I am 44 years old. The original Metroid for NES had been one of my favorite games growing up and I had been hooked ever since. You do an absolutely beautiful piano rendition of the music. The music of the game is one of the many reasons I keep playing it. It doesn't matter what game I play It almost always makes me want to play them all, all over again. I love them all. Metroid prime was my first Metroid game, and I think it’s hard to put into words the effect the music has on you when you’re exploring and suddenly surface in Phendrana Drifts after the oppressiveness of Magmoor Caverns, or stumble on the Chozo temple at the impact crater. I would just hang out at those places to listen to the music and experience the world. It must have been even better for people who had played the prequels and got the musical references. I have since played most of the other games in the series and can’t wait for MP4. Fantastic playing, bravo!
My first Metroid game was Fusion as a kid. My favorite though is definitely the first Prime game. When I played Super Metroid on my 3ds for the first time over a decade later (never had a Super Nintendo growing up) and got into Ridley's lair to find that it had the SAME song as Magmoor Caverns I was utterly thrilled.
My brother and I would always play Metroid. We just sit together for hours playing, just engulfed in the world and story. The music has always fitted the game but, hearing it on the piano, played so elegantly, stirred up memories I havent thought about in ages. Thank you Lara for showing us your talent and bringing me back to a time that I love. You deserve more exposure! I hope whatever ambitions you have on youtube or elsewhere come true. Good luck! (Though doesnt look like you need it. :D)
Not only was this compilation better than literally 99% of the other metroids musics out there, her playing is so inspiring. Can literally feeling the emotion being convey'd through her playing. and if i might be so bold, the performer is very easy on the eyes. all together a Terrific collection

Lara's covers are so nostalgic and awesome! This whole franchise is so special to me, it's influenced everything from my writing to drawings, and even career path. You played Phendrana as beautifully as I remember. I adore how the OG title theme goes from horror film (like Alien, woah, almost like it was super heavily inspired by that) to almost Star Wars, right on back to horror film, and back again so seamlessly.

I started metroid series back on NES release and always loved all theme. Prime series is very deep into my heart even before SNES which I loved too. I listened to this without no skipping trying to guess the current tracks. It was very beautiful. I guess it right but I was hoping for Rundas ending. Anyway. Perfectionism right here. Like it!
This is wonderful, evocative playing Lara. Taking us back to all these places we have explored and know so well. I remember just stopping and listening to the soundtrack on so many occasions in the series. (Shout out to Tallon Overworld 2 from Metroid Prime and waiting 70 seconds, every time, for the theme to kick in). Thanks for the memories.

I clocked up 60 hours on my first play through of Prime. It was mainly because of going back and forth admiring the environment and the music.
Everything about that game was a masterpiece. Still holds up well. The switch is supposed to be getting an HD rerelease too.

Metroid music is such a masterpiece. NES Metroid is dark and brooding and Metroid Prime is epic and uplifting

My favorite Metroid game is Metroid Prime Trilogy.
