A wage slave to an objectively evil businessman who cracks immediately once police pressure is put on him. This is even seen in his soundtrack. The main menu has “MUPPET” playing with only the chorus and first verse playing. This signifies Tatsuya’s journey is just getting started Whereas Shinjou just has the instrumental playing in his boss. This shows he never had a journey to begin with, as he fought without a philosophy Sick boss fight tho

Hyuga, the pride of Dragon Heat, more focusing in giving the public a spectable with a theme full of glamour of being THE best. Yuki, the former violent teacher, who though it would be childs play to teach Tatsuya the harsh lesson of his "fists of love", to make him pay for EVERYTHING he went through. Fujimoto, the Crazy Revenger, who full of hatred had a violent theme that only makes you think of attacking without mercy. Hayato, the Mad Dog, a crazy sonofabitch with a theme as bat shit crazy as him. Chou, The Isolated Wolf, focusing hard in winning to go along with his revenge idea with a violent theme that mirrors well how ruthless he was, and how Tatsuya used to be. Aramaki, The ULTIMATE Soldier, fighting on automatic to kill with a dark theme to show Tatsuya that this fight isn't like the rest. That the man in front of him HAD ALREADY taken many lifes, before. Tetsuji, Iron Shima himself, a ex pro fighting with theme that represents how much fo a legend he was. A true pro of the boxing world. The main man himself, Nogi, with a theme that represents well two things. 1, This is it, your final challenge, and 2, this is your ULTIMATE challenge. Finally Shinjo, with a BADASS instrumental version of the game theme to show you is time to FINISH THIS once and for all. To me Kurohyou nailed down the characters in both 3D and 2D real well, they're not as realistic as Yakuza's style but they look like they have so much personality just by designwise. My favorite was the other Mad Dog from the second game I believe, I haven't played it yet but I hope I will be able to one day.
The funny thing about that is this game came out 2 years before so maybe there's some inspiration for yakzua 5.

The only mainline Yakuza game Naganuma worked on was 5 and a few of the voice actors for the game series (Kinjo’s was the most noticeable) did work for the nameless jobber NPCs in Yakuza 5, so I’d say it’s very likely 5 took inspiration from Kurohyou.

there's a translation for the game out there on the internet (it's not completely finished but the main story stuff and the styles are all fully translated) so I'd recommend going for that if you can get an emulator running
it sucks that I wont be able to finish this game, i have the emulated version, but whenever I have to do that tail mission before the Hayato fight (the one that activates outside of the Dragon Heat entrance on the street), it crashes

If you switch to the Japanese iso, the mission will work. Once you get to save after it, then switch back and it'll work
