Great method. The only problem is Emily may not remember everything the teacher says, and the teacher may go so fast that not every topic mentioned has time to resonate with her.
You see, Zach doesnt finish the notes, Emily doesn't start them. You can rewrite the notes in your own words later, if you think during class you will miss something.
My teacher discourage taking notes during class for this reason. And somehow, all the things he teaches sticks in my head like a glue. Best teacher I ever had. Thanks Mr. Baxter! (p.s. he's super old and have great sense of humor)
Theres actually a lot of truth in this… I do start taking notes almost immediately since I don’t want the slide to change before I finish or hold up the entire class- but I do read through the slide first and then shorten the slide to just include the main points and put anything else in my own words- I also put any super important concepts in a colored pen so that its easier to find and review while studying. Plus switching the pen makes me more conscious of what exactly Im writing. Lastly I add stuff to my notes as my teacher talks, since they often do a better job of explaining the topic in detail rather than the actual slide. Ive never been a very organized person so doing this seriously helped me improve as a student. It might seem like a pain in the ass (which it absolutely is) but believe me it’s worth it, especially if you’re going to have to take the ACT or another college test
As a straight A student I write down all of the slide (or at least the important points) and then in margin I write what it means in my own words. I also color code with pens and highlighters. Ultimately some methods are more conductive but at the end of the day it depends on the person and how they learn.
I start taking notes immediately. I comprehend the lesson whilst taking said notes. In my head, of course. It's much easier to summarize in your head as you don't even need to use words.
I had a high school physics teacher that forced us all to take notes, and the grade was heavily influenced by how good your notes were. I didn’t learn a single thing about physics in that class.
What I do is listen then go back and read the chapter through a couple times before an exam. I usually get between 85 to 90%. The questions I get wrong are usually because I'm going to fast because it's so exciting to finish an exam before everyone else. Always go slow and read the question and all the answers
Same. Although I usually take my notes very carelessly so they end up being not useful at all lol Thank god I can basically remeber the whole subject just by looking at a friend's note
Same there's detail you miss if you don't write everything sometime since they slip in those surprises questions that are throwaway but have importance.
It might be better to do a mix of the two, do Zack’s thing at first then summarize it from memory and those notes to make sure you actually got it all down
This doesn't work when the teacher pulls up the next slide and starts talking about it immediately lol
Totally fair. In that case, no need to wait for your teacher to finish talking, but I'd still try to take notes in your own words!

Nope, because every teacher will tell you, "There's a reason you have a notebook."
One of my classmate did that and the lecturer are very chill about it
Nope when you pull out your phone, the teacher has a fast reaction time, they will just grabs it immediately.

this doesn't work when there is a quiz after the slides
Not me forgetting what the teacher wrote on the last slide, this wouldn’t work with my bad memory and slow writing 😂

@@thatcakecakecakecakeboii2505 Bruh? Hes just saying that the Teacher will probably go to fast for that method to work, thus making you fall behind on the slides. No need to say we 'slandering the girl' like an idiot
Emily got the highest score because she can understand her own words
Great method. The only problem is Emily may not remember everything the teacher says, and the teacher may go so fast that not every topic mentioned has time to resonate with her.
Exactly bro
Maybe try to write in ur own words as u go
You see, Zach doesnt finish the notes, Emily doesn't start them. You can rewrite the notes in your own words later, if you think during class you will miss something.
If you try to write down everything you will probably miss some of the lecture which is usually more important than the slides.
me who does the same as Emily but gets a lower grade: 👁👄👁
My low ass memory would forget everything and ask questions that were already answered
I don't need to paraphrase anything because all the notes we get are already amazing
my dude gave poor Zack a literal 13 😂😂
of course you copied the most liked comment and ur gonna get more likes than them
@@donut_driver bro this is an original idea and the comment is way more different and why are you even complaining everyone copies nowdays anyways
Here before this blows up.
If he mugged up everything and took notes as the teacher explained he should at least pass because no way he Gets less than passing marks

My teacher discourage taking notes during class for this reason. And somehow, all the things he teaches sticks in my head like a glue. Best teacher I ever had. Thanks Mr. Baxter!

Try that at university 🫠
bros in 6th grade
@Justin 🤦♂️ nah 4th
Its all fun n games until you leave middleschool
You don’t study for tests?
when your teachers quiz you on exact details directly from the notes 🥰
Then it's gonna be:
Emily: %72
Zach: %98
emily cause shes a woman and woman are smarter than us mans😍😍❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥❤️🔥😒😒🥰🥰💔💔💔😱😢😢🙏🙏😭😭

Nice

Good job being an A student
(Also thanks for the advice)
I start taking notes immediately. I comprehend the lesson whilst taking said notes. In my head, of course. It's much easier to summarize in your head as you don't even need to use words.
I had a high school physics teacher that forced us all to take notes, and the grade was heavily influenced by how good your notes were. I didn’t learn a single thing about physics in that class.
I think Emily would get the higher grade but I don’t think Zach isn’t getting a 13 💀💀
What I do is listen then go back and read the chapter through a couple times before an exam. I usually get between 85 to 90%. The questions I get wrong are usually because I'm going to fast because it's so exciting to finish an exam before everyone else. Always go slow and read the question and all the answers
i'm a fan of zach, I get around 95 in maths and 85 in literature related subjects
@@staybased9320 zack*
97 plus 13 is 100😅😅🎉🎉🎉
@@yourfav.karennnnits 110...
It actually helps me to listen while copying the exact notes. And have high grades. That's the way of my learning.
Same. Although I usually take my notes very carelessly so they end up being not useful at all lol
Thank god I can basically remeber the whole subject just by looking at a friend's note
Same there's detail you miss if you don't write everything sometime since they slip in those surprises questions that are throwaway but have importance.
I just don't copy anything, note the main points and read the slides by myself, because my professors usually upload the slides for us to download.
It might be better to do a mix of the two, do Zack’s thing at first then summarize it from memory and those notes to make sure you actually got it all down
Teacher boutta go GODSPEED every time man..
