There's no need to apologise for her lack of new material.
That and her cadence was off on this show. It was a bit rushed. If she slowed down her pace and sharpened her language, phonetically, I mean, it might work better. Her comedy is smart and well-timed. I've seen her past shows where it was almost patient-like due to her accent and the japanese expectation amd thus, her jokes hit harder because there's no expectation in terms of her delivery and her accent just made it more unpredictable which thus made her joke more hilarious because it works and its competent.
Maybe she just needs to tighten it up a bit. Comedy isnt easy I dont think, it's a social game to play with people's expectations and subvert it cleverly. If people can guess your delivery by the speed or whatever factors by whatever reasons; and that it just doesn't sound funny like you're trying too hard to become funny than just present yourself and joke "authentically"/consistently then it appears as if it were predictable and boring.
Even with all this theorizing, she went out there and practiced and that's what matters. You can't force people to laugh but you can competently subvert their expectations and that's with practice and experience. Kudos to her for being on stage and gaining this experience.

I think the audience audio/mic is just low.
I always find it impressive when someone can be funny in a language that's not their native language. This is low key hilarious - crowd was kinda quiet, but there were some good laughs in this set
I love her style. Her delivery is so slow and patient. And yet it still catches you of guard.

Wow, you can see audience can make or break a good set. They were cold and it started to mess up her timing. Good writing and professional attitude kept her alive. Can’t wait to see her hour long special some day.

I'm from Japan. I think a joke about not being able to know Tokyo might work only in Osaka, which is the second largest city in Japan. People in Osaka are considering that everything in Osaka is better than in Tokyo. Otherwise this joke sounds quite boring in Japan.

Apparently, people from Osaka consider people from Tokyo too conservative and socially inept.

I'm from Tokyo and honestly I just know that people from Osaka feel a kind of enmity towards people from Tokyo. And people from Osaka are generally more cheerful and open minded than people from Tokyo, which is probably related with their negative perception on people from Tokyo.

@@World-birder if you watch any Serie A (premier league Italian soccer) or world cup matches, the Italians will fall over screaming (hoping for a free kick or penalty) if the opposition players even brush past them. Much like that brazilian mummy's boy Neymar.
