I purchased the Renpho as it also syncs with Apple's Health App. So now I have an Apple Watch, scales, and other various health/diet Apps feeding Apple Health a lot of data. The Renpho scales have fantastic features for a budget price.
@@Yeahnahme I agree! I've found that to be the case with my clients as well. That's why, in my app, when they enter their body weights and the weights they're lifting, it creates a graph.
Just bought an ETek scale. The weight seems correct but I know the body fat % is not, seems extremely high. I’ve always been tested at much lower number. Thanks for the great information.
Liked the video instantly due to the H3 Legendary Edition Master Chief helmet haha. The best Halo collectable, non-debatable. Reach statue would be cool, if Reach didn't suck lmao. H1-H3 ftw. 343 Halos don't even compare xD That aside, great review. I'm looking for a scale for my parents and these 2 (due to the price) are the obvious choices. I'm leaning more towards the Etekcity, as they (nor I) have ever owned a "Smart Scale", so cheaping out first time isn't an issue. If they like it, and they actually use the smart features (both have a FitBit (Versa 2 & Charge 3)), then upgrading to a more accurate, more expensive, scale would be worth it. :)
No, they don't. Based on how bioimpedance scales work, there's no way for them to be able to measure that information. I made a video where I explain how they work if you're interested: ruclips.net/video/o1QDugug7mE/видео.html
@@RyanTreadaway Your BMI was much higher on the etekcity scale so it seems you didn't set your height correctly or the scale messed it up, this will for sure mess up the body fat
Which scale are you referring to? In either case, there's no extra setup necessary beyond what I show in this video. If you've went through the setup process I've shown and it's not displaying all the information, you may have a faulty unit.
I personally like the renpho scale better. Etekcity did send me another model that's a bit fancier and actually has the readout for all the different measurements on the scale. I'm reviewing that one in a couple of weeks.
@@RyanTreadaway out of curiosity have your considered doing a reveiw of the different renpho models? They seem to be the unchallenged king of smart scales every where i look. To be honest, I like this model. I feel like it has everything you need. I also like the iDOO scale (also made by Renpho). I have a video of it on the channel as well.
@@RyanTreadaway fair enough. I saw the idoo video as well. I'll look them over again and probably go with one of them. Thanks. When i started looking for scales recently your videos have been by far the most helpful

It can't though. The current is only strong enough to go through one leg and out the other. It only measures the bottom half of your body and has to make a guess about your upper body. Working out regularly will drastically change the body fat content of your upper body.

I noticed that you can input your measurements into the renpho scale. So you know if doing this helps getting more accurate results from the scale?
Yes! Your height is taken into account for all the measurements other than body weight.

@@libtrs838 you might be right. I'm pretty sure I set the height correctly but it's also been a couple of years since this video.
Wait should I get the black or white version of the renpho or is there no difference apart from color?
Just color. I'd personally get the white though. The black will show dirt, dust, etc.

Happy New Year! Yes it does. It plots your daily weights on a graph and you can view the chart as week, month, or year.
