I’ve visited the White House 8 times, each visit just as thrilling as the last. I never was able to visit while the Obama family lived there. I wished I had, especially since our beautiful home has been enclosed in ugly stockade fence and for the first time, looks like an unwelcome place. Hopefully soon, I might be able to visit again, when a true president of the people once again lives there.

@@MatthewSomethingOrOther absolutely it was! I highly recommend it. My WH tour was October 2019, so pre-covid. Not sure if they’re still doing tours now, but worth a look. Other sights must include the capitol building, war memorials, library of Congress, walking Pennsylvania Ave., any number of the Smithsonian museums, and (trust me on this) the FBI building tour.

Candace Fort Easy-everything possible has been plated in gold or marble, there are little bags of Cheetos instead of apples for a snack, and, of course no-slip rubber on every floor Trump might need to walk on. And some poor soul has to go retrieve Trump from the Residence every weekday at 11AM after “executive time” (in reality, TV-watching time), guide him to the West Wing so he doesn’t get lost on the way, and get him safely back to the Residence around 3 or 4 PM for more “executive time.” Sad.

My father and his were born in Washington DC, I in MD. I've done many a tour in DC but was never in the White House. This was such a treat to see. It was so well done. I loved it! I had just watched White House Down and then googled in about virtual tours of the White House when this one came up. Thanks so much for making it and sharing it. I like how your attitude showed it was the people's house. One of the greats (grandfather) on my father's father's side of the family helped to build the Washington Monument. Not sure how I missed getting to go in the White House but thanks again for this tour! God Bless you!!

I have written to the Obama’s twice and received letters of great insight, encouragement, compassion and most of all true interest in the concerns of which I wrote. To me every time either of them speak their love and true passion for the people of this nation shine through. I had no interest in visiting the White House during our visit to Washington DC because of Trump. I sincerely hope to return again to visit and to spend more time in our nation’s capital. And hopefully visit this amazing house. Thank you President and Mrs. Obama for being one of the very best first families our Nation has ever had. You brought both beauty, honor, integrity and intelligence to us. I sincerely do miss them..
June 2020 and searching YT for Obama presidency videos. This was AMAZING! Cried at the end - he made me feel hopeful and determined. Reminded me of the country I love even though life in the US is so ugly right now. Really needed this reminder of our history, to hear Obama’s calming voice, and a refresher of what a real president is supposed to be.

As an presidential history buff, I am shocked that it took me nearly 7 years to find this incredible video. It is so much more than a tour of the most famous house in the world. It is a living record of the 44th President and First Lady's impressions about what this house means to them and to the country as a whole while they were in office. Since my First School , a desire to visit and study in USA born inside my tiny poor heart but our resources weren't much to afford it, my father was a famer and had a long family to support and take care of; Visiting USA was something I couldn't even dreamt of, all my life, Thanks to the RUclips for letting the people like me to peep inside the world just by laying down here in our Dens. This President and First Lady brought a sense of unity, warmth, humanity, confidence, and hope to our country. I miss them, the country misses them. He was a President of the people and for the people and by a vast majority of the people. "A change is gonna come" because we cannot withstand four more years of what we have endured for the past three and a half years.
