I purchased F123 on the Steam , and I want to play the quest2 VR version of F1 23. When I enter the game from Steam, the steering wheel does not respond.
May I ask how to resolve this situation
Hey! Tbh im not sure how much I can help but you might need to reclick the game window on your computer after the game starts in Steam VR.
I've just tried F1 23 via Airlink on my Quest 3, and it was horrible... 😮😢 The main issue was that it seemed head tracking was really bad, when I shook my head the whole scene was shaking, but slow movements were just fine. All other games were fine, no tracking issues. What could be the reason? 🤔 My gamer PC is quite strong, no issues with PCVR games over Airlink. Just with this game... 😢
I had the same issue with F1 22. Seeing the same thing in F1 23, now. Hmm.
If possible, I would try using the link cable instead of Airlink. I remember back in F1 22, I had similar issues with airlink then. Once plugged in, the tracking and performance considerably improved for me, albeit still not the best. I've tried stepping out of the car and walking around the paddock and got a little motion sickness.

Probably not but I wouldnt be able to test it. The issue still appeared when I raised the lighting quality to ultra to see if it'd disappear but no, my computer just wanted to kill itself.
Can you play this game with vr controllers or no i use a rift s btw
I have no idea tbh, its not something I would recommend. I will give it a try the next time I get a chance as I am super curious as well! I'll keep you posted

@@Stealthycessna From what Ive tried, my quest controllers cannot interface with the game whatsoever. You can put on the VR goggles and use a gamepad (xbox or ps5 controller) to play the game if you do not have a wheel but still want to race in vr.
Btw, who the hell designed these new F1 cars in a way that we can't see straight ahead?? The center of the cockpit is blocking the view. I just hate it..... 😢😢😢
Having used VR for 6 hours the last couple days to drive, you get use to the halo column and dont notice it
When playing on a monitor, its almost suicide not turning off the halo column in the camera settings. However, as mentioned above, the column does "disappear" into your eye's natural blind spots when focusing on something ahead of you to the point where you completely forget its existence when viewing in stereoscopic vision. I would give it a few laps in time trial to get adjusted!
Great video man. Its such a shame how bad the VR quality is. But as you said the team radio is soooooo bad. They never talk on any strategies, no trye info, nothing... Same radio message over and over again. It makes the game so flat. If they just implement a Chatgbt iike system and some intelligent udnercutting or overcutting ideas would make the game so much more immersive. Even just simple stuff like letting your team mate through if his faster, etc.. So much opportunity there for them to explore but they decide to do nothing
Even setting the engineer to talk more at the beginning of a race doesn't do much. Even asking him to shut up doesn't seem to work as he always finds the worst part of a corner to say something completely irrelevant.
I do really hope they eventually implement more team dynamics like letting faster teammates by and have that affect your acclaim within a team. I think itd be cool if other teams also remembered your antics as well ie if you're in a backmarker car and getting lapped by a red bull and you pull an Ocon and crash out Max while in a championship fight making it much harder for Red Bull to ever want to sign you but increase Merc or Ferrari's chance to sign you or something lmao
