- I finally shot a nice drake pintail! Not a lot of ducks around at this part of the season, it's unreasonably warm and the temps aren't getting the birds moving around, or migrating in with new birds. Still made the best of it with a couple draw hunts at Magee Marsh, enjoy!

Glad things turned around for you guys. Did you have the spinner out both days? I'm across the pond from you in Long Point and man do they shy away from that thing more times than not this year.
We did not, we saw them give us a look and then turn out or to another place in the marsh. Decided to throw it out and it seemed to work in our favor more often than not. It’s just a dove spinner, I’ve been experimenting with the dove spinner vs a full size spinner and think it’s worked well
Interesting, that said I have tried the flock of flickers which are pretty tiny, mixed results with them in the water and in the field.
@@CADwaterfowler Yeah I’m sure it’s completely situational lol divers seem to like the big one, puddlers reacted better in the marsh to the dove spinner. Honestly I’m 50/50 on when we use them anyway, if I have my choice I don’t throw it unless I see them being weary then I’ll throw it out and see if it helps
Have you ever hunted unit 10?
Just curious if you have to have a boat to get to it.
Yes you need a boat to get to Unit 10, you can either park it on the dike of the channel or pull it over the dike on the rollers and bring it inside the unit
@@TooManyHobbies like there is a designated spot to park a boat at the unit? Is a kayak possible? I wasn't sure how long the ride was lmao. Thanks dude!
Not necessarily a designated spot, just anyway near your unit. There’s signs that say when you’re at the unit, kayak would be a bit of a haul, maybe a 30-40 min paddle, 5-10 mins in a boat

There’s not a lot sitting up here…but they’ll get moved down this weekend with this weather coming
