Thank you Benj for the thoughtful overview. Shopping (in vain) for an X100V two years ago resulted in buying an X-Pro3 which I do not regret for a minute. With the X100V's successor, THE new feature I'm looking for is that I can actually find one!
Based on what I ahve read so far, the upgrades are not revolutionary - I think the best move for many will be to buy one of the many, many used X100Vs that are about to hit the market from those who are upgrading
Bought the x100v in 2020 as a second camera for my 5D mkiv. I then upgraded my canon for an R5 and as much as I like it for real projects, my x100v was my favorite camera ever. Just sold the x100v 4 days ago to finance a new computer, but there’s no doubt, I will buy the x100vi. I agree with the internal storage, that would be amazing because a lot of times, I would have love to shoot with the x100v for paid contracts, but was using the canon for the dual cards necessity 😅
I like all of your proposed improvements and would really like to see them implemented in an X-Pro 4. The X100 series design is truly timeless, but I don’t mind the slight increase in bulk and weight in exchange for the ability to change lenses. Also, since the X-Pro bodies are already a bit larger, the increased grip necessitated by introducing a larger battery would not seriously alter the design aesthetic. As always, the real test will be one of patience. I’m sure that there will be incredible demand for the X100 VI and an X-Pro successor.
It is one of my favorite camera of all times. I'm a Fujifilm shooter, most of my gear is Fuji and I used to own a 23 f/1.4 - most of the time It was glued to one of my cameras, so I decided if I was going to use 23mm most of the time I would get the X100V instead as my 2nd camera and lower the weight a bit. It honestly became my go-to camera for all my personal work, including the one I took everywere with me... for reference I took 45% of all my photos in 2021-2022-2023 with this camera (I did a quick analysis on LR).
Was hoping to get an x100v but after reading reviews and looking at used prices - I purchased a used x-t5. The x-t5 was small for travel and had most of the features everyone wanted in the new version of the x100. I will be looking to see how many people sell their x100v cameras to upgrade.
I got lucky with an x100v and picked one up while stores were discounting them and used prices were dipping below €1000, even if I wasn't quite that lucky. I honestly thought I overpaid with €1100 used, while new ones were €1250. But the writing was on the wall for me last July, it became obvious a new one was coming, so I sold at the peak and set the money aside for the x100VI. Looks like I might even get some change. My decision to sell was in part because I also picked up an x-t5, and found the way it renders colours superior. The 16 2.8 with cropability became my lightweight combo to replace the 100v. But I preferred the 23mm f2 on the V to the way the 23 1.4 LM WR renders and have been patiently waiting! The 40MP sensor is great news. I was doubting whether I really needed the V or VI with the compact x-t5 and small prime. But there have been numerous times I've comply not taken a camera because of self conscious reasons or not wanting to stand out generally and had to make do with a phone. It may not be super compact, and it won't be my everyday camera, but can't wait to own one again. Got my reservation in already at the photo store in town. Already on their inventory.
The vertical tilt would be fun but only if they manage to do it without getting bulky. Not something that would make me upgrade from my X100V though. The only thing I'm really missing is a wider range of aspect ratios, but that could easily be added with a firmware update. This camera is pretty optimal as it is, I love it. One thing people don't mention enough is the lossless teleconverter: it's like having two additional lenses with equally perfect optics. I've never seen this on another camera before.
I’ve owned the X100F for 2 years now and it actually still feels very fresh to me. Paired with the WCL it has become my favourite camera for street/documentary photography. The only reason why I have thought about upgrading to the V (or VI) is that it has the Color Chrome Effect and it would allow me to use exactly the same recipes as on my Xpro 3. But a 1000 euro premium for just that feature is a little bit too much 😅
Great video. First time seeing your channel. Per Fuji ruumors the VI will have 40 mp like the XT5 and IBIS (no mention of # of stops), and projected price to be $1599.00 USD. I'm stickng with my V since I've had it less than a year, and being fron a lifelong Nikon shooter, frankly I'm still learning the Fuji system.
The X100V was my introduction to Fuji, and I got I when it released. I paired it with a Sony camera and ended up going all in on Fuji and selling my Sony camera. I barely use it now, I lean more towards the XPro 3 (XPro 4 soon 🤞🏾). But I have a lot of love for this camera. Also I’m so sick at how expensive that flash is now. I got it used for $150 like 2-3 years ago. I went to get an extra one a few months ago and it’s now like $500. 🤯
The only reason that could make me upgrade which will most likely never happen is an X100 with a proper manual focus and distance scale to provide the optimal tool for street photography. (I don't need IBIS nor 40MP)
They have this built into the software and in the viewfinder and it works great. You don't need it written on the lens. It shows you zone focus scale in units you choose and adjusts the range based on the aperture you're set to and the shows you the correct hyper focal ranges for your focus point. If you really want it written on the lens for reasons I don't understand you could just use an X-Pro or another Fuji and adapt or use a manual lens that has this. Doing this digitally and putting it right there on the screen and viewfinder works perfectly well for zone focusing for street. In fact that's a great way to use manual focus with the optical viewfinder without relying on the digital patch.
@@benbunch4159 I am 100% with you on this very function that I use today. But actually very often I involuntarily come across the focus ring and discover long afterwards that I have changed the focus plan. Of course, I take this mistake on my part. Therefore I think it would have been cool to have visible numbers on the lens itself. As for your second suggestion, I have to admit that I like the size and shape of the X100V more than the Xpro. Xpro feels heavy/big in my hands. And OVF is a must (many other choices fall outside my needs) Something we should be allowed to complain about, right? I keep dreaming🤭😂
Ibis and internal memory would tempt me to upgrade from my f. The other stuff, not so much. I’d guess the memory addition would be quite simple and cheap for Fuji to do As I’m incredibly old I recall that carrying extra film rolls along was never regarded as a problem by anybody so an extra battery does not bother me. Of course no one will complain about any upgrade which comes our way in a new model. It’s just a question of which would get your cash
Since you asked, I feel compelled to offer feedback. As a previous owner of the original X100 and also the X100V (as well as the X-H1, X-Pro3, and GFX 50s) I would really like to see Fujifilm address the long-standing issue of shooting wide open with the X100 cameras at shutter speeds greater than 1/250 (for example, outdoors) and killing the out of focus (bokeh) areas in the image - apparently this is an inherent limitation of Fujifilm's implementation of the leaf shutter. The built-in ND filter is a band-aid that only provides enough attenuation in borderline cases.. My Ricoh GR cameras are also leaf shutter cameras and do not have this problem. Fujifilm apparently redesigned the lens for the X100V - they should have addressed the shutter issue as well. Electronic shutter is not a solution for a camera at this price point, touted as a rangefinder-like experience. Also, given the portability of the camera and its reputation as a "street" camera, it should also be fully weather sealed without having to kludge together a solution based on adapter rings and filters. It's a fixed lens, come on Fujifilm. Sorry to be a Debbie Downer, but hopefully critique from experience will make things better.
@@benbunch4159 Owned every generation of X100 except the S... never found a way to put the histogram on the ERF. If you know how by all means please make a tutorial and put it up on YT for the benefit of all mankind.
@@benbunch4159 I think you misunderstood me. On the X100T and above there is a small EVF window in the bottom right that can be toggled off and on while using the OVF. This is different from displaying the histogram in the OVF. As far as I know, this little EVF pop-up (the fuji manual refers to it as the "ERF") can only be used to display different magnifactions of the image as a focus assistant. I want the ability to use it for something else - like the historgram. The reason is because the dark backing would make the histo much easier to see compared to the standard white histogram in the OVF, which can become hard to see in bright conditions.
@@RichardSilvius ah yeah that little guy. My S doesn't have it and I do miss it from my dearly departed (stolen) F. Personally I don't see a use for that patch other than for manually focusing and I get why Fuji doesn't either. The metering is done through the lens so if you wanted to you could just stick your finger in front of that corner of the OVF to get more contrast there. Really the less edge case feature you are asking for is brighter (and more user adjustable) OVF overlays. Personally I think the the biggest issue with Fuji's histogram across all cameras is it disappearing when you half press the shutter.
You said it all in the first 10 seconds. I wanted to upgrade from my X100T and I can’t find any single one below MSRP that isn’t a scam. That’s bonkers
Had the camera for 2 years. It's a lot less imperious than some claim and I think there are a lot of areas for improvement, including I think a couple of big things. No I don't mean ibis which I could take or leave for 23mm! Things that bugged me that I'd like to see improved: - improve the AF a lot. It's accurate but slow, especially in lower light. - EVF resolution is poor, improve that - OVF magnification is poor, improve that - stop it heating up just by being on - filters only possible with a step up ring, fix that - WR only with fugly adapters need to be fixed and made fully WR without - dual storage, whether internal, micro SD or dual SD - less plasticky dual iso/SS dial - bring back d-pad - 3-way tilt - better battery life - slim it down so that it's genuinely compact if possible. On the sensor, I have the x-t5 from the x-t3. I sold the x100v in part because I preferred the IQ of the 40MP. The colour rending is just better, closer to the x-trans III goodness. And if any camera should get a 40MP sensor it's one with a fixed lens and digital cropping functions! As to low light, noise levels are comparable if not better than the 26MP up to about iso 6400 - at least what noise there is is smoother comparing at the same magnification, more like film grain and therefore less noticeable. From 6400-10,000 the x-trans IV has a slight edge, but the noise of the 40MP is more pleasant and the image is sharper retaining more detail. For me the resolution is the least important aspect of the 40MP sensor, it's the impressively better dynamic range and improved colour rendering that come first - extra important for a camera you might be shooting jpegs more with to make use of film SIM recipes.
I agree with you, Ben. I’ve been through a Marriott of cameras, but the X100 is still in my bag. I would definitely appreciate the improved battery and rear screen that could flip out in portrait orientation. Having a slightly better resolution in the electronic viewfinders would be wonderful as well. I’m with you regarding the 26 versus 40 megapixel sensor. 26 is perfect for what this is designed to do. Other things I could think of would be, perhaps to have a D pad And maybe one more custom button.
I had the X100V and there's nothing I'd really need changed to enjoy the camera. Ibis, a faster lens, better autofocus and a bigger battery would all be welcomed but not completely necessary for me. The one thing I would like is faster processing when using clarity. Thinking outside the box a built-in tungsten filter for the flash would be nice or even a really compact accessory flash that can bounce.
It's pretty much confirmed that the VI will have IBIS, and the 40MP sensor that's also on the XT-5 and H2. Although I didn't see anything about it yet, I'm betting the AF will be on par with the XT-5 and H2, since it's using the same sensor as those cameras. This camera will also need a higher capacity battery, as it will suck up more juice with IBIS.
@@benjhaischcan you or have you covered how to use your version two presets. I have the OG cascade which I still love, but I’m having difficulty dialing in the new ones.
I loved my x100v yet bought and sold it twice. It’s almost the perfect everyday carry for me. With the new 6 rumored to have IBIS, combine that with longer battery life and that could finally be the thing that has me buying and keeping it! I love both of the new sensors and own the X-H2s and X-T5 for personal work so I’d be happy with either one but would be a little concerned with the cost, size, and heating of a dual sensor addition to a small body like that.
A very good summary, thank you. I agree with you completely about megapixels. It doesn't need 40. A faster sensor would be preferable, but I'm afraid it'll be the X-T5 sensor.
My wish list is brief: W235 battery, 2 card slots, screen from XT5. I’d take 26.3 or 40MP. I agree with you that the XH2s sensor is all I need, but I’m pretty sure they feel the pressure to give it the 40MP sensor that all their other cameras will get. They could stick the XH2s sensor into the X-Pro4, which is the camera I’m really waiting for, but with the way the X-T5 was marketed with stills as the priority, it’s safe to assume that the XP4 will also get the 40MP sensor. Now, let’s see what they come up with as a retail price… They know even the old one still sells for $1600. Hoping somehow that the new one will only be $1499.
I wish they just be able to make more X100V stock so you can buy brand new at a reasonable price 😅 Anyway, for me would be just enough if they do what they just did with the XS20, the old sensor with the new procesor and the newer batteries. I have an XT5 and don't get me wrong, but the 40MPX is just too much sometimes. I love my XT5 but raws take a lot of space and for daily use I don't need that much resolution. Also the low light performance is better in the XS20 due to the lower mpx count.
The X100VI will be announced in 2 weeks with the 40MP sensor and is slightly thicker. Strangely the X100Vs seem to flood in at the dealers here now as if Fuji found some stock items they urgently need to sell now.
Cool video, but I am just wondering why so many people always make a connection with “longer” or “bigger” as more professional? Is it just because everyone wants this camera to look more expensive, or like a Leica? Is it to get that classic Garry Winogrand with M look? Some professional photographers like Terry Richardson shot almost exclusively on Yashica point and shoots, that didn’t look professional but had excellent lenses. Based on my experience, professional features are things you typically don’t see, but that make all the difference: dual card slots, better battery performance, incredible lenses, o-rings on all doors and cavities, stacked sensors, flexible buttons for quick access to settings, and to some degree the ability to changes lenses (not just adapt them). Some of this can be found in these Fuji cameras, but professional photography is more about understanding the tools you have and how to use them to compose stellar images. All of that said, the X100V/VI is capable of being a professional tool, and I’m not going to argue that having a beautiful tool isn’t inspiring.
Thanks Ben. I always enjoy your videos. Very thoughtful and you’re able to back it up. I probably won’t get into this camera because I use the XT5 with the 27mm and I just bought a used Leica Q2M. Looking forward to getting used to that even more! Geoff
What will be interesting is if the Q2M really makes a difference over the versatility of the XTX is shooting in B&W. I expect a difference at low light, we’ll see if there are other advantages with the sensor! I’ll let you know! Geoff
The stacked 26mp sensor with the improved autofocus and the bigger battery, would be perfect. The rest would be nice to have. Whatever Fuji do, please don't make it any bigger and bulkier.
fully agree that they should put the lower MP sensor in there (not a fan of how the high mp sensor looks either). Battery is probably the most significant upgrade and I actually wouldn't mind if they reverted to a fixed screen (I've never used the flip lcd on my gfx100s)
After taking off 6+ years from photography, I came back at the end of 2021 and immediately backordered the x100v as I loved my og x100 back in the day. 2 years went by and never got the camera with my order ultimately being canceled. I simply refuse to pay the wild 2nd hand prices for the v and older models so will be trying again for the vi or will pick up an older model if the vi pushes their inflated prices down by 50% or more.
I was in a similar situation (didn’t bother ordering an X100 though because I didn’t want one) and ended up picking up the X-E4 and really prefer it to the X100 cameras I have owned.
I purchased the Original X100 and still have it, then moved on to XPro bodies, currently shooting with FF cameras so no, not going back to X100??? Great video as always.
Great video on the x100v, I love mine and use it nearly every day. I agree, I think the successor should have IBIS and the X-H2S sensor and processor. I would rather have that sensor as it is a stacked sensor so way faster and I don't need 40MP in this body design. The new, larger battery wouldn't work as they would have to make the body larger and hence kill its sleek, sexiness.
I feel like no matter what this camera has it’s gonna be impossible to find. I think the feature id like to see the most from Fuji would be them making enough of them for people to buy.
i got an xe4 when i couldnt find an x100f or v and i dont regret it. i use it with the 27mm 2.8 so basically rock it like an x100 but i also have the ability to swap to other lenses. the only thing that could realistically get me to "upgrade" is ibis, which i doubt is even possible without making the camera bigger. even if they did i have grown so attached to my xe4 im not sure ill ever upgrade until this thing flat out stops working
Great sports camera, always bring it when skiing. The built in flash and the ND filter is a fantastic bonus. I onlyuse the ovf when shooting with flash. Quite neat! Hehe I have tried so many times to get the screen out in vertical mode….agree on that, batteries, internal memory and also the h2s sensor. I would go fullframe or mediumformat if I needed more resolution.
Just having enough supply to respond to the demand is the main improvement they can do. Having a camera that cost 40% more than is selling msrp 3 years after is insane.
Theoretically you shouldn’t need to clean the sensor because there isn’t really any way for things to get in there anyway. I’ve owned this for almost 4 years and have never had an issue.
Neat camera! How do you think it compares with the XPro3? The weight and size of the two cameras don't seem much different, and of course you can change lenses on the XPro3.
Very excited the the upcoming X100..not going to make the mistake again this time..will difinitely pre order!. incase the new X100 gets crazy hyped again and be difficult to acquire..haha great points Benji..they are going to have the XT-5 40 mpxl sensor..its already confirmed..and IBIS as well..haha so two out of your 5 on the list is taken care of...haha
I had the x100f. Really loved it, until it developed a bunch of dust on the sensor with no way to clean it. Since then I've switched to a cheap xt10 and have had no complaints.
I feel like you’re better off buying a Fuji X-T5 used along with a used lens more versatility in the longer term. Given the add-on lens if you include that cost you’re nearing Sony A7cii prices as well so something to consider.
Nice video. Your experience matches mine pretty closely. My one gripe with this camera as a travel camera, it appears to have terrible distortion when shooting architecture/street type shots, especially when using the WCL adapter lens. I don't hear many people mention it but it really is a weakness of that lens that I was hoping they would fix, but early rumors say the optics are the same. I find 40mp to be a hard drive filler on my XT5 but would give a fixed lens camera more ability to crop to a tighter field of view.
My biggest wish with the x100v is for a better viewfinder and better peaking display for precise MF. I'd even allow a small hump in the top plate to get a larger EVF. It does not need to perfectly resemble a Leica M3. It's a Fuji, not a 65 y.o. Leica. The focus-by-wire is imprecise and could be improved. I do little MF with the x100v instead relying on center spot AF. In contrast with all my Sony cameras, from the Nex-7 to the a7Rv, MF is a pleasure.
With all the accessories and bulk that you have to add on to make yours act like a 28mm, it seems like Fuji could incorporate (in a similar sized package) something like their 18mm 1.4 LM lens, which along with the 40mp sensor would make for a camera a whole lot like the Leica Q. I'd be all over that, and as long as it hit a price point under $3k, I'd bet a whole lot of others would too. Honestly this would be my perfect camera.
I have the X100T and love it with a few exceptions. I prefer 50mm so wish it was offered in 35mm (crop would mean a 50}. The aperture ring is a little too close to the body. I love my Q2 and Voigtlander 35 as the focus ring and aperture ring are flipped compared with my T. Howabout a monochrome version? I’m so tempted by the Q2 Monochrome. Great video as always! .
I have a X100F and I’m disappointed in it, I would only upgrade to a X100VI if they upgraded it to a full frame sensor and came out with an option of a 50 mm lens standard.
Internal storage would be fantastic. I'd jump in but after using the Viltrox 27mm 1.2 at low light event venues, and being thrilled with the results, I can't see a place in my work bag, but man is it a thing of beauty, and I love how you have jazzed it up with the accessories.
I am always surprised how people make it that their cameras look like brand new although they are three years old. My two years old X100V looks waaaaay more used ...
I think everyone knows the only improvements that will probably come are 40mp & ibis. I hope I'm wrong but that's likely. I wish the evf is improved. Probably the biggest negative in the x100 series
I think the only imp[improvement I'd like to see is.... Fuji, meet the demand. No use watching a review of a camera that for MONTHS remains unavailable die to lack of product AND the used go for 2 or 3 times the amount of the new.
Those changes would make for a bigger and, with the tilting screen, non elegant camera, which then wouldn't be the Fujifilm X100 anymore. If those changes are needed for professional work then it would be more reasonable to get one of the Fujifilm offerings for professional work. I don't understand why get a camera for its appealing, and then think its appealing should be diminished to end with a boring camera.
I had the X100T and feel since then this line has got worse. The tilt screen is out of place and fragile. The over engineering adds cost and that's all, and the auto focus is still terrible.
In 5 or 10 years time SD cards will not exist we will have the technology to build 2 or 3 TB into a camera With no problems at all I've been saying 45 years get rid of SD cards they are stupid deadset we can build memory into cameras now more goodness we can put a TB into a smart phone 📱

I’d guess the memory addition would be quite simple and cheap for Fuji to do
As I’m incredibly old I recall that carrying extra film rolls along was never regarded as a problem by anybody so an extra battery does not bother me.
Of course no one will complain about any upgrade which comes our way in a new model. It’s just a question of which would get your cash
The Godox retro is a fun flash for this camera too! Yes - they are far beyond taking some ones wish list.
You’re such a good reviewer. Thanks for the info!
ah thanks!
FUJI: FOR THE LOVE OF GOD, LET US PUT THE HISTOGRAM ON THE "ERF". The OVF histogram is hard to see in bright conditions.
Pretty sure you can… you could on the older ones and can on the other Fujis?
@@benbunch4159 Owned every generation of X100 except the S... never found a way to put the histogram on the ERF. If you know how by all means please make a tutorial and put it up on YT for the benefit of all mankind.
@@RichardSilvius just picked up my X100S. I put the viewfinder to my face, toggled on the EVF. No histogram. I hit "DISP/BACK" once and there it is.
Real ones will be waiting for the X-Pro4.
Things that bugged me that I'd like to see improved:
- improve the AF a lot. It's accurate but slow, especially in lower light.
- EVF resolution is poor, improve that
- OVF magnification is poor, improve that
- stop it heating up just by being on
- filters only possible with a step up ring, fix that
- WR only with fugly adapters need to be fixed and made fully WR without
- dual storage, whether internal, micro SD or dual SD
- less plasticky dual iso/SS dial
- bring back d-pad
- 3-way tilt
- better battery life
- slim it down so that it's genuinely compact if possible.
10:45
Agreed. Not crazy about a slower sensor. Use the xh2s sensor!!
Maybe more so for a xpro4 but I’d love to have a true rangefinder experience as an option
I want a Medium Format version of this camera ! Fixed lenses, 50s/R sensor :-)
I really like the results you put in the video, are there any recipes involved and if so, what are your favorites?
They’re my presets :) benjhais.ch/cascade02
I can HIGHLY recommend Benj’s Cascade presets. If you reven remotely like his editing, get them. The pack is well worth the money.
I has the x100f and eventually the Leica Q. I found the Q to be much better for my work, which I’m guessing was the fullframe and great manual focus.
I have the Q and the x100v.
I love the Q 😊. Fuji is nice, Leica is epic.
Greetings from Germany
I wish they just be able to make more X100V stock so you can buy brand new at a reasonable price 😅 Anyway, for me would be just enough if they do what they just did with the XS20, the old sensor with the new procesor and the newer batteries. I have an XT5 and don't get me wrong, but the 40MPX is just too much sometimes. I love my XT5 but raws take a lot of space and for daily use I don't need that much resolution. Also the low light performance is better in the XS20 due to the lower mpx count.
*Availability* would be a handy feature for the successor. If it gets IBIS it's gonna need a higher battery capacity. And heat management.
Studio set up looks good!
Thanks Ben. I always enjoy your videos. Very thoughtful and you’re able to back it up. I probably won’t get into this camera because I use the XT5 with the 27mm and I just bought a used Leica Q2M. Looking forward to getting used to that even more! Geoff
Oh man… I’m still lusting over that Q2M I had on loan for awhile. Congrats!!
Frankly, I am looking forward to picking up an X100F again one day.
Can you show what large prints look like from JPEGs and Raw edited photos from the X100V?
I feel like no matter what this camera has it’s gonna be impossible to find. I think the feature id like to see the most from Fuji would be them making enough of them for people to buy.
Id love to see what you have all your settings (that stay the same usually) set to! Do you use the face tracking etc!
i got an xe4 when i couldnt find an x100f or v and i dont regret it. i use it with the 27mm 2.8 so basically rock it like an x100 but i also have the ability to swap to other lenses. the only thing that could realistically get me to "upgrade" is ibis, which i doubt is even possible without making the camera bigger. even if they did i have grown so attached to my xe4 im not sure ill ever upgrade until this thing flat out stops working
How do you clean the sensor. Is there a way to open/detach the attached lens?
The heritage of the V and it being the last made in Japan x camera makes it the last epic x100 camera.
I'd love that as well. Basically just put a smaller 18/1.4 onto an X-Pro4 body
Great video as always!
.
Do you use any protection on the lenses? Like an UV filter or lens hood? Are the lenses easily scratched?
I usually have a lens hood on, but generally just don’t worry about scratches that much :)
It’s pretty much already been confirmed that it’s the 40mp sensor and IBIS. See ya on 20th Feb 👍
The new processor should supercharge the AF. Subject detection, too. IBIS would be highly desirable.
Improving into a 40 MP camera is quite good, I think.
Fuji rumors saying 40 MP with IBIS as differences so far. He’s much more reliable than the Sony rumors guy 😂
a pleasant ‘shutter sound’ would be nice
Hard to get that out of any leaf shutter that I’ve ever heard though :/
I recognized Smith Rock in a couple of images. Anyway, what hood did you get for you WCL? I'm having vingetting issues with hoods I've tried.
It’s the model P from benjhais.ch/squarehood :)
@@benjhaisch Thanks.
I want that exact grip for my X-Pro3, which color is that?
I would love the ability to add my own shutter button like on the xt series cameras!
i still keep forgetting to ask where you get the all black peak design anchor links... but also yes to all of this =)
Peak design
Battery grip is dope, but you have to take it off to change the battery and drop in a new card.
FujiRumors "confirmed" that IBIS will be on the new version :D
You can get them though. People get them weekly from the big stores.
The X100F has the EVF and OVF as well
Hello Benj, I'm interested with cascade LUT, it's can install at my camera S5II or G9 II ?
Yes! I have a whole video coming on this specifically!
@@benjhaisch I will try to buy it 😁, thank you Benj !
I would love to see a faster lens, 1.6 or 1.7, a better battery and please not a big 40mp sensor. 24 or 26 mp fits everything for a everyday camera.
what we know
- same 23mm f2 lens
- new ibis system
- new 40M sensor
- similar body size
I have a X100F and I’m disappointed in it, I would only upgrade to a X100VI if they upgraded it to a full frame sensor and came out with an option of a 50 mm lens standard.
Get ready to remain disappointed.
Sort of hope it has a slightly bigger lens,.. maybe a 35mm.
ill keep my x100v
I think everyone knows the only improvements that will probably come are 40mp & ibis. I hope I'm wrong but that's likely.
I wish the evf is improved. Probably the biggest negative in the x100 series
I would sell my firstborn (and my x100v) for internal storage or dual slots on the x100vi
Sorry people who just bought a $2k X100V yesterday.
How are you going to cram the bigger battery into that foot print? Huh? If you’re a pro you always carry extra batteries!
I subscribed
god damn it looks fugly with that wooden grip. A nice thumb grip is all that's needed imho.
I had the X100T and feel since then this line has got worse. The tilt screen is out of place and fragile. The over engineering adds cost and that's all, and the auto focus is still terrible.

How ironic that you complain about someone's pronunciation (which by the way is a ridiculous complaint) whilst making numerous grammatical errors in your comment. As a linguist, I can say pedants and prescriptivists like yourself only do harm to language.
I am shocked that you're being this nit-picky about language, when your reply is borderline incomprehensible
I’m shocked you took the time to write a comment about something as negligible and inconsequential as the manner in which the creator pronounced a single word in a very helpful, informative, creative, and - as others have pointed out - free bit of content.
True, but if you’re going to complain, put the IPA emphasis markers where they belong ;) _com'pact_ and _'compact_ is what it would have to be. ;)
