I was shocked that the pop-up corn couldn't float the fluorocarbon. Other than that, nothing really surprised me but this was good to confirm with a real world test. Thanks everyone for watching, truly appreciated.
New Subscriber! I found your video very Interesting for two reasons: Firstly, what the heck was going on with that trail of (I don't know what) coming from your Method Feeder! Were you able to figure that out? Makes me want to pre-check all of my feeders to see if that's happening. Secondly, since I use Korda ready-tied hair rigs, I wasn't thinking about the "sink rate" before this video. You've made me aware that Braid is preferred, so I guess it's about time I started tying my own hair-rigs! Thanks for the insight - Joe
Thanks for watching. I still have no clue what was happening with the feeder. My only guess is some weird reaction, maybe there is a coating on the feeder to protect it from corrosion and on contact with water it starts to interact chemically. Honestly, zero clue but best guess I have 😅. I use the ready-tied hair rigs off amazon, they come tied with braid already. I haven't used the Korda ready-tied rigs, but I know they make great products. I think it's all situational in the end though, however, it definitely seems that the fluoro with it's sinking behavior will pin most baits to the bottom, I think a well made pop-up boilie would float it but I didn't have any on hand to test with. I've been catching most of the carp in my area using fluoro for the leader/rig line so I guess they're feeding off the bottom well here. I am interested in if my hookup ratio will increase if I get the baits suspended off the bottom using braid and more 'pop-up' style baits.

I knew braid would float, but shocked the pop-up corn wasn't able to float the 15lb fluoro, was for sure it would lift it some
Nice. Learned something new today

@@castandtrail Looking forward to your follow-up video on the results if you do one!
Thanks
@josephquinn7356 definitely plan on doing a variety of these to learn for myself and hopefully others can learn as well.
