- This is my first attempt at honeycomb guys.
Dark yellow is 2/3 translucent premo, and the rest is 18k gold premo, and a touch of yellow premo
Light yellow, I took some of the dark yellow mixture and added some white.
After the skinner blend I wrapped it in a mixture of 50% white premo, and 50% translucent premo

Girl....you are brilliant. Now here I am thinking this was simple (ish).....never thought about a skinner blend or cane involved. Love it....and it is very pretty. Still not very difficult.
Love Land If I was able to find a honey comb textured pattern small enough I would have made a mold, and found another way to work the color, but I just couldn't find one with the holes tiny enough.

Thank you so much :) There is honey comb texture sheet you can place the clay on, and run them through the pasta roller. They are great! Unfortunately I just couldn't find one small enough for a miniature charm. On a larger scale I would use that for sure, with pale clay and translucent, and just darken the honey liquid clay portion.

Hi Heather, I forgot to mention that I have some great silicone molds for tiny objects like bats, crescent rolls, kitties, suckers, and such. I will make and send you different sets of tiny objects to use on your nails. I really think you will love them. You won't believe how tiny and detailed they are. I love making tiny detailed objects. Eileen Penland Thank you very much. I get better through trial and error. It is determination to persevere through failure and willingness try try again, and figure out other ways to get the desired results when I do fail.
To enter the themed challenges I do, you just make suggestions that go with the theme. You make your suggestion by commenting on in the comment section of the video, and if it is the first time the suggestion was made, I add your youtube name to the list, along with the suggestion. The list is long, so the easiest way is to open the document and hit Ctrl and F in order to open a search box and type in the first word of the suggestion. It will highlight that word throughout the document making it easier to find.

***** I was thinking about that while pondering how to best make the honeycomb. I thought a honey pot, a bee, a honey dipper, and a tiny cartoon looking hive would make a great charm bracelet.

I have a night horizon on my nails. sky, ground, stars, crescent moon, and silhouette of a bare tree. I am thinking Nightmare Before Christmas if my nails are long enough next time. I shortened them a ton and had the hard gels removed :(
Hi Heather, I know that I have seen jars of honey with an actual piece of honeycomb in them. Maybe you could make what looks like a honey jar with the honeycomb sticking out of the top and write honey on the front of the jar. Maybe look up honey pot or honey jar on google images for ideas. Lol I agree, but I'm not good with canes. I get so frustrated with them.
I still mess up canes from time to time. I was planning on making canes for the eye lollipops, but didn't want to make a ton of canes, and waste a lot of clay. Canes suck up so much clay. It stinks when they don't turn out

Depending on the size you need I know there are honeycomb texture sheets. I just couldn't find a honey comb texture small enough for a miniature, and had to improvise.

I experimented after filming with leaving some air pockets under the fimo deco gel, and liked the look of it too. :)

there are more cuts. what was the white color? white or a mix color...
Ok. this one really bothered me. I LOVE your what you make and love you showing us how. but this video with all the abrupt cuts was a little bothersome because you never finished saying what you was saying before you cut it off. and this isn't the only one that abruptly cuts off at the end. I dunno this one just really bothered me. maybe it's because I've watched almost all of your videos and this one just set me over the hill with all the abrupt cuts out of nowhere. still... thank you for your videos. I really do love you showing us how to do things. I started making mini foods because of your videos. just remember though, we might need to hear everything you say, so if you cut the vid, just say what you was saying when you come back on.
