    No, it isn't straight forward. Straight forward was the checkbox for "Bloom".

  • @spootnikphorgettable6496
    @spootnikphorgettable6496 Месяц назад +12

    That’s an insane amount of steps for something fairly essential to renders. And it’s something that you want to be able to evaluate, in a scene, before rendering.

      @@grabbitt Indeed, I saw your video on it after I commented this. But still, I find it odd that such a basic function of rendering is tucked away like a niche technical feature. (By the way, I LOVE your tutorials. They've gotten me actually able to use Blender and make fun art!)

      This, I think they removed the bloom option to force us to use compositing, they should encourage the use of compositing by "adding" new features or so, not like this

    i don't mind bloom being moved to compositor (although it is objectively less convenient), what i do mind is that this bloom implementation is missing most of the controls of the previous implementation and, as you've observed, looks worse. :(

    • @hermanntolle4960
      @hermanntolle4960 23 дня назад

      its not moved there. It was just removed from the render settings. The glare node was allways there.

    • @shteeve
      @shteeve 20 дней назад +1

      @ glare and bloom are two separate implementations. They added a bloom option to the glare node when they removed it from render settings. So yes, it moved. And yes, it has fewer controls.

  • @ceciliomonzon3279
    @ceciliomonzon3279 14 дней назад +2

    For those who are working with composition nodes and would like to see the modifications in real time in your layout window, you must click on the arrow pointing down next to all the viewport options, there you need to select "Always" in the "Compositor" section. That way you do not need to render your image every time you want to see the modifications you are doing.

  • @melficexd

    It's uniform this way. Although bloom under EEVEE was convenient, now it is unified in a single solution, not two different things which had nothing to do the one with the other. And seems the compositor can work in real time now as well.
