at the end is encouraging.
Glad to be of service! It's a fun route, but, if I had it to do again - and was advising someone else, I'd take a taxi (red government certified one) to the first bus stop instead of walking all the way from the terminal, out of the airport entrance road and walking around aimlessly to the bus stop.😀 You'll be fine. In my experience, it's all safer than navigating bus routes in the US.
Thanks for this Jason. I am trying to plan the Liberia (centro)>Canas>Tilaran>La Fortuna bus route and I have a couple of questions for you. I emailed the address in your "about" profile and would REALLY appreciate your response. 🙂🙏
Sure thing. As it turned out, I arrived in Tilaran long after the last bus to La Fortuna had left, so I took a taxi. While very briefly, the Tilaran to La Fortuna bus schedule shows up in this video at the 4:57-4:58 interval and is behind this link - www.fortunawelcome.com/la-fortuna-buses/. You can see the last one leaves midday. Hope this is helpful and Pura Vida!
@@jasonsadventuresconversations thanks for the tips. I made the trip no problem. As of 03/2023, the bus from Tilaran>La Fortuna runs at 7-ish AM, 12-ish PM, and 3-ish PM (Mon-Sat) and just 7 AM and 12 PM on Sundays. Total cost was under $12 US. 🙂

Thank you!!!!!!!! this helped so much
So glad!
I found what I was looking for ... thanks but how long did it take and what time did you leave liberia. ?
Cool. Around 6 hours from walking out of the airport, which includes time getting lost.
