- Muay Thai highlight of technical fighter Chatchai Paiseetong (AKA Samart 2).
Chatchai Paiseetong was an amazingly technical fighter with textbook Muay Thai strikes who had great success during the golden era of muay Thai and was touted as the next Samart Payakaroon. His success, though, was shortlived as he struggled to maintain fight weight and fought well above his optimal weight class.
Certainly, in terms of pure talent, Chatchai Paiseetong was up there with the very best.
Sadly, Chatchai passed away in 2002, collapsing shortly after his last fight.

Chatchai was amazing! One of the few fighters I’ve seen get a clean win off Wangchannoi. Then I find out he passed away. Would not have known about him if not for your channel. Thanks Scholar!

I watch this old fights Somrak, Kaensak, Orono, Kaoponlek, Oley (magician) , Namkabuam, Lamnamoon (some of them are here ) and nostalgia kicks hard, MT will never be like this again.

@@jeffalisamir2164 C'était dure l'entraînement ( comparé a d'autre camp ) ? Les traîners étaient sympas , as-tu pu voir des stars là bas ( Kongtoranee , Samart , Chatchai , Nuengpichit , etc ... ) , les techniques là bas étaient ils plus supérieur a ce que lon dit ou l'entraînement/discipline était plus importante ?
Samart jai pu l'apercevoir une il étais en visite dans le camp il venais voir yotong le boss du camp un Mr en or samart ne boxer plus dans les années ou ji étais il étais acteur en Thaïlande oui je m'entraîner avc Chatchai,dephitak, est plein d'autre jeunes ou jai plus souvenir de leur prénom il y avais un nain boxeur très fort dans le camp il metais souvent ses adversaires ko au foie vu sa petite taille il boxer au lumpini cetais fou je m'entraîner avec mon ami Christophe L'évêque grosse référence en Thaïlande en ce temps là on louer une maison juste derrière le camp pour faire tt les entraînement du matin et de l'après-midi venais très discipliné mais dans la rigolade aussi il ni avais pas trop de touriste on étais les seul Danny-bill étais dans le camp aussi beaucoup de champions on pu profiter de la technique du sityotong pour moi le meilleur camp de Thaïlande au niveau de la technique pourtant jai fait pas mal de camp
jai même apris le décès de chatchai en retournant au camp pour m'entraîner javais arrêter de boxer cetais just pour le fun le teneur de pao que je connaisse bien men avais informé ça ma attristée il étais partie pour devenir une énorme star je pense qu'il na boxer aucun boxer étranger yotong ne voulais pas le laisser partir à l'étranger il y avais trop d'intérêt en Thaïlande

many muaythai fighters are dying young. superlek, deckers, chatchai, and so many others be careful guys about injuries and brain damage, don t forget muaythai is the most violent sport in the planet, don t take it lightly. you can train hard and enjoy the benefit, but unless you really need it to support yourself and your family, don t mess with the possible effect on your health. this is not a joke, injuries kill you, not instantly, but surely..
