This was the NYP All-star team of all time!! Glen Dicterow, Charles Rex, Kenneth Gordon, Rico DiCecco, Oscar Ravina, Mattiau Braun, Stanley Drucker, Joe Robinson, Judith LeClair, Phil Smith, Joe Alessi, Roland Koloff ... That was the philharmonic I grew up with ❤
It's so wonderful to see musicians putting so much of themselves into their music. But then, you wouldn't get to the NYPHIL without doing so. Thanks for the post.
Best part for me is the violin solo. I feel like I'm floating in a dream. Dicterow is an excellent violinist. Edit: Knows how to let it breathe. Rewatching this and did that clarinetist just switch to oboe in this concert? haha
Who is that magnificent violin soloist shown here? His 🎻 is amazing!!! Bravo!!😁❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️ splendid can can !!! That conductor is awesome. too!!!!!
If I get depressed. I will always come back to listen to this. It cheered me up that I want to kick up my heels in style! This is my favorite performance of the next decade!
That was a viola, not a violin. I suggest you educate yourself on the different musical instruments before spewing your ignorant criticisms around. Also, I noticed several crooked bow ties. Should we criticize them?

The best violin solo that I've seen! Coughings from the adiance is the worst.
Delicious ouverture written by Carl Binder on theme's from offenbach.
Violin solo was just flawless.
🎻 ^.^
Zubin Mehta is my second favorite conductor to watch - my first is, of course, Leonard Bernstein.
What about Herbert von Karajan?
Pff. Celibidache is the best by far!
@ of course, he is in other league
All of these guys are Superb! What about women though!?

How I miss the abrasive, strident, metallic sound of those violins from that era......

PARIS PARIS !!
this piece is hard
Awesome0025 I agree
la prise de son n'est pas au mieux de sa forme malgré un casque de grande qualité (Bose à près de 300 euros ....
La qualité de toute piste audio sur RUclips est fortement diminuée, à cause de la compression. De plus, c'est un enregistrement de 1987...
7:50 This reminds me of the Shoprite ad …Shoprite “Can-Can” sale !
7:46 중요할듯?
