Pen cases, Pen Storage for Fountain Pens

- Hello everyone,
I thought I would share with you some of the ways that I store my fountain pens. These have been collected over the last 7 years or so from Galen Leather, Rickshaw Bagworks, Paperblanks and one that I recently got for Christmas from a dear friend. I love each of them for different reasons, but find all of them very good protection for my pens.

My mother once wrapped an old box and I have a lot of stationery there. Also, I have a giant box for pens.

Galenleather… they’re my favorites too! I have one case like you and the larger simple one that holds 10 pens and an A5 notebook which I take on trips. I was super lucky and scored a vintage cabinet with 5 shallow drawers (actually 2 of those) where I keep my pens in 2 drawers. Then I have a collector’s mini storage thingie with a drawer and glass lid, where I keep the ones that my husband got me. That works great for me! xx Dag 🙌🏻🖋

@@jppenandink I’m very confident that my husband had gotten it many years ago at a stationary story in Maryland. Oh I didn’t even mention that I love cigar boxes or my pens in use, but I think I mentioned that before! Similarities…, yep also always so curious on how others do storage and all! I also love to write letters!
My inks… some are out on a shelf ( possibly visible behind me when I do my video intro), the rest is in two shallow drawers, yet another storage cabinet with many drawers, this one tall. My recent new BPC additions are in the bottom drawer of my desk… other shelves full, too tall for other drawers… they sit in an open small wooden box, easy to access. That was a lot, hope you can make sense! 🤓

I have too many pens. I purchased cheap pen cases from Amazon that store 48 pens, and (because I must have "All the Things") I purchased the same Galen Leather Crazyhorse Tan pen case you have and then a Dee Charles pen case (because I have a lot of pens that don't fit in the Galen Leather case.) Since I am a sewer, I also made a gazillion pen rolls, trying hard not to "copy" Rickshaw and produce my own "design." (I have even made pen sleeves out of men's neckties, purchased from thrift stores!) My parents had to evacuate their home years ago due to a wildfire, and ever since I have "clustered" my prize possessions--just in case I have to make a quick escape. I could load up my husband's truck with all of our treasures in less than 30 minutes. All of my pen cases could be grabbed and loaded within 5 minutes, (no pen left behind)!
Oh that sounds like a great idea Mara. I tend to have the same mindset, if we had to leave in a hurry, I could grab these pen cases quickly! You sound incredibly creative too! I’m sorry your parents had to escape wildfires, that sounds quite frightening. We get big bushfires here in Australia too, it always makes everyone nervous when we get a dry spell.
