Enjoyed this video! You have been recommended by Jeb and Suzanne so I decided to check you out! Sounds like Turkish airlines is a thumbs up! You now have a new subscriber from the US!
Watching from uk we always go in antalya turkey every year for holiday sometimes twice a year but planning to go in turkish business class going to istanbul on September. Lovely video thanks for sharing ❤
I’m glad to see that you’re still making your, excellent and informative, videos as I was a bit worried that you had stopped for whatever reason. I can't wait to see what you review in 2024!😃
Thanks! Yes it's been a bit of a wait between videos as life and my real job have taken priority. Have a few videos in the pipeline to edit so there are more on the way.
Looks a very good product. Nice to see you up and about again. Normally we use Emirates to the UK but might consider Turkish next time especially if there is plenty of transit time to use the Business Class Lounge. I hope more independent travel agents are returning to the industry. Regards to you and your hard working staff.
Welcome back Dennis! As for your question; Lebanon. Although I suspect Bunnik Tours may not be running excursions to the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek any time soon - sadly.
Hopefully they start flying down under soon and we can see a review of it from you. Pro tip if you can book a longer layover at Istanbul for the lounge.
Had 2 really excellent flights with Turkish business from London Gatwick to Bali last September. Good service, excellent food and a super wheelchair service; particularly enjoyed their motorised wheelchairs in Istanbul airport. F1 style! 🤣
Flew Turkish in October from Washington, DC to Amman, Jordan and had an amazing flight! Food and service were excellent...Looking forward to flying Turkish again some of these days! They also have some excellent saver awards for Biz class.
The first lounge in Istanbul is actually the Miles & SMILES lounge, for TKs frequent fliers and Star Alliance Gold guests. Miles and More is the Lufthansa Group frequent flier programme, to which TK certainly doesn’t belong 😉 Happy New Year! 🎆
Just finished my flight with Turkish business 787 from Taipei!! Loved it! Tried all the scotch!!! ;-) It looked like I had the same chef. Little bit more active crew I hoped for. You pretty much had to ask for everything. Wifi didn't work the entire flight. But overall amazing flight amazing aircraft. OW my blueberry cake in the morning was perfect!! ;-)
Turkish is my favorite longhaul airline. I fly to Europe from LAX or IAH, via IST. I like the long flights that allow for 2 full meal services, watching a movie or two, and a good long sleep in business class. I must say that post-pandemic service has been reduced a bit, but still very good. Thanks for another nice review, Dennis.
I didn't watch any of your videos in such a long time! It's a real joy to watch them. I don't exaggerate if I say that they bring me happiness!! Now I wanna fly with Slovenia and of course, would love that flight to be on business but let's see 🙂
Great to have you back, Dennis. I have flown Turkish airlines 6 times, 5 of them in business. From Australia the first leg was with Malaysian and then Turkish. My first trip was in 2019 to Ljubijana via Istanbul. I was amazed at the Turkish Business lounge and the many food options available. At that time the aircraft were the Boeing 777ER, the seats were a bit dated but spacious and comfortable. The food and wine was outstanding probably the best in the air. My last trip was last year (2023) and still very good, I think pre pandemic it was better. The service was excellent on all trips and I am looking forward to being able to board Turkish airways in Melbourne when they arrive.
Love your videos Dennis. I haven’t done much international flying, and never been to Greece, or Turkey, so I’ll put in a vote for the baklava we can get in Adelaide (Bowden) when we visit there. Look forward to seeing more of your adventures in 2024.
Dennis, first of all I wish you a happy New Year and a healthy 2024 for you and your loved ones. The video was great as allways. I have really enjoyed it. Greetings from your birthland The Netherlands😘👋🇾🇪
We had four long haul segments on Turkish in October. After seeing so many positive reviews, we set our expectations high. The SFO-IST leg was very good but not as good as Qatar or Singapore. The other flights were simply average. The chef idea is novel but such a gimmick. The food in general is average, and on the last leg-IST to SFO was below average. The food was over cooked and the service practically nonexistent. I had to go to the galley many times for water and I slept thru the meal.(We were NOT offered “meal-on-demand.” When I asked for something to eat mid-flight, I got the sad look that only sandwiches were left. The sandwich was on very cold dry bread with a whisper of meat and a nickel sized piece of cheese. I went back to the chef and told her Turkish should be ashamed for with business class food like this. A good chef would never allow this!. The snack menu shown in this video is pitiful, unless an airline offers dine on demand. After all of my insults to the crew, they fixed me a wonderful cheese and gravlax platter. All I can say is that most of their crew on all four flights were very lazy! I’ve also had clients express the same concerns. If their price is right, I can overlook the food and service, as the bed was very comfortable. But if I had the choice, I would fly SQ, QR, or EK. I’m disappointed that I had to write this, but hopefully the airline does some much needed staff training.
Ahh chef in plane.. I remember 1930's when I use the plane for first time from Nederland Oost Indische to Nederland.. that is so long time ago (in my dream)..
Hi Dennis, Happy New Year!! Your vídeos are so refreshing !! Turkish does an excellent job inflight, on the ground… well that’s another different ball game. Best wishes
I flew Turkish business class from LHR to KUL via IST with my wife and two kids in April this year. The O/B flights were really good on the A300 and 777 (although the 777 has the dreaded middle business seat). I actually preferred the old style business class on these flights because there is no restriction on your feet. We flew on the 787 on the return and I found the seat quite cramped. The service was good on all sectors but found the service on the KUL-IST flight a little rushed. The crew seemed reluctant to serve extra drinks when I asked also, and considering the amount of money I paid, this was very disappointing. Beware though, Turkish changed our seats several times on the lead up to the flights without warning, splitting my family up. Considering we were travelling with children this was really bad. I had to check on the seat status every day for two months just to correct their changes if they were made. I was too slow for the KUL-IST sector and were were sat all over the cabin. Not sure I would fly with them again due to this uncertainty. Another enjoyable video Dennis, love your work!
I flew TK on an award flight ISTMEX recently (17.5 hours I think qualifies "long") - I had some expectations on having a chef onboard but boy I was disappointed... Connecting via IST is quite nice for us Europeans as the connecting flight from lets say scandinavia offers the "European business" but TK have more of an American frist class seating so very nice with real seats, three windows for myself, even on narrow body planes.
I flew Turkish economy class for two successive long-haul flights during Covid. The main annoyance during the flights was that they had cancelled all hot meal services during Covid (at least for economy - I’m not sure what the fancy classes got) so every meal was a dry, pitiful little cold sandwich, a small brownie, and a little juice box. I had five of those dull cold meals on that trip. By the third one, I was sick of looking at them. But fortunately I came prepared, so I munched the snacks from my carryon and made the best of it. And on my five hour layover in Istanbul, I tried to make up for it with two hearty hot meals at an airport restaurant. Otherwise, the service was fine and I had no real complaints. If I have a chance, I may try the airline again as I’m sure by now their regular hot meal service is running normally again, and I’ve heard that their food is usually good. No fancy-class smoked salmon and grilled beefsteak for me at the back of the plane, but it would surely be better than my experience back in 2020.
Hi Dennis, firstly happy new year ! As for the best baklava...well I might be based, but as an ex-Victorian living in Queensland.... For me the best one comes from International Cakes, in Lonsdale Street Melbourne. ( Next door to Stalactites Greek restaurant). Not only are they massive in size, but so delicious, I always bring some back from Melbourne to share with my Queensland family 😋
This looks nice. I will say I have visited Koper, Slovenia when I was in the Navy and really enjoyed it and want to go back someday. Turkish looks like it is in direct competition with the ME3 carriers. Chef onboard? Doesn't or didn't Guaruda have a a chef onboard in their first class a short while back. Jeb Brooks did a video on it and I was impressed. Great video as always Dennis! Cheers
Nice video Dennis - I’m also so glad they are finally coming to Australia - Adelaide would have been good but I’m sure it’s not on the cards just yet- we flew from London to Bali in J and they were excellent - I seem to remember we had veg with the steak - it seemed odd to me but at least the salad was a good size 👍

Happy New Year Dennis. Fun fact...the 787 DreamLiner is manufactured by Boeing. :-) You must have been in need of rest when you wrote the description for this video. I don't have any experience with Turkish, however, I am a fan of airlines who give passengers new travel options. I thought the seat looked good on your flight, but I was not overly impressed by the food. Given the price of today's business class tickets, I have an enormously high expectation that the food and hospitality be incredible. Anything less than that is unacceptable.
Great video Dennis and good timing as we are planning an upcoming trip too Europe ( Spain ) with a stopover in Zurich to visit friends . I was very excited to hear about the availability of flights from Melbourne to Zurich via Istanbul with Turkish Airlines not so long ago and looking at their pricing makes them very appealing in business class ( $5500 rtn ) . I have to give you some input on these TK flights! I flew to Brussels from JFK all business couple of months ago ( I have flown TK many many times, some of them are good flights and some of them are not). On my last trip all my flights JFK - IST (Old 777), IST - BRU - (Old A320), BRU - IST (old A330) and IST - JFK (Old A330) flight interiors were ancient i thought the bulk heads were falling apart. It's always fun to watch your reviews--you can deliver zinger lines with a straight face--LOVE IT! Looks like this trip was a fun one! Just wondering which airline you took to finish the trip home...
Hello 👋🏽 Dennis Happy New Year 2024 🎉 Hope to see more and more flight reviews from you I flew Turkish Airlines in October 2022 really good flight both ways from Heathrow to Istanbul. The best Bala Klava the sweet is from Jordan 🇯🇴 Hope you have a fantastic year ahead
I did ask him and he told me he was a qualified chef but yes he would also have general flight attendant duties - especially when it comes to safety. It's an interesting concept and no doubt a great marketing tool for Turkish.
Once again, a great video Dennis, thank you. I was a little disappointed, as from the thumbnail photo with the chef, I thought it was going to be a behind the scenes video. That said, I'm a big fan of Turkish Airlines. Their food being one of the reasons, one of the other reasons you mentioned at the start. They have proper recliner business class seats even on their short haul narrow body planes. I really wish other airlines in the UK/European market would adopt a similar seating policy for their business class seat and not just block out the middle seat. I really don't understand how they can block a seat next to you, without even getting anymore legroom and classify it as a business class seat, it really annoys me. Anyway, thank you for the review and I wish you and your family a happy and healthy 2024.
Thanks Phil. Would love to do a behind the scenes video at Turkish one day! Yes love their short haul European business class - agree the others just isn't business at all. Happy new year and all the best for a brilliant 2024.
I honestly prefer the old business class if no one is sitting next to you. More room to spread out and their bathrooms are bigger. Also, with the business class bathroom not being next to the economy curtain, there are less people sneaking into the business class lavatories on the old planes.
Have had close to 100 flights with Turkish Airlines, excellent airline and the best option for economy class travellers. Although if you are business class traveller then probably Emirates and Qatar Airways are better options.
Awesome! I'm going on my first business class flight in February just a short hop from Auckland to Brisbane on Air New Zealand, have you been on it before? If so how is it? I am aware it's not very private
Enjoy Air NZ - their crew are fantastic. Yes the business class layout (on their 787 and 777) is a bit weird but it's a fun experience. I have some reviews of it up on my channel.
Looks great Dennis! Yes it's wonderful to see Turkish coming to Australia! We need all of the competition we can get to bring down the prices!!
Very true mate! Cheers Paul & Dennis! 🥂
View from the pillow is the best shot on YT for the year so far!
Enjoyed this video! You have been recommended by Jeb and Suzanne so I decided to check you out! Sounds like Turkish airlines is a thumbs up! You now have a new subscriber from the US!
"Airbus 787" in the text - that's a unique one for your logbook Dennis! :)
😂😂😂 I'll blame the NYE hangover for that one - or a complete brain fade!! have corrected
Watching from uk we always go in antalya turkey every year for holiday sometimes twice a year but planning to go in turkish business class going to istanbul on September. Lovely video thanks for sharing ❤

I would certainly consider Turkish, depending on which cities and if they went straight to Istambul, especially if it was direct from home.
Welcome back Dennis! As for your question; Lebanon. Although I suspect Bunnik Tours may not be running excursions to the Temple of Bacchus in Baalbek any time soon - sadly.
Great video. Cant wait to see tk come down under
Good transition from the moon shot to the circular Turkish logo 🌔
What a wonderful way to start 2024. Thank you Dennis, good on ya. Happy New Year! 🥳
Flew Turkish Airlines about 8 years ago. They were superb. Looks like nothing has changed.
Hopefully they start flying down under soon and we can see a review of it from you. Pro tip if you can book a longer layover at Istanbul for the lounge.
Turkish airlines is the best airlines I flown with, wish to come to Australia 🇦🇺
Will be flying Turkish business in June to Philippines, really looking forward to it, especially the lounge in Istanbul.
A great way to start the new year with a new video! Gelukkig nieuwjaar, Dennis 😉

Great to see Dennis’s videos
Flew Turkish in October from Washington, DC to Amman, Jordan and had an amazing flight! Food and service were excellent...Looking forward to flying Turkish again some of these days! They also have some excellent saver awards for Biz class.
Looks good.
Hopefully the Member for Qantas (Catherine King) is offered Platinum Turkish status and they can run lots of flights to Aus.
Cannot wait for them to fly down under! 🎉❤
I’m looking at flights from Europe to Hong Kong in business in June. Turkish has a lot of flights and very competitive pricing.
The first lounge in Istanbul is actually the Miles & SMILES lounge, for TKs frequent fliers and Star Alliance Gold guests. Miles and More is the Lufthansa Group frequent flier programme, to which TK certainly doesn’t belong 😉
Happy New Year! 🎆
Miles&Smiles is frequent flier programme of Turkish Airlines, while Miles and More is frequent flier programme of Lufthansa group.
looking forward to fly with them later this year!
Looking forward to TA coming to Perth. Perth is so under-serviced and remote.

Looking forward to flying TK to Esastern Europe one of these days
About to fly next week on Turkish soil definitely appreciated your review! Honestly I’m just excited for the Turkish coffee throughout the flight 😅
I didn't watch any of your videos in such a long time! It's a real joy to watch them. I don't exaggerate if I say that they bring me happiness!! Now I wanna fly with Slovenia and of course, would love that flight to be on business but let's see 🙂
That "moon-to-logo" shot was very good! Dennis is starting the year off extra fancy
Looking forward to TK flights from Australia, more competition hopefully means better quality and pricing from other airlines as well.
great review
Thank you
Turkish Airlines announced flights to Melbourne today, starting in March

Dennis, first of all I wish you a happy New Year and a healthy 2024 for you and your loved ones. The video was great as allways. I have really enjoyed it. Greetings from your birthland The Netherlands😘👋🇾🇪
Another great VT. Never flown via IST but the product looks a hard product and will last well
Great job as always mate. Have a great new year

Hello Dennis, there are so many feeder flights into IST that TK will have no problems filling its Australian services when they are launched.
Great video! Can you access Turkish Business Class Lounge in Istanbul if you travel with award ticket?
I’m very curious! Heading for CapeTown via Istanbul out of Valencia on Turkish Airlines business class today.
Have a sensational trip
I‘m booked on a TK C flight to Hong Kong in a few weeks. Looking forward to it, even more thanks to this review:)
Great video Dennis

Since I’m half Turkish I’m definitely going with Turks for the best baklava, can’t beat my grandmothers cooking. Happy new year Dennis!
Ooh, that lounge at IST looks like a must-visit!

I flew TK on an award flight ISTMEX recently (17.5 hours I think qualifies "long") - I had some expectations on having a chef onboard but boy I was disappointed...

Cheers
Your flight looked great.😊
Nice video Dennis - I’m also so glad they are finally coming to Australia - Adelaide would have been good but I’m sure it’s not on the cards just yet- we flew from London to Bali in J and they were excellent - I seem to remember we had veg with the steak - it seemed odd to me but at least the salad was a good size 👍
Not sure how many Turkish places around me prep Baklava by a Turkish recipe, so I can only judge on the Greek. Note to self flying 787 fly on a daytime flight.
Great Trip Report
I love the lotions and potions vibe🎉
Be sure to join Miles & Smiles FFP. After a long haul flight their points system is generous and their e/statement about your points is efficient and easy to redeem. TK is excellent. I have a holiday home in Turkey and use the airline regularly. I'm thrilled that they'll soon start their Australian routes. That's brilliant because I'm an Aussie too!
Wonderful work as ever Dennis. Loved their attention to detail, especially in the bathrooms and on that all important food front! Have a great 2024 and really looking forward to checking out more of your work later in the year ✈️
Great to see them coming to Australia ...
Happy New Year Dennis. Fun fact...the 787 DreamLiner is manufactured by Boeing. :-) You must have been in need of rest when you wrote the description for this video. I don't have any experience with Turkish, however, I am a fan of airlines who give passengers new travel options. I'll blame my NYE hangover for the 787 Airbus! 😂😂
Loved this review!
Wonder what the pricing will be like for Istanbul to Melbourne ? .
We have never used Turkish Airlines before so it will be quite the experience , also Slovenia 🇸🇮 is our favourite country in Europe we love it there .
Maybe a stopover in Istanbul is in order as well , what are your thoughts ? .
Türkiye by far have the best Baklava. Having travelled to Türkiye 5 times now I always look forward to there Baklava. Pistachio being my favourite.
I wish they upgrade the interior soon! They were literary falling apart. Other than that their Food services and IST lounge is really good. I mean outstanding! Cabin crew was nice too!
This is one of the problems with fast growing airlines - consistency and big differences in the hard product depending on the airline. Hopefully the older aircraft will be upgraded or retired soon.
It's always fun to watch your reviews--you can deliver zinger lines with a straight face--LOVE IT! Looks like this trip was a fun one! Just wondering which airline you took to finish the trip home...
I’m pretty sure it’s singapore airlines as I took this route also
yes it was Singapore Airlines - filmed a review and hopefully have that out in coming weeks.
Can't wait to see that one!@@DennisBunnikTravels
I'm going to date myself here, but I was there when it was still called Yugoslavia. Beautiful part of Europe.
Me too!
Non stop Dan made lemen mint the most favourite drink on airline. 🎉
Hello 👋🏽 Dennis
Happy New Year 2024 🎉
Hope to see more and more flight reviews from you
I flew Turkish Airlines in October 2022 really good flight both ways from Heathrow to Istanbul.
The best Bala Klava the sweet is from Jordan 🇯🇴
Hope you have a fantastic year ahead
When does Turkish airlines start ?? We need more competition to hopefully get the prices down!!!
Happy New Year, Dennis!
Happy new year!
Turkish airlines is come to Sydney in march
My friends just travelled Business Class from the UK to BKK with Turkish, sadly they were really disappointed.
Isn't the "chef" just a cheaper way to replace a flight attendant who would otherwise do galley duties? They're just reheating food, not cooking it. 😅

I suspect that the reason why a starch wasn't served with the steak is because of how late it was. I'm sure some would have been provided on request.
All the best in New Year
Happy New Year mate, hope it's a good one.

Was the Chef actually cooking or just there to take the load off the flight attendants in Business Class?
Here’s to a great 2024 🎉
Dennis, they are toilets or lavatories, not bathrooms😂. Happy New Year!
Unless you can have a shower! 😂
Hi Dennis, what's your secret to flying frequently in Business or First Classes? I'd like to copy you so bad! Thanks for your advice!!
Nice review … might need to work on the black out effects though… not particularly successful lol
Istanbul is a cool airport but obscenly expensive, the food inside the security gates i something like 4 times the price outside.
Yes sadly the same at so many airports around the world. :(
Happy New Year
Happy New Year to you too.
Kebab Chef? And Turkish AIrlines is not the only airline with an Inflight Chef right?(doesn't Austrian Airlines also have Inflight Chefs?)
do these take routes around from where alot of conflict is
@DennisBunnikTravels thank you I know what to expect now :D happy travels this year nice to see tourism making a comeback
Seats looks exactly same as SQ business class but different colors.
TK food is hard to beat.
Looks like the catering has really gone downhill, but a great video anyway.
Turkish Airlines Is The Best Airlines In Europe My Opinion
