Thank you for telling your cruise story. My daughter and I are going on a “Top of the World” knitting cruise with Arne and Carlos next month (September 2024). My daughter did not think she would need to renew her passport until after our trip. Luckily I found this video and heard about your passport drama! You saved us from going through a similarly stressful experience: she went to the agency in San Francisco straight away and we are all set to go. We will think of you on our journey. Happy knitting to you both!
It was wonderful to 'see' you again and re live our fantastic cruise! Especially now when we can't travel and have to live by the memories..... I sure enjoyed hearing about your trip. Thanks for sharing. A few years ago I got to take the Hurtigruten all the way up and back. It was a wonderful trip but I'd sure love to do it again with Arne and Carlos and a group of knitters.

How did you ever get all of that yarn home? Did you buy luggage to bring it home in? I watched Arne and Carlos packing for a trip one time it was like a suitcase in a suitcase type of thing.

My sister and I will be joining A&C and also Kate of The Last Homely House for a quilting cruise in March. I’m also a knitter so I’ll be doing both, it sounds like a perfect setting for relaxation, sightseeing and creativity! Thanks for sharing.

I meant to add that my love for sewing was first and as a young child did many wardrobes for my dolls, hand sewing. As I got older it was with a sewing machine without patterns sewing wedding dresses to casual dresses. Leaping forward I picked up crochet and feared knitting! But a few years back made a simple cardigan I gifted to a friend. Making the usual mittens, hats and shawls but eager to make some of their sweaters to leave as heirlooms for my grandchildren. My adult sons are quite tall and I can not imagine the vast amount of yarn! They are over 6 feet 4 inches in height. Love your calligraphy in the photos of your visits in towns. Will be going a business trip soon and will do this also when we do our selfies also. Beautiful views that you sharing.

The anxiety I would have had also. Not only the administrative glitch with the passport than the weather but planning a day before boarding was smart. Your journey was truly a testament of the love a daughter and a daughter for her Mom. My Mom, who is no longer with us physically, we had so many moments as we traveled because Dad is was in the military. Our days were so bless that as a grandmother too those memories are the gems of my life. She loved to hand sew even dresses! Her work was so intricate and flawless. She would make some of our dresses and tell us how she imagined us in them. I am sure it relaxed her since I am the oldest of ten children! I love Arne and Carlos and watching so many of their past video’s building confidence in my knitting. I am a new subscriber with them maybe a two week and now with you two. I love their Radio/Podcast as they call it. Hawaiian girls. I am from Hawai’i also. I will try a look up of the Pyrm needles. I look forward to many times with you both and being filled with inspirations and the undying love of a daughter for a mother. I have two adult young men sons and one adult daughter. Sadly relationship with her is very null even as she lives right under the same roof as I do with her two beautiful and respectful teens.

I just found your channel and so glad I did. I really enjoyed your blow by blow description of your cruise. What fun! I must say your beginning sounded so much like what usually goes on with my sister and I when we travel-one “adventure” after another. I laughed and laughed because I knew in the end you got to go! I also cried thinking about the Hawaiian girl’s first snow! What she must have thought. You made me want to book a tour immediately even though I can’t knit as well as the two of you can. Being with Arne and Carlos...well I better up my skill.

I found your podcast when Arne and Carlos mentioned it on their podcast the other day. I enjoyed it so much that I went back and watched all the previous episodes. I was lucky enough to go on a two week knitting cruise along the east coast from Canada to New York in September 2019. A lot of ports and a lot of shopping in your neck of the woods😍

Oh!!! What a wonderful and memorable trip you had and I loved that you gave us the whole story right from the beginning. I love stories with oodles of details! And I, too, LOVE going to the grocery store when I travel. It is a great way to learn about the culture. It would be a dream to do a knitting trip like this with my dear mother. I also became aware of your podcast from Arne and Carlos. So happy they recommended it. I loved hearing about the cruise and would love to sign up for the next one especially after hearing about your wonderful experience. I’m very prone to motion sickness and wonder if you experienced rough waters during the March cruise. Have to mention that we live in the Seattle area and my husband is from Boston! Our grandson is there now attending Emerson College.
