- In today's video, I talk about how my old double kick pedal was starting to fall apart, and no matter how I set it, it was starting to fly back into my ankles and hurt a lot.
I replaced it with a direct drive pedal from Thomann - their own "Millennium" brand - which has turned out to be quite good!

I remember when you at 100 or some subscribers happy you're doing well nowadays!
So how's this pedal compared to Iron cobra? I play faster stuffs around 220 BPM and can I do that comfortably with it?
I actually have both! And it’s different between the two I like the direct drive because it gets rid of the chain slack / slap there’s a company called acd unlimited and they make a direct drive conversion for the open cobras I’m going to be getting them very soon. Like the pedal return spring on the iron cobras but for this pedal being so cheap I got it just for fun it’s very nice once you duel it in but it’s almost a tie for the two. I play a lot of metal and pop punk they both are great
I have this pedals. I play with this 205bpm heel toe. For mor I need harder springs.
Is it a Ddrum quicksilver clone????
I think it is. Everything seems to look the same, except for the color of the paint. Didnt even change the pattern lol
@@theblackknight870 Actually, it is the same that happened with the Holden Commodore and Chevy SS, badge engineering.
I bought the ddrum longboard direct drive from Amazon for under $70.00 and I like it a lot.
What the F... is this a copy of ddrum quicksilver direct drive double pedal, or is it the other way arround ?
Not sure, could even be the same thing. It’s a Thomann product, depends on the factory
In the States it looks like the ddrum Quicksilver pedals
Is Millennium the Brand name on these?
@@covering-some-things yeah
DDrum rebrands these as the Quicksilver line. Literally cheaper to order from Thomann and have it shipped here
thx for this vid, I had same situation, same pearl d.pedal...and I will buy millenium now ! thx !
So, now that you've had a chance to feed them a hot supper, are they any good?
do they make this in a lefty ?
Wish they made a lefty version of this.
These are not capable of constant Lombardo style double bass, its a beginner pedal and great for newbies.
You can buy 8 of these or one of those
Hi, are you still happy with this pedal?
Mine is falling apart after a few years of heavy use, not bad but definitely not high quality
Ummm,I've got the ddrum Quicksilvers and from the looks of these, I smell a copyright infringement...
Pants? Bass drum pedal catching your crotch area????
I’m English. It means trousers.
@@adamsteelproducer im english, your accent gives it away, english say trousers? Haha
I was awarded the Louis Armstrong Jazz Percussionist plack, With my highschool's setup. Don't blame the equipment hahahahaha
Good for you, don’t think that’s the right attitude though. You can do well with poor equipment, but you’re working against what you have- why not take the barriers away and make life and learning easier on yourself?
Surely you could grow faster with less limitations
@@adamsteelproducer Exactly this. I've been on a Gibraltar sing chain drive double pedal that was 199 for the last 14 years. Just stepped into an Axis AL2 longboard and yes, it makes a huge difference. EXPECIALLY if you play heel toe. Doing that on a short board is killer on the shins lol
Please... Change your cymbals...
There’s a video incoming on that. Already did!
I'm sorry but I'm missing the brand and model of the pedal?
@@FrankPCarpi Millenium The Strike
Not the best review I've ever seen
How on earth can I compete with some theoretical review.... thanks for the constructive feedback
@@adamsteelproducer point being, we see the pedal which is great hear it being played a little but no actual review on its good and bad points. Nothing detailed.
ok
