The superiority of the USN which has been kinda a thing since WWII cannot be overstated so the various ships in this game are generally going to be easy to play and will perform to expectations in most cases.... But that's also quite boring after awhile which is why it's good to enjoy the other participants from other nations. At Tier 6 I can say from experience that both cruisers, Maya & Munchen, are actually very good ships. I believe VII Hipper put out an informative (and favorable) video review of the Maya when it was first released. I think the Munchen is that forgotten cruiser that's better than people bother to realize...there are reviews of that ship as well. Scharnhorst, first and foremost, is a German brawling battlecruiser. It's fast, very well armored, and likes to brawl in tight places that can make opponents rather uncomfortable. It's great for taking caps early in a match and there is nothing more concerning than a well-armored brawler that has torpedos. The secondaries, in close combat, can rack up a timely fire. Think of it as a kinda/sorta supercruiser at Tier 6 that likes coming right at ya. She's good. She's very good. Those 283's do more than ya may realize. Try it with a speed/accuracy build....I use Scheer as the primary with Guepratte and Iachino...all at 16/3. What do Scharnhorsts like to eat? enemy cruisers because those 283's won't overpen as much. Got destroyers? Got solution....again, the 283's will cause a variety of damage with HE or AP. 283's and BB's....get in close and let the torps do some of that heavy lifting. The main guns, in combination with the torps will do enough damage in most respects...you'd be surprised (maybe) on how many spuds forget about those torps, but i digress.... The Strasbourg is one of those ships that ya need to play smart...what I can tell you is that IF you can do that much, you'll quickly realize that this ship can punch an enemy ship in the mouth and that reload booster can get ya the KO. I also like the Collingwood. The division of opinion regarding this particular ship is impossible to ignore, but it's a better battleship than ya may allow yourself to think. SpartanElite 43, of all people, has a few videos that showcase what it can do, of which I'm in agreement. This video by Dr. Ghost is his opinion and let's face facts....he's a terrible player 😜 All kidding aside he's a very good player with a talent for cussing, apologizing and cussing seconds later which means he has a passion for his work and cuss words...but it's his opinion for what works with his play style, which is different than mine, and likely different than yours.... One player's discarded trash can often be another player's Kraken Unleashed....just ask Metajerk.

Another dd I would of recommend is tier 6 pan euro destroyer Orkan she's an M Class Destroyer from the British Royal Navy the M Class ships were basically similar to the Lightning or L Class Destroyers but Orkan was transferred to the Polish Navy just after her commission I forget her royal navy name tho but Orkan is like USS Kidd and has only one torpedo tube rack but Orkan has Radar and if you build her correctly you could stealth radar with Orkan's radar and on top of that she's basically a Polish Lightning
I live Louisiana, and one time, I went to Baton Rouge and got to see the USS Kidd. It was an awesome experience, and I learned a lot. I recommend it to a lot of people who goes and visits Baton Rouge.😁

I agree with you on most if your picks, tier six and seven definitely make the most credits and xp. I am probably going to get Z-35 or Yudachi. I lean torwards the Z-35 because I like the German Tech Tree Destroyers. Great Video.
Yūdachi is good till the moment when enemy destroyer appears. Because of its low HP and long reloading time of main battery it can’t counter strike them and sinks in less then 30 seconds.
U also forgot about the oland for tier 6 gunboats. It’s also on a 40% discount right now add the 70% discount on top of that and it will cost you like 2000k dubs

Poltava is actually good not gonna lie she gas good HE but not as good as say British HE but good enough she has a high fire chance i believe at 42% all i know its in the 40's plus she as sp the can slap broadsides with her velocity guns ad her shells fly pretty fast Poltava is actually just a mini Slava a few downsides is yes her turning circle is terrible its 1000m not too far off from saying Lexington also yes she has 14 inch guns but i prefer her over Florida i dont 100% recommend her but she's decent ive gotten almost a 200k damage in my Poltava and almost forgot she's russia. So she has good armor if angled properly

Z 35, i have her in my port since 1 year its my favourite deatroyer. Its a awesome gunboat and has strong torps.ypu also have good concealment. I would definetely choose the z35 all the time

I got the Maya last night out of a super container. Wasnt sure if any good ( fairly new to wows) but wow, love it so much! And the credits are coming in.
The fact that only American Cruisers have radar and the other warships don’t is preposterous. In World War ll, every American ship had radar so we could detect the enemy from anywhere, it’s a drag that they only give cruisers radar
I have almost all the good ones so for the 70% discount coupon I'll recommend these ships in random order below number one. 1: Plymouth (slaps everything at broadside but never, NEVER let hit your citadel!!!) 2: Witchita (if you face tier VI-VII 15° guns they can't hurt you but lately a lot of 16" are in the game so you must be ready to avoid these shells) 3: Nelson (both AP/HE are good perhaps the only BB who can delete destroyers in one salvo,the healing pool is amazing but BB players who knows exactly were to aim at Nelson will delete it easily) 4:Abruzzi ( Good AP/semi AP guns, fast, good concilment, torpedoes). If you like tier IV-V a must is Hyuga,Giulio Cesare,T61. Personally i was between Worcester and Constellation I chose Worcester for the a/a defence but with poor results as a rarely see CVs when i choose it for a game 🤣
Ya I got the Florida and it is super hard to play! Steep learning curve but I think when I get it worked out I think I can be good with it. Def not going to make you money but I have had three kills with it in one game. I’m making her stealthy and fast as I can and use her as a super heavy cruiser play style

Is it just that big fat blob you show below waterline, or includes the above deck towers etc., … and what’s the relevance of the super thin bow on the Nelson - is it susceptible to big damage or does it just let shots right through to the big blob citadel?
@@Scoupe400 You can check a lot of that kind of stuff in the armor viewer of any ship. Most citadels are in the center-ish area of a ship and usually are the most heavily armored part of the ship. USUALLY large caliber armor-piercing shells aimed at the waterline have a higher chance of hitting that ships citadel for maximum damage... gotta remember though that depending on the range and whatnot from you and the ship you're shooting at, different things can happen. At super long ranges 17-20km, shells slow down and lose velocity and lose some penatration (making it harder to pen the citadel of ships). At closer ranges (5-8km), shells are at their peak velocity and have maximum penatration. Sometimes, shells are flying so quick and have too much penatration resulting in your shells potientally overpenatrating the enemy ship. THERE'S lots to take in account. Lighter the armor, more likely the shells will overpen. Think of paper, cardboard, and then full on steel. DDs are made of paper, cruisers usually made of cardboard, and BBs made of steel.

I got the nelson. The guns are fantastic. The heal is ridiculous, but she is squishy. But it's a famous ship and always wanted it or the rodney.

Plymouth in a nutshell is a professional short fuse ap stabber so most people who use it are screening for destroyers to get rid of them early game
Boise is very good and is sister ship to Helena and yes Boise actually has a super heal at tier 6 and is second to Salem

If you include tje t5 Graf Spee is unconventional but it's kinda an Agir light, bit lees armor but the guns are the biggest for the tier for crusiers.

I’ve played a few months and confused by it. Is it just that big fat blob you show below waterline, or includes the above deck towers etc., …
and what’s the relevance of the super thin bow on the Nelson - is it susceptible to big damage or does it just let shots right through to the big blob citadel?
@@Scoupe400 You can check a lot of that kind of stuff in the armor viewer of any ship. Most citadels are in the center-ish area of a ship and usually are the most heavily armored part of the ship. USUALLY large caliber armor-piercing shells aimed at the waterline have a higher chance of hitting that ships citadel for maximum damage... gotta remember though that depending on the range and whatnot from you and the ship you're shooting at, different things can happen. At super long ranges 17-20km, shells slow down and lose velocity and lose some penatration (making it harder to pen the citadel of ships). At closer ranges (5-8km), shells are at their peak velocity and have maximum penatration. Sometimes, shells are flying so quick and have too much penatration resulting in your shells potientally overpenatrating the enemy ship. THERE'S lots to take in account. Lighter the armor, more likely the shells will overpen. Think of paper, cardboard, and then full on steel. DDs are made of paper, cruisers usually made of cardboard, and BBs made of steel.
