A few years later, she did a reaction/roast video in response to their "violin VS recorder" video, to which they also reacted.)
She has to. A recorder will start to sound hoarse after about 15 minutes of playing due to the humidity of your breath soaking into the wood. After being played for a while, a (wooden) recorder has to dry before you can play it again.
That depends on the recorder and the conditions (humidity, temperature). If the Recorder ist played in well (and I think all her recorders are), you can play up to an hour or even longer. I think she wanted to show the spectrum of recorders and their different sound colours.
Eddy's playing in general: decent start, chaotic middle part, elegant ending😂 Glad to see this OG series again!! Especially it's about the recorder, an instrument they once roasted and then get roasted in return by her lol Epic Collaboration! Also I wonder how many types of recorders are there? Is it like, once you know how to play one type of recorder, you can play the rest?
There are 5 main different recorders that vary in sizes but they switch between being in C and being in F. Therefore the recorders like the sopranino, Alto and Bass are played with the same fingering but to achieve the same notes different fingerings are used on the soprano, tenor. They all read in the soprano key but obviosly the timbre of each one is different, so yes you can technically play all of them if you can play (for example) the sopranino (in F) and soprano (in C) but each one has a very different feel to it, so each one is kind of like a "new instrument". Hope this helps😊
@@jeanniwiese3462 Very helpful. As a non-muso, I am fascinated that some instrumentalists are expected to play every instrument in that family, while others are not. Imagine if violinists were expected to be able to play viola, cello, double bass etc. to concert level.

Some of those are on my list of things I want to learn, but I'm not good enough to play yet, like the Vivaldi. Others I could probably play, given the music and time to work on them.
