i love the switches between characters with "we can use shiela to jump super high" "we can use sgt byrd to traverse the entire level" "we can snipe enemies with agent 9's gun" to "this is bentley. he made it up 3 stairs today :)"
He actually has a niche, yet extremely fun feature: he can reflect basically any projectiles with his spin move. Only really useful on certain Spyro 3 levels, though, where a lot of enemy types can actually die from their own projectiles
Byrd's rockets, Bentley's club and Sheila's kick probably count as Spyro's charge attack, but Agent 9's lasers probably count as flame, which is why each can't hit certain enemies.
Another challenge could be treat them as they are all in the same place but not interchangeabely: eg, if Bentley and Agent 9 cannot reach a place, from that moment on in that level, you cannot use them, but you can reuse them in other levels
also i honestly cant believe the sheer will you have against all odds pushing to get the game as completed as possible with the characters, you are an actual madlad
I think the plane thing is like going completely out of the scope of the challenge, since you have to change to a completely different mod that probably has changed the plane's behaviour to allow them to ride it. But the rest is cool to watch regardless.
After you do Spyro 2 and 3, I think it would be cool to see how fast you can casually beat the games in the trilogy if you had full access to every character. The only major rule being no glitches. I would also include no exploits... but that's kinda the whole point of the mod. Where I consider it to be interesting comes from seeing which characters can complete certain parts much faster than Spyro would. Personally, after Spyro (obviously), I believe Sgt. Bird would be the most used for reaching certain areas faster than Spyro, likely with Agent 9 coming right after to help quickly blast the egg thieves and some particular enemies. But who's to say until we see it? There might not even be that much faster a completion time in the end.

Second, I have no idea what the logic was behind using Sgt. Byrd to allow other characters into further levels, or the entire plane tangent. I would have preferred another separate run where you use every character except Spyro interchangeably, or in some sort of Nuzlocke style where once you switch off of them per-stage, you can't switch back.
I really the concept of the character swaps makes me wish someone did a gauntlet style level where u had to use each character to progress the stage since each has there own gimmick or abilities

Ive tried this challenge myself, and i found out that Sheila actually can get to the key in ice cavern, you just have to do the high jump and press the attack button at the same time. The same thing can be said for the key in Beast Makers, you just have to jump and attack at the same time and you'll get much more distance. In misty bog, sheila can sometimes hit the gnorcs when stunned. This only happened to me once though.
I am curious to see what happens if you try to load the non-flying characters into the flight levels. Do they get stuck in mid animation & just float around, do they instantly fall out of the sky, or does is break the game?
did you try fairy proxy in town square to get to more of the level? I'd have to imagine it works on the other characters and not just spyro. also agent 9 could likely jump through the pillar in peace keepers. theres a section of it that has no collision
I'm confused on the logistics of this video. If Sheila can't bring the other characters to Magic Crafters when she goes there legitimately, why is Sgt Byrd allowed to bring everyone with him through the dev warp?
actually, all the fancy lighting is really cool but having the settings turned down this like kind of makes it look like it's an HD version of a ps2 game. i might honestly do a playthrough of the game with these settings sometime, it's much closer to the general vibe of the original game on the PS1
Awesome mod but it seems more busted than helpful if you can't attack certain enemies with certain characters or if Bentley can't jump up ledges he would normally have no issue getting up without help.
it'd be interesting to see if agent 9's bombs can take out enemies he can't normally shoot, idk if this mod allows you to use his bombs... or sgt byrd's bombs for that matter
They mentioned at the beginning: they modified the game to have ultra-low graphics, as the last time they made a video on the game, their framerate was around 10 fps. They have a very old PC, so, to get a decent framerate, they needed to lower the graphics.

I'm mostly intrigued that Sheila is able to get the farthest naturally, compared to the character that has infinite mobility.
