Fun fact: Elise Neal, who played Kathryn Munson, became the 3rd actor after Liev Schreiber (Sabretooth) & Anna Paquin (Rogue) to appear in an X-Men film as well as a Scream film. Elise played Hallie in Scream 2, Liev played Cotton Weary in the 1st 3 Scream movies, & Anna played Rachel in Stab 7 from Scream 4. Coincidentally, Logan’s score was composed by Marco Beltrami who did the music for the 1st 4 Scream movies.
@@rierz_yes Matty has assured me that he appreciates the number of comments I make (it helps with the algorithm) so as many times as I want (9 in this case & 10 with this reply lol) :)
Sabretooth was included in the original script & Liev Schreiber expressed interest in returning to play the character, but he ended up being excluded from the final screenplay.
At the time of its release, Logan was the 3rd-highest-grossing R-rated film at the worldwide box office ($619.2 million). It’s now ranked in 7th place behind Joker, Deadpool 2, Deadpool, The Matrix Reloaded, It, & Detective Chinatown 3.
Logan became the first & so far only live-action superhero film to be nominated for screenwriting at the Academy Awards with its Best Adapted Screenplay nomination. It is also the first superhero film to be nominated for screenwriting since The Incredibles.
There’s 2 comic versions of what happened to the mutants… that I remember… 1. when Charles had his first seizure it was at the mansion and it killed all of the mutants that were there except wolverine because of his healing.. some were not there… 2. When Charles had his first seizure it put wolverine into an illusion that he was being attacked by enemies but it was actually just everyone in the mansion and wolverine killed everyone that was there not realising they were loved ones, teachers and students… Heavy shit
There’s hints in the movie that they were adding stuff to food like corn starch that was preventing mutants from being born and may also contribute to Logan’s decreased healing abilities.
In an interview for Throwback Studioz, Hugh Jackman said if he could’ve chosen one other X-Men member to go on the journey with them it would’ve been Halle Berry / Storm.
I always loved watching this in the theaters (I saw it like 8 times) and watching peoples reaction when this first came out. Because I had been waiting for this for a long time because in the comics he's always been a savage but in the movies he had that soft pg13 rating BS. But this was rated r so I finally get that carnage I've been waiting for. But peoples faces were priceless. It's like "he has adamantium claws what did you expect him not to cut MF's heads off?" 😂😂 The gore the sweet, sweet gore. It's been such a huge staple in wolverines history. we need a r rated MCU it's time #RRATEDMCU
The 'Comic Book Universe' is quite muddled, simply because writers can write whatever they want despite what's been written before and it is up to US readers to 'straighten things out'. This can be difficult and often WE have to invoke things like the Multiverse and Time-Travel and Resurrection and Selective-Amnesia to 'manage-things'. So in the spirit of Fictional Historical Comaradery allow me to 'clean-up' a few 'misconceptions' you may have about the Wolverine Subset. In X-men Origins Wolverine we have three people at the controls for the Adamantium Injection at Alkali Lake: Dale Rice, William Stryker, and Sarah Kinney. William Stryker had a son: Jason Stryker. Jason Developed strong telepathic abilities and was sent to Westchester for training but Charles couldn't control him. Jason returned home and drove his mother to suicide. William forced control on his son, had him lobotomized and frozen and used him as a weapon. Jason died in X2. William also died in X2. Dale Rice had a son: Zander Rice. Dale Rice was killed by Logan during his first rampage through Alkali Lake. (A fact not covered in the movie.) Zander Rice took over' his father's vacated position when the 'Company' became Transigene Corp where he tried and tried to clone Logan. (As Logan was the only person capable of withstanding the Adamantium Injection). However the sample that they had of Logan's DNA was damaged in the Y-chromosome and they could never make a viable zygote. Sarah Kinney survived Alkali Lake and continued to work for Transigen Corp. It was she who suggested that they abandon trying to make an XY clone of Logan and just simple go for an XX version. Zander Rice was jealous of her and refused to co-operate even after she experience initial success. Then the Head of Transigene 'died' and Zander became head of the cloning project. He resented Sarah's progress and forced her to carry the XX clone herself. Sarah had a daughter: Laura Kinney. In a complicated scheme Laura killed her mother while in a rage. The rest you know.
No, he is 50yrs old and by the time a Wolverine movie or content gets in production and all of that it would be like 2025 AT LEAST so he would be even older. On top of that he is like 6’0ft tall and the whole point of the nickname “The Wolverine” is because Logan resembles a Wolverine, small and ferocious. Logan is supposed to be 5’3 and of course we will never find an actor that small but 5’8-5’9 is good enough and with camera work and set design by making the places that the actor would walk smaller than the others so that way he looks even smaller and more comic accurate. Tom Hardy is a better actor than Karl Urban and he is 5’8 so he would have been perfect 10 years ago because he is 45 and by the time they do another Logan he will be close or in his 50’s so yeah..
From what I understand, I believe the first 3 X men movies and the reboot with first class are 2 different timelines. Logan is in the same timeline as the first 3 X men movies.
Fantastic movie King Matt! Your reaction was great to share while we watched this together! Thank you very much! I hope you are doing alright and staying safe Sir, and I can not wait to see what you have planned for us next!
1. This is one of my top 20 movies. 2. Can't believe you didn't cry at Charles death, not even Logan's! 3. You should watch Dangal (2016), that's a top 10 movie of mine; if you don't cry there, you are a tougher Matty than the one I knew. 4. Those things in your mouth, I've seen them on another reactor. What do they do? They look like a big bother.

Fun fact: Millie Bobby Brown auditioned to play Laura/X-23 before Dafne Keen was cast in the role that would become her film debut.
Yukio told Logan he would die with his heart in his hand & he died holding his daughter’s hand 🥹

I can't believe this is already the last one, your reaction to the X-Men series has been great! 👍

We’ve had to watch Charles die THREE TIMES now 😩😩😩 The Last Stand, Logan, AND Multiverse of Madness! Enough is enough 🥺🥺🥺
best marvel movie of all time, marvels version of the dark knight
Remember the prophecy from The Wolverine, that he would die with his heart in his hand?
Laura’s hand was in Logan’s hand at the end. 😭
That berserker scene where n the forest 🤯 still gives me goosebumps hearing his scream
Khamzat Chimaev @ 24:00 had me DEAD dude 😂

🤔 The new intro music sounds sooooo familiar! Adore You by Harry Styles?
yes!
This is the perfect film to end thw Wolverine Trilogy, but Wolverine will he coming back in DEADPOOL 3, September 2024.
But he had that spoiler from Deadpool 2, the little figurine of Logan's death.
You know who would make a great MCU Wolverine??? Karl Urban who plays Billy Butcher in “The Boys”

No, because Charles died in X-Men Last Stand.
This takes place after “Days of Future Past”, which integrates the timelines, and does a reset.
@@Parallax-3D oh yah. I can’t believe I forgot Charles dying in last. Lol whoops

you should watch "The New Mutants" Magik is so cool
This movie is emotionally draining (it’s great tho)
