This was a beautiful post. My children met then-Senator Obama outside a subway station in Washington DC in late 2006. They ran up to him, he stopped his cell conversation and talked with them. There was no Secret Service or bodyguards. Just Barack and my son and daughter. Afterward, he thanked me for allowing him to speak with my children. I knew then he was going to become the president

I am not American either. I'm a British expat living in Canada. I believe the world was so much better when Barak and Michelle were in charge. I wish with all my heart that they could come back into power. They were a real team and the welfare of people was their main concern--not power or riches or "stardom".
