The way you explained how it changes how the instrument reacts to you in terms of the air stream/mouth shape is MUCH more intriguing. With that in mind, it seems like a comparatively economical alternative solution to finding and buying a flute that is perfectly suited to you
I love how a piece of wood can change the way you play on a certain flute / headjoint! I think it's a better (and cheaper) way of matching your style of playing to your flute (even if you're not that comfortable playing it)
I have a recommendation for review. Ceflute stopper and crown. I bought one myself and found it worth the money, especially when one already have a nice flute, further upgrades maybe impossible due to cost and the Ceflute is cheaper than searching for another headjoint. In addition, if one has upgraded to a new headjoint or flute, Ceflute can transfer to the new one and it is possible to use the headjoint’s orginal crown.
There was some confusion in the on-screen chat about you mistaking cherry wood for beech wood and vice versa. Can you please confirm which ones you were playing during those sections? I would really like to make a purchase based on your description of the cherry wood but I want to confirm that is in fact what you were playing. Thank you!
I am enjoying your video :) Is your instrument a 14K combi? My flute is made of silver SR and plated with platinum. and I'm wondering whether cherry or beech would be better. I hope my articulation will be sharper and responsive.
