Sooo the first 2 hunts I was using my new weatherby element. Clearly I struggled to make good shots with it. The last hunt I had a different weatherby element, same gun, same chokes, same ammo. Does anyone have any ideas on why they shoot so different?
Get a mid bead put on by a gunsmith. Makes it easier to see if your not looking straight down the barrel. There is a plate inside the stock that changes the pitch from left to right
Dixie did an outstanding job marking, handling and retrieving the ducks! I agree with you about handling a boat without neutral or reverse in River current: it sucks.
As much as we struggle with good dog work in the field, I've never had a complaint with her and ducks. She never gets bored and she's always so cooperative with taking direction.
@@brettschultz5150 hey thanks for the support. There are a few stretches that you could do fine with a outboard and a lot of places you can't. I wouldn't try it anywhere in the dark. That river fluctuates a ton on a day to day basis

Or shoot right handed like a normal person
Another thing why are you hunting nasty ducks when you can be chukar hunting. And the lab is a better chukar dog

dice is a great little retriever😊
Can you use an outboard on the snake or do you need a shallow drive boat. Love the vids keep em coming

Surface drive with adjustable trim would do fine with low water level.
