Thanks a lot for this review. It's really great to know that Nagahara Mini make cylindrical body work so well. And it sounds similar to flutes and different from other typical conical piccolos. For flute players, it seems a relief. Hope can get Mini one day, but probably need to start with Yamaha 62 first😆

Very nice ~ ! This piccolo is so magical!! This instrument reminds me of a Guo Treble flute I won during undergrad, which I fell completely in love with! I definitely need to try one of these soon. That Low B is so innovative!

Thank you! Finally an on-line review of the Nagahara. piccolo. I wish Nagahara would license their patented design and mechanisms to other piccolo manufacturers. Nagahara would make more money that way.

Happy to provide! It's hard to say what is the right direction for any company to go in. As consumers, we don't know a lot of what goes on behind the scenes. All we can do is show the companies what we love and are excited about what they make, and hopefully they hear us and continue to make more awesome stuff! 😊

Would you ever review your Matecki flute? I think that would be a cool fun stream to do.

There is a Thumbport for piccolo, you should look into if it’ll fit on the Nagahara Mini since you love it a lot on your flute.
